Falls are one of the most serious problem that threatens the health of the elderly. This study was conducted twice a week for six weeks from May to June 2014 to evaluate the effectiveness of fall prevention exercises for rural seniors. This study analyzed the effects by comparing before and after exercise on the TUG, FRT, BBS, ADL, fear of falls, fall efficacy, and depression. The results of this study was as follows: Hypothesis1, "a TUG of post-test will improve more than the pre-test", was supported. Hypothesis3, "BBS of the post-test would improve more than the pre-test" was supported. In addition, the FRT, ADL, fear of fall, fall efficacy, and depression of post-test would improve more than the pre-test. Accordingly this study showed that fall prevention exercises are effective in improving the physical function (TUG, FRT, BBS, and ADL) and emotional function (fear of fall, fall efficacy, and depression) in rural seniors.

Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, $x^2$-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficient using SPSS WIN 14.0 program. All participants were general group 94.5%, potential group 2.5%, high risk group 3.0% classified. Violent, Muscle strengthening did not show a significant difference on three groups. Eating, physical activity, mental-psychological health and internet addiction was a correlation, eating and mental-psychological health did not show a correlation. The study suggests adolescents internet addiction prevention education to include Eating, physical activity, mental-psychological health.
This study was conducted as the primary work to develop a customer relationship management (CRM) system to improve the performance of health screening programs. The specific aims of the study was to identify and classify the characteristics of the people who did not receive their health screening using decision trees and to propose management strategies according to their characteristics identified. The data on a total of 5,102,761 subjects of health screening provided by the National Health Insurance Program in the year of 2002 were used. The target variable was whether they underwent their health screening. The input variables included a total of 27. The SAS 9.1 version was used for data preprocessing and statistical analyses. SAS Enterprise Miner was used to develop the decision trees model. The decision trees identified the factors greatly affecting the health screening. In the non-disease group, the highest rate of non-examinees was characterized by: no experience of receiving a health screen, household's age, non-insured episode for the last one year, and patients' age. In the disease group, the one showing the highest rate of non-examinees was characterized by: no experience of receiving a health screening, no experience of going to public health center or midwife clinic for the last one year, and examinees' age. Developing CRM systems for health screening management taking into account the individual characteristics would be considerably helpful to increase the rate of receiving health screening.
The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of auriculotherapy on menstrual cramps, dysmenorrhea and skin resistance variability(SRV) of the female nursing students. This study was a pre-test and post-test with non-equivalent groups design. The subjects were 64 female university students experiencing dysmenorrhea in Cheonan and Gyeongju; 31 for the treatment group and 33 for the sham treatment group. The subjects of the treatment group received auriculotherapy twice a week for 5 weeks and sham treatment group received sham auriculotherapy using tape. The obtained data were analyzed by SPSS/WIN12.0 program. The menstrual cramps, negative emotions about the menstruation and skin resistance in the treatment group was significantly less than in the sham treatment group. However, there were no statistical differences in autonomic nervous system reactions. Based on these results, auriculotherapy could improve the quality of life for dysmenorrhea of female university students. However, further studies are necessary to support the effect of auriculotherapy and the scientific validity of skin resistance variability(SRV).

Obesity is a major risk factor for various metabolic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and type 2 diabetes mellitus. In this study, we prepared ethanol extracts from Agastache rugosa (ARE), Chrysanthemum zawadskii (CZE), Mentha arvensis (MAE), Perilla frutescens (PFE), Leonurus sibiricus (LSE), Gardenia jasminoides (GJE), and Lycopus coreanus (LCE). The anti-oxidant and anti-adipogenic effects were evaluated. The $IC_{50}$ values for ascorbic acid and LCE against 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radicals were $246.2{\mu}g/mL$ and $166.2{\mu}g/mL$, respectively, followed by ARE ($186.6{\mu}g/mL$), CZE ($198.6{\mu}g/mL$), MAE ($337.1{\mu}g/mL$), PFE ($415.3{\mu}g/mL$), LSE ($548.2{\mu}g/mL$), and GJE ($626.3{\mu}g/mL$). In non-toxic concentration ranges, CZE had a strong inhibitory effect against 3T3-L1 adipogenes (84.5%) than those of the other extracts. Furthermore, the anti-adipogenic effect of CZE is largely limited in the early stage of adipogenesis, and we revealed that the inhibitory role of CZE in adipogenesis is required for the activation of Wnt signaling. Our results provide scientific evidence that the anti-adipogenic effect of CZE can be applied as an ingredient for the development of functional foods and nutri-cosmetics for obesity prevention.

Background: Cassava and corn milling is a growing small-scale enterprise in Africa. We aimed to determine the incidence of hand-arm musculoskeletal complaints among vibration-exposed Congolese cassava and corn millers in the previous 12 months. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted, prior to a follow-up study, from March to May 2013 among cassava/corn millers in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo, in which 365 millers age-matched to 365 civil workers anonymously answered a questionnaire. Results: Overall incidence of hand-arm musculoskeletal complaints was 25.8% in millers (vs. 5.2% in civil workers; p < 0.001). The risk of experiencing musculoskeletal symptoms was seven times higher in millers [vs. civil workers; odds ratio (OR) = 7.10; 95% confidence interval (CI): 4.03-12.50; p < 0.0001]; 2.4 times higher in smoking millers (vs. smoking civil office workers; OR = 2.36; 95% CI: 1.42-3.88; p < 0.001); 3.6 times higher in millers with longer daily exposure (> 8 hours; vs. those working ${\leq}8$ hours; OR = 3.56; 95% CI: 1.93-3.61; p = 0.026); and 7.4 times higher in young millers (vs. older millers, OR = 7.39; 95% CI: 1.29-75.52; p < 0.001). Smoking, number of cigarettes, and daily exposure duration were positively correlated with musculoskeletal complaints. Conclusion: This study revealed a relatively high incidence of musculoskeletal complaints among African cassava and corn millers. The use of anti-vibration protective equipment and the regulation of this hazardous occupation may reduce the burden of musculoskeletal disorders in millers.
Purpose: A descriptive study to focus the life style, self-efficacy and health promotion activity of university students, to analyze the phase-to-phase relationship between and impact on health promoting behaviors. Method: At K University among 225 students on 22-26th August 2014. Self-management and self-efficacy of [24] and health promotion activities of [29] are used for the measuring tools. Results: Health promotion activity with general characteristics is major, living and allowed time is a significant different. Between health promotion activity and self management of health variables were shown moderate correlation. Self-efficacy was too. The relevant explanatory factors influencing the self management of health promotion activities was found to be 64.0%. Conclusion: This study suggests that to improve the health promotion activities, measures to promote self-management and self-efficacy are required and the development of health promotion program is needed.
The study was conducted to identify related risk factor of elderly's suicidal ideation. This study used a cross-sectional design with secondary analysis of the $6^{th}$ 2013 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES). Data for 1,201 elderlies who aged over 65 years old from the KNHANES were included. Suicidal ideation, general characteristics, physical health, psychological health, EuroQoL, and health behavior were measured. Chi-square test, t-test, and multiple logistic regression were used to analyze this data through the SPSS win 22.0 program. In the results, 7.7% of the elderly had suicidal ideation. The odds ratios of suicidal ideation were significantly higher among those with restriction of activity (OR=1.31, CI=1.40~3.82), those with depression (OR=4.44, CI=1.66~7.40), and those with high levels of stress (OR=9.24, CI=3.48~24.5). Therefore, the activity level, depression level, and stress level need to be regularly assessed in order to prevent suicidal ideation among the elderly.
This study was conducted to find out the relationship among several variables such as health status, self-efficacy, health related hardiness, family support and pain in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. The subjects were 108 patients with rheumatoid arthritis who visited the out patient department of Rheumatism at E university hospital in Teajon. Data were collected by questionnaire from November 26, 1999 to January 14, 2000. The instrument used in this study were health status developed by Bae et al(1998), self-efficacy scale developed by KRHPS, health related hardiness modified by Suh(1988), family support scale developed by Kang(1984), Pain with graphic rating scale. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, Pearson Correlation Coefficient, multiple regression using the SPSS Win program. The results were as follows; 1. There were no statistically significant differences between general characteristics and variables such as health status, self-efficacy, health related hardiness and family support respectively. 2. Statistically significant differences were not found between clinical characteristic and variables such as health status, self-efficacy, health related hardiness and family support respectively. 3. Significant correlations were found between health status and self-efficacy, self-efficacy and hardiness, hardiness and family support, health status and pain, self-efficacy and pain respectively(p<0.01), and health status and hardiness, self-efficacy and family support, hardiness and pain respectively(p<0.05). 4. Self-efficacy and pain were significant affecting factors of a health status. In these results, it is suggested that nursing intervention to increase self-efficacy and to reduce pain was very important for patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
