This study was done to identify the relationship between safisfaction with major, critical thinking disposition and nurse image of nursing students. Subjects were 280 associates nursing students (2nd, 3rd, 4th grade) in M university. SPSS 21.0 was used to analyze the data for the descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, and Pearson correlation coefficients. The score for satisfaction of major was 3.81, critical thinking disposition scoring 3.52, nurse image scoring 3.85. Satisfaction of major was significantly positive correlation between critical thinking disposition and nurse image of nursing students. Therefore, increase to satisfaction of major in nursing student, it is necessary to study how to improve the nurse image by improving the critical thinking disposition of nursing students.

The Purpose of this study was to exam the relationships among nurse image, nursing professionalism and major satisfaction and mediating effect. A convenience sample of 200 nursing students were recruited from a college in G city, from May 12 to 16. 2014. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed with SPSS/PC ver 21.0 programs. There were significantly positive correlations between nurse image, nursing professionalism and major satisfaction. Nursing professionalism fully mediated the relationship between nurse image and major satisfaction. These findings indicate that increasing nursing professionalism can be an effective way to change nurse image more positive among nursing students, especially before clinical practice. A collaborative effort among nursing education and nursing leaders in practice is needed to change nurse image more positive.

The Purpose of this study was to examine the relations between nurse image, self-esteem, major satisfaction and career identify of nursing students perceive. The participants of 410 subjects, data was analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, multiple linear regression with the SPSS/WIN 20.0 program. The results: The mean score of nurse image(3.82), self-esteem(2.64), major satisfaction(3.76), career identity(2.64) were abve the average. Nurse image, self-esteem, major satisfaction and career identity showed a positive correlation. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the variables of self - esteem, major satisfaction, and career identity had an explanatory power(Adj R2=33.2% )on image of nurses. Study results suggested that, we propose a program for establishing a positive nurse image to improve the self - esteem, major satisfaction and career identity of nursing students.

The purpose of this study was to investigate levels of self-efficacy, nurse image, vocational identity, and clinical practice satisfaction, to examine relationships among them, and finally to investigate predictors affecting of clinical practice satisfaction in nursing students. The participants were 227 nursing students in D city who were surveyed in September 2018 using self-report questionnaires. Self-efficacy, nurse image, vocational identity, and clinical practice satisfaction were related positively among variables. In the multiple regression analysis, self-efficacy, nurse image, vocational identity, health condition, relationship with practical colleague and 'satisfaction of nursing students in patient's recognition of nursing students' were influential factors significantly associated with the clinical practice satisfaction. Those factors explained 17.9% of the clinical practice satisfaction of nursing students. The most important factors were 'satisfaction of nursing students in patient's recognition of nursing students' and nurse image. In order to improve clinical practice satisfaction of nursing students, whole nurses should consider helping nursing students and patients to build up positive nurse image.

The purpose of this study was to find out a correlation of clinical nurse's character, clinical practice stress, stress coping and factor affecting nursing professional value on nursing students in Korea, and to use it as a basic data in developing nursing professional value promotion programs for nursing students. The study was composed of 145 students who were studying in fourth year student at colleges. Data were collected from May to June, 2019. Data analysis included an independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression using the SPSS program. As a result of this study, nursing professional value of those was significantly correlated with clinical nurse's character, clinical practice stress and stress coping. In a regression analysis, nursing professional value accounted for 38.2%(F=43.973, p=.000), of the variance of clinical nurse's character and stress coping. The most significant factor affection the success of nursing professional value was stress coping(β=.508, p=.000). The result of the study indicates the importance of developing clinical nurse's character and applying variety stress coping method for positive nursing professional value of nursing students.

This study was conducted to determine the types of nurse's image in nurses and nursing students by using Q-methodology. Total 40 Q-samples were extracted from Q-population consisted of the 385 statements, which were collected from 135 nurses with more than one year clinical experience in H city and 250 nursing students at H university. The Q-sample classification was conducted by 10 nurses and 40 nursing students, and data were analyzed by using PQ method program. As results, the types of nurse's images were derived as 'textbooked', 'realistic' and 'periodic.' This study was meaningful in analyzing the types of nurse image from both nurses and nursing students. In order to improve the image of nurses, we propose not only to develop a systematic nursing curriculum but also to develop health and medical policies reflecting reality of care settings.

Purpose: In order to know where to begin, where to focus and how to tailor training and support, nurse educators usually start their work with an assessment of student needs. The purpose of this study was to investigate the needs of nursing students for clinical nursing education. Methods: The participants were 344 nursing students who had experienced clinical practice for one or more years. The instrument was established by a literature review and verified by 9 experts. Data was analyzed using the SPSS program and content analysis. Results: Clinical nursing educational needs of the nursing students were as follows. In preparation for clinical practice, the need for the 'open-lab of fundamental nursing practice' was the highest. In the needs to the clinical nurse educator, nursing students strongly demanded that the clinical teachers show cooperation and respect for students. In the nursing activities, nursing students demanded nursing activities, which included doing measurements, managing infection and nursing responsibilities. Conclusion: To achieve the goals of education, it is important to understand the opinions of students. Therefore, these results will contribute to improving clinical nursing education to achieve nursing competency as a professional nurse.

Purpose: This study was done to identify changes in the image of the nurse for student nurses before and after their first clinical experience. Method: The participants were 108 nursing students who had not had any clinical experience. All participants had their first clinical experience for 1 week. and the image of the nurse was measured before and after the clinical experience. Result : 1) Before the first clinical experience, the scores on the image of the nurse that was the highest for the student nurses was in the professional dimension, followed by traditional, personal, and social in that order. After the clinical experience, the score on the image of the nurse was still the highest in the professional dimension, but this time, it was followed by personal, traditional and social dimension in that order. 2) Difference in the image of the nurse before and after the clinical experience showed statistical significance. The factors influencing this change were the degree of satisfaction with their major, whether the students had ever been hospitalized, and the type of wards where they had their clinical experience. Conclusion: In summary, the first clinical experience should be ideal in order to promote the image of the nurse. Therefore an improvement in the environment for clinical experience is important.

This study was to compare the recognition of future career and nurse's characteristics according to nursing school system. This study was based on cross sectional descriptive method. The data were analyzed by $x^2$-test, t-test, and ANOVA using PASW WIN 18.0 program. The data represented that students who were doing associated degrees or bachelor degrees, showed the similar level recognition of future career and nurse's characteristics. However they showed differences in recognition of the career where they could create and new things(t=2.933, p=.004) and working part time(t=2.328, p=.021). In regards to recognition of nurse's characteristics bachelor degrees students had higher professional ethics($4.59{\pm}.44$). This study proposed that these research results could be used for improving methodology of nursing education.

Purpose: This study was done to identify the influence of clinical learning environment and attitude toward physician-nurse collaboration on professionalism in nursing students. Method: The sample consisted of 317 nursing students. Data were collected from October 10 to December 20, 2014 and were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS statistics version 19. Results: The mean score for clinical learning environment was 3.15 out of 5. The mean score on the Jefferson scale attitude toward physician-nurse collaboration (JSAPNC) was 3.31 out of 4. The mean score for professionalism was 3.70 out of 5. The predictors of professionalism were major satisfaction, 'care vs cure' for the JSAPNC and 'patient relationship', 'student satisfaction' for clinical learning environment. Conclusions: Based on these results, educational programs to improve attitude toward physician-nurse collaboration and clinical learning environment should be developed.
