  • A finite element algorithm for consideration of contact constraints is presented. It is characterized by introducing the geometric constraints, resulting from contact conditions, directly into the algebraic system of equations for the incremental displacements of an incremental iterative solution procedure. The usefulness of the proposed algorithm for efficient solutions of contact problems involving large displacements and large strains is demonstrated in the numerical investigation.

  • Fuzzy approaches used to solve MONLP(Multiobjective Nonlinear Programming Problem) are based on the max-min method of fuzzy sets theory However, since the min operator noncompensatory, these approaches can not guarentee an efficient solution to the problem. In this paper, we presents an algorithm for finding the aggregation operator to find efficient solution. In particular, our presented algorithm is guarentee an efficient solution. On the basis of proposed algorithm, an illustrative numerical example is presented.

  • This paper is concerned with a flow-shop scheduling problem for all jobs having the common due date using V-Shape penalty cost function for earliness and lateness. The objective of the paper is to develop an efficient heuristic scheduling algorithm for minimizing total penalty cost function and for determining the optimal common due date. In addition, the between-job-delay for two machines are considered for developing the algorithm. A numerical example is given for illustrating the proposed algorithm.

  • We are interested in the problem of determining the best fitted circle to a set of data points in space. This can be usually obtained by minimizing the geometric distances or various approximate algebraic distances from the fitted circle to the given data points. In this paper, we propose an algorithm in such a way that the sum of the squares of the geometric distances is minimized in ${\mathbb{R}}^3$. Our algorithm is mainly based on the steepest descent method with a view of ensuring the convergence of the corresponding objective function Q(u) to a local minimum. Numerical examples are given.

  • The main objective of this paper is to develop a concrete inverse formula of the system induced by the fourth-order finite difference method for two-point boundary value problems with Robin boundary conditions. This inverse formula facilitates to make a fast algorithm for solving the problems. Our numerical results show the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method, which is implemented by the Thomas algorithm.

  • In this paper, we propose a new subgradient extragradient algorithm for finding a solution of monotone bilevel equilibrium problem in reflexive Banach spaces. The strong convergence of the algorithm is established under monotone assumptions of the cost bifunctions with Bregman Lipschitz-type continuous condition. Finally, a numerical experiments is reported to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.

  • Quadratic programming problems(QP) have been widely used as a direction-finding subproblem in the engineering and structural design optimization. To develop an efficient solution algorithm for the QP subproblems, theoretical aspects and numerical behavior of mathematical programming methods that can be used as QP solver are studied and compared. For the solution of both primal and dual QP, Simplex, gradient projection(GRP), and augmented Lagrange multiplier algorithms are investigated and coded. From the numerical study, it is found that the primal GRP algorithm with potential constraint strategy and the dual Simplex algorithm are more attractive and effective than the others. They have theoretical robustness as well. Moreover, primal GRP algorithm is preferable in case the number of constraints is larger than the number of design variables. Favorable features of GRP and Simplex algorithm are merged into a combined algorithm, which is useful in the structural design optimization.

  • This paper presents a new simplified harmonics extraction algorithm based on the synchronous reference frame (SRF) for an indirect current controlled (ICC) three-level neutral point diode clamped (NPC) inverter-based shunt active power filter (SAPF). The shunt APF is widely accepted as one of the most effective current harmonics mitigation tools due to its superior adaptability in dynamic state conditions. In its controller, the SRF algorithm which is derived based on the direct-quadrature (DQ) theory has played a significant role as a harmonics extraction algorithm due to its simple implementation features. However, it suffers from significant delays due to its dependency on a numerical filter and unnecessary computation workloads. Moreover, the algorithm is mostly implemented for the direct current controlled (DCC) based SAPF which operates based on a non-sinusoidal reference current. This degrades the mitigation performances since the DCC based operation does not possess exact information on the actual source current which suffers from switching ripples problems. Therefore, three major improvements are introduced which include the development of a mathematical based fundamental component identifier to replace the numerical filter, the removal of redundant features, and the generation of a sinusoidal reference current. The proposed algorithm is developed and evaluated in MATLAB / Simulink. A laboratory prototype utilizing a TMS320F28335 digital signal processor (DSP) is also implemented to validate effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. Both simulation and experimental results are presented. They show significant improvements in terms of total harmonic distortion (THD) and dynamic response when compared to a conventional SRF algorithm.

  • In this paper, we proposed the efficient addressing scheme for improving the performance of routing algorithm by using ZigBee in Smart Grid environment. A distributed address allocation scheme used an existing algorithm that has wasted in address space. Therefore proposing x, y and z coordinate axes from divided address space of 16 bit to solve this problems. Each node was reduced not only bitwise but also multi hop using the coordinate axes while routing than $Cskip$ algorithm. I compared the performance between the standard and the proposed mechanism through the numerical analysis. Simulation verified performance about decrease averaging multi hop count that compare proposing algorithm and another. The numerical analysis results show that proposed algorithm reduced the multi hop better than ZigBee distributed address assignmen.
