공기보조식 (air-assisted) 플래쉬 분무의 분무 각 확대 특성 연구 (Analysis of spray cone angle of air assisted flash atomization)

  • When the water jets heated up to the saturation temperature at a high line pressure are sprayed into a reduced (atmospheric) pressure through an air-assisted nozzle, the jets experience sudden exposure into a reduced pressure, get superheated and produce steam bubbles while atomization processes of jets are taking place. This process is called flash atomization. In this study the flash atomization of superheated water jets assisted by air has been studied. Sprays with flash atomization have been photographed at various water and air flow rates and water superheats. It has been found that the spray angle with flash atomization increases with water superheat and water flow rate but decreases with air flow rate. The degree of change of spray angle has been analyzed and correlated as a function of superheat, air and water flow rates.

  • 해양방류구에서 연직밀도구배가 있고, 임의의 수류의 방향과 속도를 가지고 흐르는 주변수중으로 방류되는 폐수의 초기 최소 희석도와 최종상승고를 예측하는 개선된 수학적 모형을 제시하였다. 밀도구배가 없는 균일한 수중에서 선분플륨의 방류실험을 통하여 얻은 결과를 이용하여 선형밀도구배를 가진 수중으로 방류되는 경우에 대한 해가 유도되었다. 유속, 유향, 밀도의 성층화 및 노즐의 형태에 대한 영향이 고찰되었으며 계산결과는 실험치와 비교되었다.

  • In the present industry, three-dimensional colored shape has required for realistic prototype in rapid manufacturing. Z-corporation developed 3D printer which can color three-dimensional prototype but this process can't be adopted to other rapid prototype products and spend much time and cost coloring 3D shape. In this study a new coloring process on three-dimensional surface is proposed for realistic prototype. Three-dimensional surface coloring apparatus is composed of HP ink jet head and X-Y plotter. Distance and angle between ink jet nozzle and 3D surface are set as process parameter. Based on the experiment of process parameters, it is shown that distance and angle affected on printed image on 3D surface. Circle and line shape are chosen as standard image shape because the shape has widely used as standard in 2D printing. Consequently, the distorted image on 3D surface is corrected by transformed input image data.

  • One-Drop-Filling (ODF) process is an advanced vacuum filling process in LCoS manufacture line. The merits not only increase the throughput of liquid crystal filling process but also reduce the number of equipments. Studying application of ODF process in LCoS panel manufacturing is the purpose of is this article. The accuracy of liquid crystal drop size, the stability of seal dispensing and the nozzle size etc. In the tiny panel manufacture are more important than those factors in normal panel manufacture.

  • This paper describes aerodynamic preliminary design performance prediction and flow analysis for turbine of the marine middle engine turbocharger. The performance characteristics of turbocharger turbine are investigated at various operating conditions using mass flow rate and computational flow analysis for rotor and nozzle at design point are performed. Preliminary design results are performed by applying mean line and radial equilibrium theory. Performance prediction and flow analysis results show good agreement with experiments. From 3 dimensional flow analysis result, efficiency is 0.6% greater than design point. Therefore, this design approach is useful for preliminary design, and helps to increase the design capability for optimized rotor blade.

  • A new air knife system for coating thickness control in hot dip galvanizing process had been developed and installed on the CGL in Pohang Steel Works, POSCO. This new system consists of air knives with remotely adjustable nozzle slot and an automatic control system which can control both longitudinal and traverse coating deviations. Based on the optimal control algorithm, a traverse coating deviation control was designed. The controller controls the lip profile of the air knives with flexible structure according to the deviation of coating weight. From the measured values which are dependent on the strip width, the lip gaps are calculated with optimal algorithm and the model of the coating deviation. Time delay between knives and a coating thickness gauge is solved by the Smith Predictor.

다성분연료 분무에 있어서 증발과정의 해석모델 제안 (Propose an Analysis Model of Evaporation Process in Multi-Component Fuel Spray)

  • The evaporation process of multi-component fuel is different from one of a single component, because the properties of each component affects among the components. In actual engine, the spatial distribution of fuel vapor concentration dominates auto-ignition and initial combustion, and depends on the volatility and diffusivity of each component fuel contained in the multi-component fuel. Then, this study proposes a simplified numerical scheme for analysis of evaporation process of multi-component fuel sprays. Evaporation process is calculated by KIVA-II code based on the simple two-phases region that is approximated by modified saturated liquid-vapor line, which was obtained by connecting the 50% distillation temperature for each component under several pressure fields. Consequently, it can be quantitatively simulated that vapor of low boiling fuel component mostly exists around nozzle and spray tip region, the high boiling duel component, on the other hand, mostly appears near the spray tip.

터보펌프 부분흡입형 터빈 공력설계

  • 본 연구에서는 액체로켓에 쓰이는 터보펌프 부분흡입현 터빈의 1차원 공력계산 및 구조설계에 대해 고찰하였다. 터빈은 노즐, 로터, 후방유도익등으로 나누어 각각에 대해 공력 특성을 계산식으로부터 유도하였고 CFD 계산을 통해 그 타당성을 입증하였다. 속도삼각형과 같은 1차원 설계 변수들은 평균선 방정식을 이용하여 수행되었고 2-D, 3-D CFD 계산을 통해 보정되었다. 블레이드 익형은 CFD 최적화기법을 통해 결정되었다. 향후, 열응력계산, 구조응력계산을 통한 열적/구조적 거동에 대해 연구가 필요하다.

연료캠 형상에 따른 PLN 디젤 분사계의 분사특성에 관한 시뮬레이션 (Simulation on the Characteristics of PLN Diesel Injection System by Cam Profile)

  • In this study, in order to investigate the influence of cam profile on the injection rate, the characteristics of injection in PLN (pump - line - nozzle) diesel injection system were simulated. Six types of the profile of fuel cam were used for simulation. The maximum injection pressure and maximum injection rate of initial and end phase were analyzed to demonstrate the characteristics of injection. The mathematical model of the injection system and the computation results were verified by experimental results. Simulation results showed that the maximum injection pressure, maximum injection rate, injection quantity and pressure drop in the end phase were proportional to the velocity of fuel cam during the effective stroke.

알칼리탈지공정 자동화관리에 의한 표면처리용 강판의 탈지능 향상 (Improvement of the Degreasing Performance of Surface Treating Steel Sheet by the Automatic Control of Alkaline Degreasing Process)

  • Experiments on the automatic control of NaOH concentration and on the spraying condition of NaOH solution in the alkaline degreasing process of a continuous hot-dip galvanizing line have been carried out in order to improve degreasing performance of a galvanizing sheet steel using laboratory degreasing and galvanizing simulators. The concentration of NaOH for the good degreasing has been determined to be 6.0% and more and this concentration has been able to be automatically well controlled within $\pm$0.1% by employing a solution electrical conductivity meter under a flow injection analysis condition rather than by employing a sodium ion selective electrode in the degreasing simulator. Frequent blocking of the spraying nozzles of the solution has been reduced considerably by the set-up and periodical operation of an automatic valve system in the nozzle system. By applying this automatic valve system and by automatic controlling the NaOH concentration and other ordinary variables in the degreasing process, the degreasing performance has been increased from the conventional 76% to the new 85%.
