This study focuses on red snow crabs for fisheries cooperation in South Korea, North Korea, and Japan. South Korea, North Korea, and Japan have had experience in promoting red snow crab fisheries cooperation. However, this cooperation is now discontinued. South Korea, North Korea, and Japan are required to play a role in mediating South Korea in order to promote red snow crabs fisheries cooperation. South Korea has the capacity to carry out economic intervention in North Korea and Japan. This is even more so in the red snow crabs. On the other, South Korea, North Korea and Japan's red snow crabs fisheries cooperation can develop into Northeast Asian fisheries cooperation including Russia and China. This can be done through the major fisheries of the East Sea, the squid and the alaska pollocks. The role of the Korean peninsula is important in Northeast Asian fisheries cooperation.

This paper deals with the e-Commerce Cooperation between South and North Korea for Promotion of GaeSung Industrial Complex that has been evaluated as the most successful project for inviting the foreign investment of South Korea because many small and medium enterprises are rushing to invest to that Complex. The e-Commerce cooperation between South and North Korea in GaeSung Industrial Complex are playing a role for North Korea survives in the global digital world in that the cooperation is shifted to IT and e-commerce as well as. North Korea has the policy to increase national wealth to uphold the IT industry. The e-Commerce Cooperation between South and North Korea in GaeSung Industrial Complex will develop the e-commerce in North Korea and increase the e-Commerce between South and North Korea in the future.

This study examines the technical level of North Korea's S&T and identifies areas for potential North-South cooperation. First, North Korean media is analyzed for situations and trends from 2010 to 2015. Despite some commendable achievements, North Korean S&T remains lacking in basic science and commercialization potential. Despite an awareness of the importance of international cooperation, North Korea is hampered by international sanctions and their own caution, consequently concentrating their efforts on China. Details of their cooperation reflect their interests and needs to a certain extent, although their collaborations were mainly in the form of meetings and conferences rather than active joint research. To assess the potential areas of cooperation with South Korea, this study also draws on interviews with NGOs and professionals working with North Korea. The country's present situation is analyzed and some practical examples of possible cooperation is suggested. North Korea has the potential to expand its cooperation not only with South Korea but with many other countries. North Korea also promisingly expresses interest in cooperation.

학술과 문화 기반의 비이념적 정보교류협력은 비정치적이면서도 장기적 관점에서 민족 동질성과 신뢰회복에 가장 효과적일 수 있는 남북한 협력사업의 영역이라 할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 통일 한국을 대비하여 단계적인 남북한 협력기반 조성을 위해 국가도서관을 매개로 한 남북 문화교류협력에 관한 방안들을 조사 분석하였다. 관련하여 북한도서관의 기능과 한계 및 현재적 관점에서의 사회적 활용성을 살펴보고, 그간의 도서관교류협력사업을 남북한 문화분야 협력사업이라는 틀안에서 검토하였다. 이에 협력 거버넌스 체계구축 등 다섯 가지 협력안을 기반으로 남북 도서관교류협력의 단계적 모형을 제안하였다.

Since a declaration between North and South Korea was adopted, North and South Korea has strengthened the interchange and cooperation between each other in many fields. Especially, the interchange and cooperation in the field of industrial property right, such as patent and trademark, are required to keep up with the age of the knowledge industry. But, until a recent date, there has been little interchange or cooperation in the field of industrial property right, and a few major companies were attempt to apply for the patent in North Korea through the Third country The system of industrial property laws in North and South Korea are very different because of time and political ideology barriers. To unify the system of industrial property laws in North and South Korea, firstly, North and South Korea must try to recognize and understand the dissimilarity between them. In this article, I compared the system of industrial property law of South Korea with that of North Korea to search commonalities and dissimilarities. Furthermore, it is needed to establish systematic devices for understanding of between North and South Korea, for instance, conducting a interdisciplinary seminar or dispatching a judge mutually. Finally, it is necessary to phase in a practical plan for unification. In the short run, mutual application and registration have to be authorized, and in the long view, unifying the practice of industrial property law service is needed. At the conclusion, the industrial property laws in North and South Korea can be unified systematically. In other words , to unify system of industrial property laws in North and South Korea, it is prerequisite that mutual understanding of industrial property laws and performance of the unify plan. The interchange and cooperation in this field will not only promote technical development but also create common interests of North and South Korea by expanding an opportunity for creating and utilizing industrial property.

Purpose - This study aims to lay the foundation for a desirable direction to solve future environmental problems through framework research on environmental cooperation according to distribution of urbanization between South and North Korea. The article also attempts to explore solution to two Koreas' environmental problems from the cooperative perspective between South and North Korea and draw future policy tasks. Research design, data, and methodology - For methodology, North Korea's legal system to cope with disasters is taken into consideration in terms of literature review. This study also analyzes a series of processes related to North Korea's disaster management through case study, and draws policy measures for North and South Korea's cooperation scope and methods. Result - The results support that North Korea is very vulnerable to environmental disasters due to food shortages, economic sanctions, and enormous natural disaster damages including flood damages occurring each year, because of the lack of disaster prevention infrastructure such as river maintenance. Conclusion - At the current time when North and South Koran exchange and cooperation increase, a disaster management cooperative system is needed for the areas where South and North Korea manage through division. It also suggests that there is a need to establish regulations and procedures for support items in advance for a quick response to disasters in North Korean region.

This paper aims at exploring financing methods for port development in response to unification of South and North Korea. In so doing, methods of port financing employed by major countries have been enumerated. Major financing sources for the two Korea, among others, taxes, public bond, public administration fund, establishment of harbour maintenance tax, port development tax, port development fund, Civil Economic Cooperation Fund of South and North Korea, and Fund for Port Development of North Korea and, fund for cooperation of South and North Korea, Economic Development Cooperation Fund, borrowing of foreign capital, project financing, domestic civil capital investment, foreign capital investment, application of cross-subsidization principle, etc. were suggested.

Assuming the united Korea, total population is estimated to be 70 million and grain demand for the people is estimated to reach 30 million metric tons. Cultivated land in North Korea is about the same as South Korea i.e. 2 million hectares. However grain production in North Korea is about one half of South Korea's, 6 million metric tons in the South and 3 million metric tons in the North a year. This implies that the United Korea need to import more than 20 million metric tons of grain a year and it will trigger many economic and social problems for the United Korea. In order to meet deficient grain supply, the United Korea can choose three possible policy options; importation of grains or increased investment in foreign agricultural development or increase in domestic supply Among the possible policy options, increase in domestic supply is desirable and can be achieved by developing North Korea's grain supply potential. North Korean agricultural development can also be achieved most effectively through cooperation between the South and North. An effective policy option for agricultural cooperation between the South and North is supply of agricultural inputs such as fertilizer and pesticides and exchanges of agricultural technology. Cooperation between the South and North in the agricultural sector should be achieved and developed further to solve the potential food problem before unification.

This research explores a framework of selecting suitable industry cooperation ares between South Korea and North Korea using analysis of science and technology(S&T) competitiveness. First, a generic framework to set up S&T cooperation with North Korea, which involves both a continuity as an evolving process and a peculiarity of S&T, is presented. Second, a selection procedure of specific S&T areas for South and North cooperation is suggested. It is also demonstrated how to select suitable S&T cooperation areas under two types of scenarios. Finally, promotion strategies for each scenario are described.

From the present geographical environment of Korean peninsular the Republic of Korea is worser than the an island country of Japan In the point of Northeastern Asia energy network. Therefore the energy cooperation with South and North Korea is direct connect to the Northeast Asian Energy Network. It is most important that North Korea promotes the economics by themselves through the solving of their energy Problem with South Korea. Therefore, at the moment it is necessary to support North Korea with the cooperation of energy technologies that could be useful to set up the Northeast Asia Energy Network and which is important to form the energy system of Korean peninsular. In this paper to importance of cooperation for energy technology and the present of economics and energy demand/supply in North Korea and energy technology of North Korea & the comparison energy technology level of the both countries and cooperation between South and North Korea is described.
