  • Experimental investigation on the tribological behavior of fiber-reinforced plastics(FRP) has been studied. It is shown that the frictional behavior of carbon FRP depends on the fiber-orientation while glass FRP does not. The friction coefficient values for carbon FRP were about 0.8, 0.3, and 0.2 for normal, 45$^{\circ}$ and 0$^{\circ}$ sliding directions respectively. Also, the applied load was found to affect the friction coefficient. In the case of this work, 50 gf resulted in the highest value while 200 gf resulted in the lowest value. The friction coefficients for higher loads fell in between the two extreme values.

  • In 1996, Br$\ddot{u}$ck studied the relation between f and f' if an entire function f shares one value a CM with its first derivative f' and posed the famous Br$\ddot{u}$ck conjecture. In this work, we generalize the value a in the Br$\ddot{u}$ck conjecture to a small function ${\alpha}$. Meanwhile, we prove that the Br$\ddot{u}$ck conjecture holds for a class of meromorphic functions.

  • By using the analytic methods, the mean value of the general quadratic Gauss sums weighted by the first power mean of character sums over a short interval is investigated. Several sharp asymptotic formulae are obtained, which show that these sums enjoy good distributive properties. Moreover, interesting connections among them are established.

  • We study the existence of an intermediate solution of nonlinear elliptic boundary value problems (BVP) of the form $$ (BVP) {\Delta u = f(x,u,\Delta u), in \Omega {Bu(x) = \phi(x), on \partial\Omega, $$ where $\Omega$ is a smooth bounded domain in $R^n, n \geq 1, and \partial\Omega \in C^{2,\alpha}, (0 < \alpha < 1), \Delta$ is the Laplacian operator, $\nabla u = (D_1u, D_2u, \cdots, D_nu)$ denotes the gradient of u and $$ Bu(x) = p(x)u(x) + q(x)\frac{d\nu}{du} (x), $$ where $\frac{d\nu}{du} denotes the outward normal derivative of u on $\partial\Omega$.

  • We deduce the necessary conditions for the optimality of endpoint constrained optimal control problem. These conditions comprise the adjoint equation, the maximum principle and the transversality condition. We assume that the cost function is merely differentiable. Therefore the technique under Lipschitz continuity hypothesis is not directly applicable. We introduce Fermat's rule and value function technique to obtain the results.

  • The main objectives of this dissertation is to propose a forth generation index C for the case where the target value T is not equal to the midpoint of the specification limits (i.e. asymmetric tolerances), and show that this index is more sensitive compared to the standard PCI's in detacting small shifts of the process mean from the target value. In conclusion, in this dissertation , a new methods for estimating a measure of process capability for non-normally distributed variable data is proposed using the percentage nonconforming.

  • The growth of solutions of second order complex differential equations f" + A(z)f' + B(z)f = 0 with transcendental entire coefficients is considered. Assuming that A(z) has a finite deficient value and that B(z) has either Fabry gaps or a multiply connected Fatou component, it follows that all solutions are of infinite order of growth.

  • Recently, a new kind of multiple zeta value of level two T(k) (which is called multiple T-value) was introduced and studied by Kaneko and Tsumura. In this paper, we define a kind of alternating version of multiple T-values, and study several duality formulas of weighted sum formulas about alternating multiple T-values by using the methods of iterated integral representations and series representations. Some special values of alternating multiple T-values can also be obtained.

  • The purpose of this study is to study the perceived value of consumers of traditional Chinese music training institutions, and the resulting research on the impact of customers' purchase intentions. This research refers to relevant literature on customer perceived value and customer purchase intention, and divides customer perceived value into five value dimensions: emotion, quality, experience, price and reputation. Questionnaire survey method, using SPSS analysis AMOS tool to conduct empirical research, the research results show that customer perceived value has an important positive impact on purchase intention in five value dimensions of emotion, quality, price, experience and reputation, which is a traditional music training institution. Provide reference and suggestions for improvement.
