  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of wooden anglican church architecture in Chungcheong area. For this study, I have selected ten anglican churches, and have studied the characteristic through the actual survey and analysis. This study focuses on the architectural characteristics and evolution of wooden anglican church in chungcheong area, based on the actual survey and historical analysis. The results of this study is as follows:1)The shape of plan is long axis composed of the entry and altar. 2)The shape of elevation is composed of the roof form and existence and nonexistence of bell-tower. 3)The shape of section in divided into one kan and three kan way, by the existence and nonexistence of a row of columns in the interior. 4)The structure and design follows roof-framing.

  • We consider the equation ${\Delta}_mu=p(x)u^{\alpha}+q(x)u^{\beta}$ on $R^N(N{\geq}2)$, where p, q are nonnegative continuous functions and 0 < ${\alpha}{\leq}{\beta}$. Under several hypotheses on p(x) and q(x), we obtain existence and nonexistence of blow-up solutions both for the superlinear and sublinear cases. Existence and nonexistence of entire bounded solutions are established as well.

  • The purpose of this paper is to give a sufficient condition for the existence, nonexistence and uniqueness of coexistence of positive solutions to a rather general type of elliptic competition system of the Dirichlet problem on the bounded domain ${\Omega}$ in $R^n$. The techniques used in this paper are upper-lower solutions, maximum principles and spectrum estimates. The arguments also rely on some detailed properties for the solution of logistic equations. This result yields an algebraically computable criterion for the positive coexistence of competing species of animals in many biological models.

  • In this article, we first introduce the notion of commuting Ricci tensor and pseudo-anti commuting Ricci tensor for Hopf hypersurfaces in the homogeneous nearly Kähler 𝕊3 × 𝕊3 and prove that the mean curvature of hypersurface is constant under certain assumptions. Next, we prove the nonexistence of Ricci soliton on Hopf hypersurface with potential Reeb vector field, which improves a result of Hu et al. on the nonexistence of Einstein Hopf hypersurfaces in the homogeneous nearly Kähler 𝕊3 × 𝕊3.

  • In this paper, we study complete Riemannian immersions into a semi-Riemannian warped product obeying suitable curvature constraints. Under appropriate differential inequalities involving higher order mean curvatures, we establish rigidity and nonexistence results concerning these immersions. Applications to the cases that the ambient space is either an Einstein manifold, a steady state type spacetime or a pseudo-hyperbolic space are given, and a particular investigation of entire graphs constructed over the fiber of the ambient space is also made. Our approach is based on a parabolicity criterion related to a linearized differential operator which is a divergence-type operator and can be regarded as a natural extension of the standard Laplacian.

  • Two fundamental issues exist in the damage theory of geo-material based on the concept of thermodynamics: existence or nonexistence of the dissipation potential, and whether the dissipation potential could be decoupled into a damage potential and a plastic one or not. Thermodynamics theory of elastoplastic damage assumes the existence of dissipation potential, but the presence of dissipation potential is conditional. Based on the dissipation inequality in accord with the second law of thermodynamics, the sufficient and necessary conditions are given for the existence of the dissipation potential separately in total and incremental forms firstly, and proved strictly in theory. With taking advantage of the basic mechanical properties of geo-materials, the nonexistence of the dissipative potential is verified. The sufficient and necessary conditions are also given and proved for the decoupling of the dissipation potential of geo-materials in total and incremental forms. Similarly, the non-decoupling of the dissipation potential has also been proved, which indicates the dissipation potential of geo-materials in total or incremental forms could not be decoupled into a dissipative potential for plasticity and that for damage respectively. The research results for the fundamental issues in the thermodynamics theory of damage will help establish and improve the theoretic basis of elastoplastic damage constitutive model for geo-materials.

A Study on the Academic Discussion on the Presence of Upper and Lower Gates of Urinary Bladder (방광(膀胱)의 상하구(上下口) 유무(有無) 논쟁에 대한 고찰(考察))

  • Objectives : The paper's objective is to study into the books dealing in the debate surrounding the existence, or nonexistence, of urinary bladder's upper gate and lower gate, a debate that ensured since the publication of Huangdineijing. Methods : Sikuquanshu and Zhongyishijia databases were searched to collect related materials, and these materials were reviewed to get an understanding of the historical development of the debate. Results : The upper gates of urinary bladder was first mentioned in Nanjing. Since then, Wanglu's Yijingsuhuiji asserted that the upper gate exists while the lower didn't, but many argued after the dawning of Ming Dynasty that the upper doesn't exist while the lower does. Additionally, some urged in relation to the assertion of the nonexistence of upper gate that water liquid pervades into the urinary bladder through sebaceous membrane or oil net. Conclusions : Behind the debate between the existence or nonexistence of the upper and lower gates in urinary bladder is the theory of qi transformation. Even the anatomical knowledge of urinary bladder was submitted as an evidence. In general, the debate developed depending on how the differences between Huangdineijing's osmotic opinion and Nanjing's existence of the upper gate were perceived.
