  • We have proposed a novel self-aligned offset gated polysilicon TFTs device without an offset mask in order to reduce a leakage current and suppress a kink effect. The photolithographic process steps of the new TFTs device are identical to those of conventional non-offset structure TFTs and an additional mask to fabricate an offset structure is not required in our device due to the self-aligned process. The new device has demonstrated a lower leakage current and a better ON/OFF current ratio compared with the conventional non-offset device. The new TFT device also exhibits a considerable reduction of the kink effect because a very thin film TFT devices may be easily fabricated due to the elimination of contact over-etch problem.

A Improved Scene based Non-uniformity Correction Algorithm for Infrared Camera

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient scene based non-uniformity correction algorithm which performs the offset correction using the uniform obtained from input scenes for Infrared camera. In general, pixel outputs of a infrared detector can not be uniform. Therefore, the non-uniformity correction procedure need to be performed to make the image outputs uniform. A typical non-uniformity correction method uses a black body at the laboratory to obtain the output of the infrared detector's pixels for two temperatures, HOT and COLD, and calculates the non-uniformity correction parameters. However, output characteristics of the Infrared detector changes while the Infrared camera is operated, the fixed pattern noise of the Infrared detector and dead pixels are generated. To remove the noise, the offset correction is generally performed. The offset correction procedure usually need the additional device such as a thermo-electric cooler, shutter, or non-uniformity correction lens. Therefore, we introduce a general scene based non-uniformity correction technique without additional equipment, and then we propose an improved non-uniformity correction algorithm based on image to solve the problem of the existing technique.

얇은 두께 솔리드의 효율적인 모델링을 위한 박판 옵셋 알고리즘 개발 (Sheet Offsetting Algorithms for Efficient Solid Modeling for Thin-Walled Parts)

  • This paper describes an efficient solid modeling method for thin-walled plastic or sheet metal parts, based on the non-manifold offsetting operations. Since the previous methods for modeling and converting a sheet into a solid have adopted the boundary representations for solid object as their topological framework, it is difficult to represent the exact adjacency relationship between topological entities of a sheet model and a mixture of wireframe and sheet models that can appear in the meantime of modeling procedure, and it is hard to implement topological operations for sheet modeling and transformation of a sheet into a solid. To solve these problems, we introduce a non-manifold B-rep and propose a sheet conversion method based on a non-manifold offset algorithm. Because the non-manifold offset aigorithm based on mathematical definitions results in an offset solid with tubular and spherical thickness-faces we modify it to generate the ruled or planar thickness-faces that are mostly shown in actual plastic or sheet metal parts. In addition, in order to accelerate the Boolean operations used the offset algorithm, we also develope an efficient face-face intersection algorithm using topological adjacency information.

비다양체 모델의 옵셋 기능 개발 (Offsetting Operations in Non-manifold Geometric Modeling)

  • This paper introduces non-manifold offsetting operations, which add or remove a uniform thickness from a given non-manifold model. Since these operations can be applied to not only solids but also wireframe or sheet objects, they are potentially useful for pipeline modeling, sheet metal and plastic part modeling, tolerance analysis, clearance checking, constant-radius rounding and filleting of solids, converting of abstracted models to solids, HC too1 path generation and so on. This paper describes mathematical properties and algorithms for non-manifold offsetting. In this algorithm, a sufficient set of tentative faces are generated first by offsetting all or a subset of the vertices, edges and faces of the non-manifold model. And then they are merged into a model using the Boolean operations. Finally topological entities which are within offset distance are removed. The partially modified offsetting algorithms for wireframes or sheets are also discussed in order to provide more practical offset models.

  • 본 논문에서는 비선택성 페이딩과 주파수 오프셋이 함께 존재하는 채널과 마이크로파 대역의 2경로 Rummer's 채널 환경에서 적응 등화기를 채용한 OFDM 시스템의 성능을 분석하였다. 주파수 비선택성 페이딩과 주파수 오프셋이 함께 존재하는 채널에서 시스템 성능 분석 결과 주파수 오프셋의 증가에 따른 성능이 급격히 열화 됨을 알 수 있다, 그리고 시스템에서 적응 등화기를 채용한 경우에는 일정 범위 내에서 성능 향상이 이루어짐을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • In this study, applicability of GHG ETS Offset Program in Korea for a refrigerant sector was analyzed by reviewing foreign management policy and project status in progress related to refrigerants in the disposal stage. In order to derive the implication of the domestic Offset Program, it was looked into approved offset projects and certified offset credits current state in Korea. Offset Program has approved 22 methodologies up to the present, so it is necessary to enhance the accessibility to GHG reduction in various industrial sector including the refrigerant sector by developing appropriate methodologies. In this study firstly, it was investigated that management regulation of countries are managing the refrigerants in the disposal stage such as United States, Japan, Australia. Secondly, of CDM methodologies there were two methodologies associated with the refrigerant reduction(treatment), which were decomposition HFC-23 and destruction of HFC-134a. Also there were a non-registered methodology about destruction of HFC-134a of end of life vehicles. Lastly, in California according to Compliance Offset Program, there was Compliance Offset Protocol in ODS Projects that provided eligible conditions.   • The offset voltage in silicon Hall plates is mainly caused by stress and strain in package, and by alignment in process. The offset voltage is appeared random for condition change with time in the factory, is non-linearly changed with temperature. In this paper proposed new method of design of Hall IC, and methematicaly proved relation layout of chip of 90$^{\circ}$-shift-current Hall plate pair is matched with "Differentail to single ended Conversion amplifier." In the experiment, the offset voltage is reduced about 1/100 time than the original offset voltage.

A BER Performance of Analysis and Comparison for Ultra-Narrowband Digital Radio System

  • In this paper, we evaluate the performance of the digital modulation schemes described in the APCO Project 25 FDMA specifications which can be used for applying the ultra-narrowband technology to the current domestic simple two-way radio systems, and discuss difficulties in the DSP implementation of the systems. We analyze the effect on the systems' BER performance of receiver non-matched filter and frequency-offset between the transmitter and receiver oscillators. And we present a frequency offset compensation method for improving the system performance. The results of performance analysis showed that the CQPSK of APCO Project 25 using non-matched filter degraded the BER by 0.5~1.0 ㏈ comparing with PI/4 DQPSK using matched filter. In the event of 2 % frequency offset, about 1 ㏈ performance loss was produced at the BER of $$10^{-3}TEX>. With the frequency-offset compensation method implemented in the systems using phase recovery scheme of PSK synchronization detection, the performance degradation of about 1.0 ㏈ was occurred at the BER of $$10^{-3}TEX> for 10 % of frequency offset. The proposed method can be used for the improvement of system performance.

적외선 비디오에서 Gain과 Offset 결합 보정을 통한 고정패턴잡음 제거기법 (Fixed Pattern Noise Reduction in Infrared Videos Based on Joint Correction of Gain and Offset)

  • 대부분의 최근 적외선 센서는 focal-plane array (FPA) 구조로 되어있다. 이러한 구조의 센서는 공간적 불균일 응답성을 갖는 것으로 알려져 있고, 이로 인해 고정패턴잡음을 발생시킴으로써 영상열화를 가져온다. 따라서 적외선 영상의 고정패턴잡음을 제거하기 위해서는 픽셀 불균일 보정을 해야 한다. 픽셀 불균일 보정기법은 참조물체기반 접근법과 영상기반 접근법으로 나눌 수 있다. 참조물체기반 접근법에서는 흑체와 같은 균일한 온도를 갖는 물체를 이용해서 고정패턴잡음을 분리시킬 수 있는 방법이다. 하지만 센서의 응답성은 시간이 지나면서 변할 수 있기 때문에, 최근에는 비디오 영상을 이용하는 영상기반 접근법이 많이 연구되고 있다. 영상기반 접근법들 중에서 칼만 필터를 기반으로 하는 최신 알고리듬은 영상 간에 움직임 보상 시에 한 방향 워핑을 이용하고 센서의 offset 불균일성만을 보상해준다. 하지만 한 방향 워핑을 이용한 시스템 모델은 영상의 경계 부근에서 고정패턴잡음을 효과적으로 제거하지 못한다. 게다가, offset만 보정하는 접근법은 gain의 불균일성의 영향을 많이 받는 영상에서는 성능이 악화될 수 있다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 양방향 워핑을 이용하여 시스템 모델링을 하고, gain과 offset의 결합 보정을 수행하는 알고리듬을 제안한다. 모사 영상과 실제 영상에 대한 실험 결과들은 제안하는 알고리듬이 기존 알고리듬들보다 더 효과적으로 고정패턴잡음을 제거하는 것을 확인할 수 있다.

  • In this paper, We have investigated the SER performance of a OFDM/QPSK system with carrier-frequency offset in a frequency non-selective fading channel. Adaptive linear equalizer is adopted to OFDH/QPSK systems for compensation of performance degradation according to the non-selective fading and carrier frequency offset. As a result of performance analysis, the more frequency offset is, the worse performance of OFDH/QPSK system is. However, when OFDH/QPSK system adopts the adaptive linear equalizer, the SER performance is enhanced to the limit range
