동력전달용 기계부품의 물성 확보를 위한 인라인 인산염 피막처리 공정기술개발 (Research on the Development of Inline Phosphate Coating Process Technology to Secure the Properties of Parts for Power Transmission Machinery)

  • The steel wire or steel bar processing process applied to the manufacture of various bolts and power transmission shafts was improved by applying in-line phosphate film treatment technology. By applying a polymer lubricant for a non-reactive metal forming process and a non-reactive non-phosphorus lubricating coating agent, the film formation for each process time was comparatively analyzed and reviewed. Compared to the nine processes applied previously, the in-line phosphate film treatment technology applied with only two processes has been effectively improved in terms of reduction of treatment time, reduction of facility installation area, prevention of water pollution due to wastewater, and non-use of ozone-depleting substances. In addition, it was found that it can have an important effect on productivity improvement and price competitiveness from the simplification of quality control and process control as well as improvement of the working environment.

알루미늄 7075 복합압출재에 대한 공정해석 및 설계 (Analysis and Design of a Forming Porcess for Combined Extrusion with Aluminum AIIoy 7075)

  • A Combined extrusion operation consists of forward and backward extrusion forming and it is possible to make the process be simple by employing it. But the metal flow pattern induced by the operation is hard to analyze accurately because the flows are non-steady, which have at least two directions dependent upon each other. So engineers in the industrial factories had conducted the two extrusion operations separately. A new process was designed by the industrial expert for forming of an alu-minum preform using the combined extrusion operation. In this study, experiments and finite element analysis was carried out to determine the process parameters. Through the preliminary experiment, it was shown that warm forming condition was more desirable than cold or hot ones. And optimal shape of initial billet could be also determined. From the compatibility test, bonde-lube was chosen as the optimal lubricant and 20$0^{\circ}C$ as the material temperature by the inspection of micro-structure. The operation was simulated by the rigid-plastic finite element method to examine the metal flow. Disap-pearing of dead metal zone was observed as the punch fell down and desirable shape was obtained from the one operation. As a result of this study, 7 operations could be reduced and 225% of material saved.

  • Friction for sheet metal forming affects improvement of deep drawing formability. The deep drawing is affected by many process variables, such as lubricant, blank shapes, shape radius and so on. Especially, lubrication is very important formability factor. In this study, in order to investigate fraction coefficient of sheet metal forming, we examined friction test about three conditions, such as non-lubrication, full lubrication and film lubrication. We measured friction coefficient according to pin load under the conditions like deep drawing die. Mean friction coefficient for film lubrication condition would be very useful value to improve drawability.

  • The interface heat transfer coefficient was measured for non-isothermal bulk forming of Ti-6Al-4V. FE analysis and experiments were conducted. Equipment consisting of AISI H13 die was instrumented with thermocouples located at sub-surface of the bottom die. Die temperature changes were investigated in related to the process variables such as reduction, lubricant and initial die temperature. The calibration approach based on heat conduction and FE analysis using an inverse algorithm were used to evaluate the interface heat transfer between graphite-lubricated die and glass-coated workpiece. The coefficients determined determined were affected mainly by the contact pressure. The validation of the coefficients was made by the comparison between experimental data and FE analysis results.
