공장 기계 소음 경감을 위한 효율적 차폐 방안 연구 (A Study on Effective Enclosing Method for Noise Reduction of Press Machine)

  • The purpose of this study is to obtain an effective enclosing method for noise reduction of press machine operating in a manufacturing company located in Taegu region. Noise level of the machine is about 95~120 ㏈ which is higher than legal standards by industrial safety and health law. In this study, two experiments were conducted to achieve the above purpose. In the first experiment in which the effects of three independent variables-type and depth of sound-absorbing materials, and depth of air space-on noise level was investigated, it was found that depth of sound-absorbing materials and air space was significant at $\alpha$ = -0.01. In the second experiment studying relationship between depth of sound-absorbing materials and air space and noise level, it was shown that noise level lowered as depth of sound-absorbing materials and air space became thick. Based on these results, two alternatives of enclosing method adequate for the selected company's noise characteristics were suggested.

헬멧형 뇌자도 장치로의 활용을 위한 Pb 초전도 차폐의 특성 (Characteristics of Superconductive Pb shield for a Whole Head MEG System)

  • We have investigated the characteristics of a superconductive Pb shield for hemispherical shape and plate to improving signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) of biomagnetism. We measured the shielding factor for the position of helmet shape Pb and for changing the distance from Pb surface. To make a uniform magnetic field, a $1.5m{\times}1.5m$ set of the helmholtz coils activated at several frequencies. The shielding factor of hemispherical shape Pb was from 20 to 57 dB and of Pb plate was about $6{\sim}26dB$ as a function of distance from the lead surface. The shielding factor was rapidly reduced as increasing the distance from Pb surface. The white noise of superconductive quantum interference device(SQUID) with a superconductive shield was about $12fT/Hz^{1/2}$ at 1 Hz, $7fT/Hz^{1/2}$ at 100 Hz. The white noise was more increased about two times than conventional SQUID system without Pb shielding. An auditory signal was measured by first order gradiometer and magnetometer with Pb superconductive shield and compared the SNR. The SQUID system with Pb shield had better performance at low frequency noise level.

저성능 자기차폐실에서 64채널 DROS 2차 미분계 시스템의 잡음 특성 (Noise Characteristics of 64-channel 2nd-order DROS Gradiometer System inside a Poorly Magnetically-shielded Room)

  • We have developed a second-order double relaxation oscillation SQUID(DROS) gradiometer with a baseline of 35 mm, and constructed a poorly magnetically-shielded room(MSR) with an aluminum layer and permalloy layers for magnetocardiography(MCG). The 2nd-order DROS gradiometer has a noise level of 20 $fT/{\surd}Hz$ at 1 Hz and 8 $fT/{\surd}Hz$ at 200 Hz inside the heavily-shielded MSR with a shielding factor of $10^3$ at 1 Hz and $10^4-10^5$ at 100 Hz. The poorly-shielded MSR, built of a 12-mm-thick aluminum layer and 4-6 permalloy layers of 0.35 mm thickness, is 2.4mx2.4mx2.4m in size, and has a shielding factor of 40 at 1 Hz, $10^4$ at 100 Hz. Our 64-channel second-order gradiometer MCG system consists of 64 2nd-order DROS gradiometers, flux-locked loop electronics, and analog signal processors. With the 2nd-order DROS gradiometers and flux-locked loop electronics installed inside the poorly-shielded MSR, and with the analog signal processor installed outside it, the noise level was measured to be 20 $fT/{\surd}Hz$ at 1 Hz and 8 $fT/{\surd}Hz$ at 200 Hz on the average even though the MSR door is open. This result leads to a low noise level, low enough to obtain a human MCG at the same level as that measured in the heavily-shielded MSR. However, filters or active shielding is needed fur clear MCG when there is large low-frequency noise from heavy air conditioning or large ac power consumption near the poorly-shielded MSR.

  • In this paper a common design method fur RF receivers of different CDMA standards is introduced. The method adopted a new equation, receiver noise equation, for the analysis of each standard. The test conditions for RF receivers in four different CDMA standards, CDMA cellular, PCS, WCDMA, and cdma2000 are analyzed based on the receiver noise equation. With the result of the analysis, the specifications fer RF receivers of different CDMA standards are derived.

  • 현재 항공기 민수인증분야에서 국제적으로 사용하고 있는 항공기 소음인증기준인 ICAO Annex 16 Vol. I에서는 항공기의 종류에 따라 A-Weighted SPL, EPNL, SEL 계산법을 사용하고 있다. 우리나라를 포함한 미국, 유럽도 이를 기반으로 항공기 소음인증기준을 개발하여 사용하고 있으며, KAS 36, CS 36, FAR 36 기준이 모두 동등하고 제한 값은 동일하다. 소형 항공기의 경우에는 이륙소음 한계만 규정하고 있으며, dB(A) 단위의 A-Weighted SPL 계산법을 사용하고 있다. 국내에서는 2012년 8월에 KC-100 항공기에 대하여 소음인증을 최초로 수행한 바 있으며, 당시 FAA와 함께 KAS 36과 FAR 36 해당 기준을 동시에 만족하는지 시험평가 되었다. 소음인증시험의 경우 시험조건과 처리방법이 까다로워 많은 경험과 배경지식이 필요하다. 이에 KC-100 인증비행시험을 기반으로 소형비행기의 소음인증 기준 분석과 시험조건 및 데이터 처리방법을 실 인증사례를 바탕으로 제시하고자 한다.

냉각탑의 방사소음특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Noise Characteristics of Cooling Tower)

  • In general, a cooling tower has two major noise sources, one is the fan and the other is the falling water. The fan noise is produced by passage of its blades through the air and radiates from the fan stack. Noises from the falling water are caused by splashing and dropping of water cascading over the internal filler of the cooling tower and into the basin and radiate from the louvered face. In this paper, the noise measurements and its frequency analysis are carried out for the locations facing the louvered side and near the fan stack referring the related code and standards in order to study the noise characteristics of the induced-draft cooling tower, especially for the buildings. As a result, it is found that for every doubling of distance from the noise source the noise level decreases by 2~4dBA in the near field with reflect surfaces and decreases by about 6dBA also in the far field without reflect surfaces. As a supplement to the noise measurements, a computer program with simple algorithm is developed in order to estimate the noise level at a distance from the cooling tower, so that the user could apply and modify it for the particular boundary conditions easily.

웨이브릿 변환을 기반으로 한 심자도 신호의 국소 적응잡음제거 (Local Adaptive Noise Cancellation for MCG Signals Based on Wavelet Transform)

  • Magneto-cardiogram(MCG) signals may be highly distorted by the environmental noise, such as power-line interference, broadband white noise, surrounding magnetic noise, and baseline wondering. Several kinds of digital filters and noise cancellation methods have been designed and realized by many researchers, but these methods gave some problems that the original signal may be distorted by digital filter due to the wideband characteristics of background noise. To eliminate noise effectively without distortion of MCG signals, we performed multi-level frequency decomposition using wavelet packets and local adaptive noise cancellation in each local frequency range. In addition to the proposed wavelet filter to eliminate these various non-stationary noise elements, the local adaptive filter using the least mean square(LMS) algorithm and the soft threshold do-noising method are introduced in this paper. The signal to noise ratio(SNR) and the reconstruction square error(RSE) are calculated to evaluate the performance of the proposed method and compared with the results of the conventional wavelet filter and adaptive filter. The experimental results show that the proposed local adaptive filtering method is better than the conventional methods.

  • Noise is one of the major environmental problems in human life. To reduce the noise emitted from the control valve it is necessary to develop the measurement method, measurement system, analysis method applicable to the field. In this study IEC and ISO standards were investigated and measurement method for the valve noise was proposed. Noise from the valve was measured in the reverberation room and sound power level was calculated. The sound power level increased as the flow rate and pressure difference increased. The noise characteristics are useful to predict valve noise for given conditions, to compare the performance of different valves and to develope low-noise valves.

Noise and Room Acoustic Conditions in a Tertiary Referral Hospital, Seoul National University Hospital

  • Background and Objectives: Noise levels and room acoustic parameters at a tertiary referral hospital, Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH) in Korea, are investigated. Materials and Methods: Through a questionnaire, acoustically problematic rooms are identified. Noise levels in emergency rooms (ERs) and intensive care units (ICUs) are measured over about three days. Acoustically critical and problematic rooms in the otolaryngology department are measured including examination rooms, operating rooms, nurse stations, receptions, and patient rooms. Results: The A-weighted equivalent noise level, LAeq, ranges from 54 to 56 dBA, which is at least 10 dB lower than the noise levels of 65 to 73 dBA measured in American ERs. In an ICU, the noise level for the first night was 66 dBA, which came down to 56 dBA for the next day. The noise levels during three different ear surgeries vary from 57 to 62 dBA, depending on the use of surgical drills and suctions. The noise levels in a patient room is found to be 47 dBA, while the nurse stations and the receptions have high noise levels up to 64 dBA. The reverberation times in an operation room, examination room, and single patient room are found to be below 0.6 s. Conclusions: At SNUH, the nurse stations and receptions were found to be quite noisy. The ERs were quieter than in the previous studies. The measured reverberation times seemed low enough but some other nurse stations and examination rooms were not satisfactory according to the questionnaire.
