간선도로 방음터널의 효과와 타당성 (Effectiveness and Validity of Noise Barrier Tunnels on Main Line Roads)

  • It seems inevitable for residential buildings to be high-rise and allocated near traffic roads due to the overcrowding in urban area. Acoustic environment in those residential buildings has been seriously deteriorated by the increase of traffic vehicles. Commonly used sound barriers have a limitation in controlling noise diffracted over the boundary of a sound barrier and hence are not effective to attenuate noise especially for the residential units in high level. The use of an enclosed noise barrier can be an alternative to supplement the defects of conventional noise barriers. The present work aims at providing useful data in designing enclosed noise barriers for residential areas adjacent to roads. Number of field measurements for various noise barriers and enclosed noise barriers were carried out and the results were discussed with relation to the proper design of enclosed noise barriers.

  • This paper investigates the insertion loss of nosie barrier with a interference device. The efficiency of the conventional interference-type noise barrier depends on specific frequency. Thus this study is performed to improve the efficiency of the nosie barrier in the range of broadband frequency, by changing the shape of interference device and adding the channel with various depths. The boundary element method (BEM) is used to predict the insertion loss of noise barrier. Two-dimensional boundary element model is created to simulate the performance of long barrier with a line source.

  • Numbers of people living in high rise apartments are growing due to the overcrowding in urban area. Acoustic environment in those residential buildings has been seriously deteriorated by the increase of wheeled transports. Commonly used sound barriers have a limitation in controlling noise influencing higher part of a residential building. The use of noise barrier tunnels can be an alternative to supplement the defects of conventional noise barriers. But intensive measurements on noise levels at apartments vicinity of current noise barrier tunnels show that the tunnel now has a limited advantage on reducing the noise levels from arterial roads. The present work aims at providing an useful design tool In designing noise barrier tunnels for residential areas adjacent to roads. Number of field measurements, scale model measurements, and computer simulations were performed to ensure whether the prediction from scale model and computer simulation are appropriate. Result shows that the predictions from scale models and computer simulations could be valid prediction tools for designing sound barrier tunnels.

  • Noise barrier is generally used with welding of joint rail for railway noise reduction in our country. But the noise barrier for high speed railway has weak point in low frequencies about 315Hz band. In this study, For developing of Interference-type Noise Reduction Device(INRD), acoustic analysis were performed using commercial software. For verifying the improvement in the noise reduction, noise measurement before and after installing of INRD were performed in Anechoic Chamber. From these acoustic analysis and noise measurement, it was known that developed INRD has a good noise reduction performance and can be used efficiently with conventional noise barrier.

  • The Objective of this research is to find the optimal design of the Noise Reduction Interference Model (NRIM) which is recently invented. Without optimization, the NRIM has been successful to reduce the urban noise induced by trains and automobiles. While it is used with the barrier on the road, there is a strong desire to reduce noise more. Yet the only remedy is to make the barrier higher with cost increase. Therefore, the optimal design is necessary to reduce noise while maintaining the barrier height. More efficient Genetic Algorithm is used to find the optimal shape of NRIM with the reduction of noise lever up to 15 dB. also BEM is used to verify the optimal design results.

소음지도 시뮬레이션을 이용한 도로교통소음 개선방안 연구 (A Road Traffic Noise Management Using a Noise Mapping Simulation)

  • 급속한 도시화와 인구밀도의 증가로 도시의 주거지역은 점점 고층화, 고밀화 되어가는 추세이다. 그로 인하여 인구의 공간적 집중으로 발생하는 교통수요를 감당하기 위하여 도시내부 도로는 점차 증가하였으며, 주거지역은 도로에 바로 인접하여 개발되고 있다. 이에 따라 도로에 연접한 주거지역의 도로교통소음 문제를 해결하기 위하여 방음벽에 의존하는 실정이었으나, 경관저해, 소음차단성능저해 등 다양한 역기능이 발생하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 방음벽의 역기능을 해소하고 바람직한 개선방안을 제시하기 위하여 도로변에 위치한 주거지역의 현장측정을 통하여 시뮬레이션의 정확도를 검증한 후 방음시설별 성능평가 및 전체 지역을 분석하였다. 그리고 개선방안으로 건축물의 배치형태 변화와 도로단으로부터의 이격거리를 20m 증가시켰다. 분석 결과 도로변과 평행한 공동주택의 피해가 가장 심각하였고, 시설별 분석에서는 방음벽의 성능이 우수하였으며, 건물 배치형태는 $30^{\circ}$ 배치가 우수하며, 이격거리가 증가함에 따라 교통소음이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다.

방음벽 안전을 위한 기준 조사 및 분석 (Investigation and Analysis of Regulations for the Safety of the Noise Barrier)

  • For the noise reduction measures in a construction field or near the traffic line receiver is often the most economic measure in order to exclude the propagated sound. The dimension of the barrier is decided by the noise and construction design, and the constructive quality of a soundproof panel shall be secured in accordance with KS F4770 to guarantee the safety of sound barriers. In this paper the problems included in the KS F4770-1 that is the regulation for the metallic sound barrier of the absorption type are identified and it is suggested what to be corrected or improved. Through a series of the analyses, conclusions were reached that it is required to improve test methods in KS F4770-1 as well as to break down test loads for building more cost-effective sound barrier.
