The distribution patterns of the benthic macrofauna of Han Estuary and Kyonggi Bay and the controlling environmental factors were studied at twenty-five stations in spring and fall of 1989. As a result, four biological groups were established as follows : Crassostrea gigas-Balanus reticulatus (Group I), Heteromastus filiformis-Mediomastus californiensis-Lumbrineris spp. -Sternaspis scutata-Tharyx sp. 1-Diopatra bilobata (Group II-A), Haustoriids-Phoxocephalids-Moerella rutila (Group II-B) and Nephtys chemulpoensis (Group II-C in March) and indistinctive group which was composed of common species (II-C in September). Results of the habitat analysis revealed that most of the dominant species showed narrow ranges of habitat niche in March and relatively wide ranges in September. Based on multiple discriminant analysis, the critical environmental factors governing their distributions are salinity in the regions of Yomha and Sokmo Channel in Han Estuary and sediment types in Kyonggi Bay. Also, sediment instability during the rainy season due to run-off was assumed to play a major role in the species composition of the benthic communities and their distribution in the study area.

According to the system dynamics model of this study, if there is a significant network effect on vehicle operating costs, it is difficult to achieve the shift to AFV even in the long term without a policy intervention because the car market is locked in to the current structure. Network effect can be caused by an increasing return to scale in fuel supply sector as well as in maintenance service sector. It is also related to the fact that the reliability and awareness of consumers on new products increases with the growth of the market share of the new products. There are several possible policy options to break the 'locked in' structure of car market, such as subsidy on vehicle price (capital cost), subsidy on fuel (operating cost) and niche management policy. Combined policy options would be more effective than relying on a single policy option to increase the market share of AFV.

Marketing decision support systems rely on an underlying enterprise information infrastructure. In traditional business situations, a limited number of product lines and markets divided into large chunks were adequately served by existing management information systems. With the advent of an increasingly segmented focus on niche markets and individual customers, the demand for market information has grown exponentially. The practical solutions offered by such data warehousing tools as OLAP and data mining directly address this need, allowing organizations to discover new niches. Marketing decision support systems built on these foundations provide organizations with new avenues for creating specifically targeted marketing strategies and promotional campaigns. The contribution of this article lies in introducing a graphical framework for data warehousing applications. Based on prior research, the framework links data warehousing and database marketing. To illustrate the effectiveness of this approach, three case examples of successful database marketing conclude the paper.

This study was executed to find out the succession stage and the ecological niche of Lindera erythrocarpa Markino. Four sites were selected by field investigation. They are Jeondungsa and Jeongsusa of Kanghwa Island, Mt. Suri of Anyang and Mt. Gaya of Chungcheongnamdo. They located in the region which have the similar temperature with Seoul region or lower average temperature for winter than that of adjacent Seoul. In the four sites, L, erythrocarpa was appeard in canopy layer at L. erythrocarpa community in Jeondungsa, L. erythrocarpa-Q. serrata, Z. serrata-L. erythrocarpa community in Jeongsusa, Castanea crenata-L, erythrocarpa community, L. erythrocarpa-Q. serrata community in Mt. Gaya and in the rest of the sites, it lives in subtree and shrub layer. And in the four sites but Jeongsusa area, it correspond with Chang(1991)'s study that L. erythrocarpa is dominant species in the site impacted by human. L. erythrocarpa lives with Quercus spp. such as Q. serrata, Q. variabilis, Q. mongolica and Carpinus laxiflora but it's presumably a passing phenomena.

The purpose of this study was to propose the community planting method through analyzing the plant community structure of three green space types and the relationship of vegetation and wild bird inhabitation of urban environmental forest in Seoul, Korea. The results from this study showed that the vegetation stratification, coverage, and species diversity were closely related to the wild bird inhabitation. In addition, the environmental forest in study site was analyzed as a negative factor that may decrease the biodiversity. Therefore the ecological structure and environmental condition must be considered in order to improve the quality of environmental forest. Based on results in three green space types, the planting species, density and species size for proper community planting were proposed in this study. The ecological niche relationships among sixteen selected species were also presented. The results will be provided as an valueable output for the completed community planting of urban green space in the central region, Korea.

If we believe in the optimism and the hope of human history of technological progress, the hydrogen economy will be a new paradigm to replace the carbon economy. The research question is what kind of leadership the government should show in order to revitalize the hydrogen economy. In response to the research question, this study highlights the governance leadership. The new economy must be newly recognized before they can find a solution. This research can be the first step in finding the way.

This study investigates market barriers in increasing the market share of Alternative Fuel Vehicles (AFVs). In particular, this study first conceptualizes the AFVs market model with the aid of generic system archetypes suggested by Wolstenholme. Among four generic system archetypes suggested by Wolstenholme, the market structure of AFVs can be explained by the 'relative achievement' archetype. Starting from the generic system archetype, this study extends the model boundary step by step to take account of various model assumptions necessary to simulate the model numerically. This paper reviews the flight mechanics and control of birds and bird-size aircraft. It is intended to fill a niche in the current survey literature which focuses primarily on the aerodynamics, flight dynamics and control of insect scale flight. We review the flight mechanics from first principles and summarize some recent results on the stability and control of birds and bird-scale aircraft. Birds spend a considerable portion of their flight in the gliding (i.e., non-flapping) phase. Therefore, we also review the stability and control of gliding flight, and particularly those aspects which are derived from the unique control features of birds.

Electronic commerce over the Internet is predicted to grow at an ever-increasing rate over the next few years, with on-line sales already heading for several billion. Enriching anammox bacteria (AMX) in a lab-scale granular sequencing batch reactor using local digester centrate, we observed the significant enrichment of the filamentous-like bacterial population. These bacteria were revealed as novel bacterial species (termed CHL) belonging to Chlorobi/Bacteroidetes phyla via Denaturing Gradient Gel Electrophoresis (DGGE). Further, niche differentiation of AMX and CHL quantification was observed in granule and filament biomass, suggesting AMX was dominant in the granule and CHL was dominant in the filament. Therefore, it was confirmed the structural role of CHL was indeed to aid the granule formation of the AMX. In parallel, the physiological role of CHL was suspected to degrade biopolymers in the digester centrate using nitrate as an electron acceptor.
