NiCuZn 계 페라이트의 조성에 따른 복소투자율 변화 해석 (Complex Permeability Analysis of NiCuZn Ferrites)

  • 본 연구에서는 ${(Ni_{x}Cu_{0.2}Zn_{0.8-x}O)}_{1-w}{(Fe_{2}O_{3})}_{1+w}$의 Ni 함량(x)과 $Co_{3}O_{4}$ 첨가량에 따른 복소투자율 변화에 관하여 검토하였다. Ni 함량 x=0.6 이상에서는 매우 좁은 투자율 허수항($\mu$") 피이크가 형성됨으로서 다른 조성에 비해 손실이 적음을 알 수 있었고 공명주파수($f_{\mu"max}$)는 Ni 함량의 변화와 비례하여 현저하게 증가하였다. $Fe_{2}O_{3}$ 결핍량(w)이 많을 수록 $\mu$" 값은 낮았으나, $Fe_{2}O_{3}$ 결핍량(w)의 변화가 공명주파수에는 큰 영향을 미치지 않는 경향을 나타내었다. NiCuZn 페라이트 조성에 대하여 $Co_{3}O_{4}$를 첨가한 경우는 첨가량이 많아짐에 따라 초기투자율이 감소하여 $f_{\mu"max}$ 값은 증가하였으나, 전체적인 손실의 정도를 제어하는데에는 Ni 함량을 변화시키는 것이 더 효과적임을 알 수 있었다.

Reaction Kinetics with Hydrogen and Temperature Dependence of the Hydriding Rate for a Magnesium-Based Nickel Iron Oxide Alloy

  • A 71.5 wt%Mg-23.5 wt%Ni-5 wt%$Fe_2O_3$ (Mg-23.5Ni-$5Fe_2O_3$) sample was prepared by a quite simple process, reactive mechanical grinding, and its hydriding and dehydriding properties were then investigated. The reactive mechanical grinding of Mg with Ni and $Fe_2O_3$ is considered to facilitate nucleation and shorten the diffusion distances of the hydrogen atoms. After the hydriding-dehydriding cycling, the Mg-23.5Ni-$5Fe_2O_3$ sample contained $Mg_2Ni$ phase. Expansion and contraction of the hydride-forming materials (Mg and $Mg_2Ni$) with the hydriding and dehydriding reactions are also considered to increase the hydriding and dehydriding rates of the mixture by forming defects and cracks leading to the fragmentation of the particles. The temperature dependence of the hydriding rate of the sample is discussed.

각종 첨가제가 다공성 Aluminum Titanate Ceramics의 미세구조 및 기계적 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Additives on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties in Porous Aluminum Titanate Ceramics)

  • This experiments were focused on a modification of mechamical properties and structure in porous aluminum titanate ceramics by new additives which have been not researched yet. These were consisted of four kinds of additives i.e. Bi2O3, FeO, ZnO and NiO by addition amount of 1 wt% and 5 wt% respectively. The addition of Bi2O3 retarded a degree of syntehsis of aluminum titanate and accelerated in FeO, ZnO, NiO additives. Also, the most effective accelerator in synthesis of alunium titanate was FeO. A additives for the most effective of modification of microstructure, sharp distribtion of pore size and mechanical proterties was on ZnO addition and showed the lowest average pore size and narrowed pore size distribution. In order to improve of microstructure and pore size distribution in porous aluminum titanate ceramics was desired the addition amount of 1 wt% compare to 5 wt%.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the possibility whether Metal Injection Molding (MIM) process could be applied to 95wt.%W-3.5wt.%Ni-1.5wt.%Fe heavy alloy in order to obtain an intricate shape. Methylcellulose was used in the injection molding for binder. $FeCl_2-4H_2O$ was added in solvent substituting Fe powder and $FeCl_2$ was doped on W-Ni premixed powder. When $FeCl_2-4H_2O$ was added in solvent, the binder separation occurred for injection molding so that the matrix content was changed. Such problem was solved when $FeCl_2$ was doped. In this study. the debinding process did not affect residual carbon content. The sintered microsouctures as addition methods of Fe element and the sintering temperature from $1420^{\circ}C$ to $1470^{\circ}C$, which are around the temperature of liquid phase formation, were observed.

Fe-2%Ni 합금의 고온 산화 (High-temperature Oxidation of Fe-2%Ni Alloys)

  • Fe-2 wt.%Ni alloys were fabricated by metal powder injection molding, and their oxidation behavior at $600-700^{\circ}C$ for 30 h in air was studied in order to find the effect of the small addition of Ni in the iron matrix on the high-temperature oxidation. Oxide scales that formed after oxidation consisted primarily of $Fe_2O_3$, where microscopic voids were scattered. Nickel was segregated initially at the scale/matrix interface, and later at the lower part of the $Fe_2O_3$ scale. At $600^{\circ}C$, Fe-2wt.%Ni alloys oxidized parabolically initially, and linearly after 15 h. At $650-700^{\circ}C$, they oxidized linearly from the initial period. Although Fe-2wt.%Ni alloys oxidized slower than pure iron, their oxidation rates were relatively fast.

초음파 습식 자기분류법을 이용한 MgxNiyZn1-x-yFe2O4 나노입자 제조 (Preparation of Nano-sized MgxNiyZn1-x-yFe2O4 by Ultrasonic Wet-Magnetic Separation Method)

  • $Mg_xNi_yZn_{1-x-y}Fe_2O_4$ ferrite powders were prepared by self-propagating high temperature synthesis followed by classifying with an ultrasonic wet-magnetic separation unit to get high pure nano-sized particles. The $Mg_xNi_yZn_{1-x-y}Fe_2O_4$ ferrites were well formed by using several powders like iron, nickel oxide, zinc oxide and magnesium oxide at 0.1 MPa of oxygen pressure. The ultrasonic wet-magnetic separation of pre-mechanical milled ferrite powders resulted in producing the powders with average size of 800 nm. The addition of a surfactant during the wet-magnetic separation process improved productivity more than twice. The coercive force, maximum magnetization and residual magnetization of the $Mg_xNi_yZn_{1-x-y}Fe_2O_4$ nano-powders with 800 nm size were 3651 A/m, $53.92Am^2/kg$ and $4.0Am^2/kg$, respectively.

  • Ni(Fe)Al powders containing a homogeneous distribution of the in-situ formed AIN and $Al_2O_3$ dispersoids have been produced by mechanical alloying process in a controlled atmosphere using high energy attrition mill. The powders have been successfully consolidated by hot extrusion process. The phase information investigated by TEM and XRD analysis reveals that Fe can be soluble up to 20% to the NiAl phase ($\beta$) at room temperature after MA process. Subsequent thermomechanical treatment under specific condition has been tried to induce secondary recrystallization (SRx) to improve high temperature properties, however, the clear evidence of SRx was not obtained in this material. Mechanical properties in term of strength at room temperature as well as at high temperatures have been improved by the addition pf AIN, and the room temperature ductility has been shown to be improved after heat treatment, presumably due to the precipitation of second phase of $\alpha$ in this material.

  • Samples of pure Mg, 76.5 wt%Mg-23.5 wt%Ni, and 71.5 wt%Mg-23.5 wt%Ni-5 wt%$Fe_2O_3$ were prepared by reactive mechanical grinding and their hydriding and dehydriding properties were then investigated. Expansion and contraction of the hydride-forming materials (Mg and $Mg_2Ni$) with the hydriding and dehydriding reactions are also considered to increase the hydriding and dehydriding rates of the mixture by forming defects and cracks leading to the fragmentation of particles. The reactive mechanical grinding of Mg-Ni alloy with $Fe_2O_3$ is considered to decrease the particle size.

The addition of a surfactant during the separation process improved productivity more than twice. The coercive force, maximum magnetization and residual magnetization of the $Mg_xNi_yZn_{1-x-y}Fe_2O_4$ nano-powders with 810 nm size were 45.89 Oe, 53.92 emu/gOe, 0.4 emu/Oe, respectively.
