This study aims to suggest an effective method for the automatic classification of keywords with similar patterns by calculating pattern similarity of temporal data. For this, large scale news on the Web were collected and time series data composed of 120 time segments were built. To make training data set for the performance test of the proposed model, 440 representative keywords were manually classified according to 8 types of trend. This study introduces a Dynamic Time Warping(DTW) method which have been commonly used in the field of time series analytics, and proposes an application model, MA-DTW based on a Moving Average(MA) method which gives a good explanation on a tendency of trend curve. As a result of the automatic classification by a k-Nearest Neighbor(kNN) algorithm, Euclidean Distance(ED) and DTW showed 48.2% and 66.6% of maximum micro-averaged F1 score respectively, whereas the proposed model represented 74.3% of the best micro-averaged F1 score. In all respect of the comprehensive experiments, the suggested model outperformed the methods of ED and DTW.

The purpose of this study was to understand changes of the current young generation's lifestyle, aesthetic attitude for an appearance, and way of thinking by making a close investigation into metrosexual, the recent mode, and find out its cultural and social implications. As a method of the study, the literature and the Internet data were reviewed. Articles from newspapers, magazines and the Internet were chosen roughly from the year 2000 to now because metrosexual mode remarkably boomed before and after 2000. Books related to the theory on the mode in a costume culture were referred. Also, articles in daily newspapers which dealt with cultural and social issues were reviewed, fashion magazines for men such as Esquire and GQ showing the new trend in men's lifestyle and fashion were examined, and the Internet providing us the latest news from cultural and social topics to fashion trends were investigated. The backgrounds of the rise of metrosexual mode were a collapse of stereotypes in various fields, spread of lookism in a visual image period, extension of commercialism, and expansion of men's character casual trend. Metrosexual was defined as an urban male with a strong aesthetic sense who spends a great deal of time and money on his appearance and lifestyle. His fashion style was characterized by slim and flowing silhouette, feminine and luxurious materials such as transparent chiffon, silk and cotton with a light and soft touch, and a knitted wear with a flowing line, a wide variety of vivid and pastel colors, floral and geometric patterns, and the decorative details like lace, beads, embroidery, and fur. From spread of this mode, two cultural and social implications were extracted. Firstly, the current young generation's aesthetic standards for the perfect man changed from macho man to considerate man who had a good appearance and this suggested that a conventional sex role broke down. Secondly, men began to explore for their own identity escaping from traditionally standardized masculinity that they had been forced to follow.

To respond the climate change and environmental pollution, the studies on renewable energy policies are increasing. The renewable energy is a new growth engine technology represented by the green industry and green technology. At present, the investments for the renewable energy supply and technology development projects of three main strategy sectors such as sunlight, wind power and hydrogen fuel cell are implemented in our country, while they are still in the early stage, accordingly reducing those uncertainty for the research direction and investment fields is the most urgent issue among others. Thus, this study applied text mining method and multinominal topic model among the big data analysis methods on our country's newspaper articles concerning the renewable energy over the last 10 years, and then analyzed the core issues and global research trend, forecasting the renewable energy fields with the growth potential. It is predicted that these results of the study based on information and communication technology will be actively applied on the renewable energy fields.

The objective of this study is to present the academic implications and developmental direction of the police assigned for special guard system through big data analysis on the objective and macroscopic viewpoint of the media. As research method, this study conducted the analysis on 'police assigned for special guard' and the analysis of related words that would visualize the keywords highly related to keyword trend and news. Also, after dividing the period into the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s, the number of relevant articles in each period was drawn for understanding the flow. In the results of this study, the perception of media report of police assigned for special guard was about the recruitment of police assigned for special guard, and relevant events/accidents, which showed the coexistence of positive interest in the recruitment of police assigned for special guard and negative image of events/accidents related to police assigned for special guard. As a result, however, the necessity and demand for police assigned for special guard are increasing. Thus, the police assigned for special guard should be engaged in work after carefully thinking of its role in charge of ethical responsibility and safety as an axis for maintaining the national safety and social order.

This study was conducted to explore the change in the market issues on HMR (Home Meal Replacements) using local foods after the COVID-19 outbreak. Online text data were collected from internet news, social media posts, and web documents before (from January 2016 to December 2019) and after (from January 2020 to November 2022) the COVID-19 outbreak. TF-IDF analysis showed that 'Trend', 'Market', 'Consumption', and 'Food service industry' were the major keywords before the COVID-19 outbreak, whereas 'Wanju-gun', 'Distribution', 'Development', and 'Meal-kit' were main keywords after the COVID-19 outbreak. The results of topic modeling analysis and categorization showed that after the COVID-19 outbreak, the 'Market' category included 'Non-face-to-face market' instead of 'Event,' and 'Delivery' instead of 'Distribution'. In the 'Product' category, 'Marketing' was included instead of 'Trend'. Additionally, in the 'Support' category, 'Start-up' and 'School food service' appeared as new topics after the COVID-19 outbreak. In conclusion, this study showed that meaningful change had occurred in market issues on HMR using local foods after the COVID-19 outbreak. Therefore, governments should take advantage of such market opportunity by implementing policy and programs to promote the development and marketing of HMR using local foods.

This study aims to examine the trend and characteristics of newspaper articles concerned with fine particle matter. Newspaper articles since 1995 collected from Bigkinds were analyzed using text mining techniques, sentiment analysis and regression analysis. Air pollution measurement and domestic pollutants appeared frequently previously, but "China" became the keyword in the 2010s along with political action, the effects on the health, AD/PR, and domestic pollutants. Korea JoongAng Daily, Hankyoreh and Kyunghyang Shinmun have had more focused on political regulations whereas most regional daily newspapers on emission sources and reduction measures at the regional level. The results of this study are expected to be used as a reference for understanding the trend of newspaper articles. Future work includes further analysis and discussion of fine particle pollution condition and news reports in the post-COVID era.

In line with the low growth trend of the global economy, shipping companies and port companies are experiencing various management difficulties. However, at this time when the growth trend is stagnating, attempts to solve the breakthrough in growth with the technology of the 4th industrial revolution are occurring in various industries and technologies. In this study, in order to facilitate the construction of smart ports in the future, we will look at the current port system in Korea, and in the sense of the need for a basic study to diagnose the direction for more smooth policy introduction and technology introduction, Related exploratory studies were conducted. To achieve the purpose of this study, various previous studies were reviewed, news articles related to ports, reports of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, and foreign literature were reviewed in a variety of ways, and based on this, we intend to present smart port introduction tasks and improvement plans.

Recently, there has been a surge of interest in finding core issues and analyzing emerging trends for the future. This represents efforts to devise national strategies and policies based on the selection of promising areas that can create economic and social added value. The existing studies, including those dedicated to the discovery of future promising fields, have mostly been dependent on qualitative research methods such as literature review and expert judgement. Deriving results from large amounts of information under this approach is both costly and time consuming. Efforts have been made to make up for the weaknesses of the conventional qualitative analysis approach designed to select key promising areas through discovery of future core issues and emerging trend analysis in various areas of academic research. There needs to be a paradigm shift in toward implementing qualitative research methods along with quantitative research methods like text mining in a mutually complementary manner. The change is to ensure objective and practical emerging trend analysis results based on large amounts of data. However, even such studies have had shortcoming related to their dependence on simple keywords for analysis, which makes it difficult to derive meaning from data. Besides, no study has been carried out so far to develop core issues and analyze emerging trends in special domains like the aviation industry. The change used to implement recent studies is being witnessed in various areas such as the steel industry, the information and communications technology industry, the construction industry in architectural engineering and so on. This study focused on retrieving aviation-related core issues and emerging trends from overall research papers pertaining to aviation through text mining, which is one of the big data analysis techniques. In this manner, the promising future areas for the air transport industry are selected based on objective data from aviation-related research papers. In order to compensate for the difficulties in grasping the meaning of single words in emerging trend analysis at keyword levels, this study will adopt topic analysis, which is a technique used to find out general themes latent in text document sets. The analysis will lead to the extraction of topics, which represent keyword sets, thereby discovering core issues and conducting emerging trend analysis. Based on the issues, it identified aviation-related research trends and selected the promising areas for the future. Research on core issue retrieval and emerging trend analysis for the aviation industry based on big data analysis is still in its incipient stages. So, the analysis targets for this study are restricted to data from aviation-related research papers. However, it has significance in that it prepared a quantitative analysis model for continuously monitoring the derived core issues and presenting directions regarding the areas with good prospects for the future. In the future, the scope is slated to expand to cover relevant domestic or international news articles and bidding information as well, thus increasing the reliability of analysis results. On the basis of the topic analysis results, core issues for the aviation industry will be determined. Then, emerging trend analysis for the issues will be implemented by year in order to identify the changes they undergo in time series. Through these procedures, this study aims to prepare a system for developing key promising areas for the future aviation industry as well as for ensuring rapid response. Additionally, the promising areas selected based on the aforementioned results and the analysis of pertinent policy research reports will be compared with the areas in which the actual government investments are made. The results from this comparative analysis are expected to make useful reference materials for future policy development and budget establishment.

COVID-19, which started in December 2019, has had a great impact on our lives in general, including politics, economy, society, and culture, and activities in sports and arts have also been significantly reduced. In the case of sports, sports for all fields in which ordinary citizens participate were particularly affected, and cases of infection in places closely related to people's lives, such as gyms, table tennis, and badminton clubs, also amplified the social fear of the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, in this study, we analyzed news articles related to sports for all at the time when COVID-19 was first spread, and investigated what issues were emerging and being discussed in the sports for all field under the COVID-19 situation. Specifically, we collected news articles dealt with sports for all issues under the COVID-19 situation from Korea's leading portal news sites and identified key sports for all issues by performing topic modeling on these articles. Through the analysis, we found meaningful issues such as COVID-19 outbreak in sports facilities and support for sports activities. In addition, through wordcloud analysis of these major issues, we visually understood the issues and identified the changes in these issues over time.

As digital communication gains prominence, there is an increasing trend in uncivil behaviors like rude or hateful comments and the empathetic actions towards them, highlighting the need for social efforts to address these issues. As part of these endeavors, we investigated how avatar feedback in a virtual news portal affects users' empathy towards uncivil comments. We defined both posting and empathizing with uncivil comments as antisocial actions. To this end, we posted socially controversial news in a virtual space and provided feedback in two forms when participants selected uncivil comments: text-only feedback and feedback accompanied by an avatar. We then assessed the impact of this feedback on behavioral conformity, guilt, and self-image concern through surveys. Our results showed that avatar-provided feedback significantly influenced participants' social responses more than text-based feedback. Interaction with avatars notably increased participants' behavioral conformity, guilt, and self-image concern. We concluded that avatar-based interactions can positively influence users' social behaviors and attitudes, suggesting their potential in fostering a more civil and responsible digital communication culture.
