Critical Discourse of Postmodern Aesthetics in Contemporary Furniture (II) - The Characteristics of New Design Furniture in terms of the Postmodern Aesthetics of Communication

  • This study explored the characteristics of contemporary furniture called New Design furniture design in terms of aesthetics of communication in the postmodern era. Qualitative conceptural analysis as the principal methodology was used to explore the characteristics of New Design furniture, which is accessible to the broadest possible public. Thereby, the communicative elements of symbol, metaphor, narrative, animation, imagination, humor, and/or wit expressed in New Design furniture were analyzed according to the designers'concept and work. As a result the postmodern aesthetics of communication made New Design furniture accessible to the largest number of People through cultural considerations in New Design furniture as it influences designers 'concept and work. However, it showed problems of New Design furniture in connection with postmodern aesthetics affecting mass production. Therefore, the designers have begun rethinking, redefining, and redesigning their furniture aesthetically, functionally, economically, and ecologically.

인삼의 신아 및 잠아발생의 조직 형태적 특성 (Histological and Morphological Characteristics of New and Latent Bud Formation in Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer)

  • This experiment was conducted to obtain the basic information on new- and latent-bud formation, and stem vestige arrangement on the rhizome of Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer. Latent buds emerged from meristematic region between shoot and root of the embryo, and new buds for the next year were distributed both at the bottom portion of the stem and the rhizome. In the new buds, organs such as leaf, stem, and flower bud were already completely differentiated, while the latent bud had an undifferentiated meristematic tissue arranged linearly in a vertical line, indicating that each year new- and latent-buds are formed successively. This result suggests that the number of stem vestige may be used for the determination of ginseng age. 낙하해석을 통한 보드 레벨 플립칩에서의 솔더볼 충격수명에 관한 연구 (Prediction of Impact Life Time in Solder Balls of the Board Level Flip Chips by Drop Simulations)

  • Recently much research are has been done into the compositions of lead-free solders. As a result, there has been a rapid increase in the number of new compositions. In the past, the properties of these new compositions were determined and verified through drop-impact tests. However, these drop tests were expensive and it took a long time to obtain a result. The main goal of this study was to establish an analytical method capable of predicting the impact life-time of a new solder composition for board-level flip chips though the application of drop simulations using LS-DYNA. Based on the reaction load obtain with LS-DYNA, the drop-impact fracture cycles were predicted. The study was performed using a Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu solder (305 composition). To verify the reliability of the proposed analytical method, the results of the drop-impact tests and life-time analysis were compared, and were found to be in good agreement. Thus, the new analytical method was shown to be very useful and effective.

  • 국내 무선 네트워크 환경은 사용자의 서비스 요구 수용과 시장 성장으로 인해 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 이에 따라 무선 구간에서 TCP(transmission control protocol)를 이용한 신뢰성 있는 데이터 전송도 늘어날 전망이다. TCP는 유선 네트워크에서 사용함을 가정으로 만들어졌기 때문에 무선에서 발생할 수 있는 비 혼잡 손실에 의해 많은 성능 저하를 겪을 수 있다. 특히 RTO(retransmission timeout)은 TCP의 성능에 많은 영향을 미친다. 본 논문에서는 송신단에서 fast recovery과정 중에 발생한 패킷 손실을 빠르게 감지하여 RTO없이 복구함으로써 성능저하를 줄일 수 있는 DAC$^{+}$(Duplicate Acknowledgement Counting)와 EFR(Extended Fast Recovery)을 제안한다. 제안 알고리듬을 TCP NewReno와 비교했을 때 정상 상태에서 fast recovery 확률이 높고, 이에 따른 RTO 감소로 인해 response time이 줄어드는 것을 확인할 수 있다.

비만체형을 위한 바지원형 연구 -학령기 남아를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Pants Pattern For the Fatty Body -The Subject of Elementary Schoolboys)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the pattern drafting method which would be suitable for their physical characteristics for the fatty body of Korean elementary school boys who re more than 1.5 Rhrer's Index. The procedures of the study were as follows : We have surveyed the rate of fatty children who were more than 1.5 Rhrer's Index on 2, 185's and elementary school children. The result of research showed the rate of fatty boys in 9-11 years-old were the highest one. Therefore, body measurement and statistical analysis. 203's boys between the ages of 9-11 and over 1.5Rhrer's Index were measured on 25 items. Descriptives, correlation and factor analysis were computed. Fatty boys higher than standard boys, and bigger than grith and width items. 4 type of conventional pants pattern were collected . The most accepted conventional pants pattern was decided through wearing test. The new pattern was based on the most accepted conventional pattern, and developed through wearing test. After new pattern drafting , the sensory evaluation for appearance and comfort was applied to evaluate the new pattern by comparing it with the conventional pattern. The result of sensory evaluation , it was found that the new pattern was more suitable then the conventional pattern.

수치정사사진을 이용한 지적불부합지 조사 방법의 개선 (An Improvement of Cadastral Non-coincidence Surveying Method using Digital Orthophoto)

  • 본 연구에서는 기존 수치정사사진을 이용한 지적불부합지 조사에 있어 육안판독 수준의 문제를 개선하고자 기존 조사 방법보다 신속하고 객관적으로 불부합지를 조사할 수 있는 새로운 방법론을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 적용 가능한 방법론을 탐색하고 적용 방법을 정립하였다. 이렇게 정립된 방법론을 이용하여 프로토타입 시스템을 구현하였다. 그리고 실제 실험지역 적용을 통하여 방법론의 적용 가능성을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구 성과로는 기존 조사 방법보다 객관적이고 효율적으로 조사할 수 있는 point-correspondence 기반의 불부합지 조사 방법을 제시하였다. 정확도 측면의 타당성을 제시하고자 동일한 지역을 대상으로 기존 조사 기법과 비교한 결과 정확도 면에서 많은 차이를 보이지 않아 방법론의 적용 가능성을 제시할 수 있었다.

하수관거 I/I(침입수/유입수) 분석방법에 따른 산정 결과 비교 -기존 보정방법과 환경부 표준 매뉴얼에 의한 방법- (Analysis on the result of I/I calculation by the exiting method and the standardized maual method)

  • The purpose of sewer system is to separate rain water from sewage water. Through this, it is possible to prevent the flood and preserve public water territory. For the past few years, many problems of the sewer system have been solved by the execution of sewer rehabilitation project. However, they still exist in sewer system caused by I/I, which are divided into infiltration and inflow. Infiltration means the rain water and underground water that infiltrate through breakage point on pipes, inflow means the water that flows in through misconnection on pipes. This study shows how the I/I calculation has changed according to the new standardized manual and identifies the I/I difference between the new calculation and the existing one. Through the analysis on the two calculation methods we examined the appropriacy of the new method by comparing it to the old one. The result points out that the new standardized manual is more appropriate than the old in aspect of objectivity and reproducibility(establish standardization), rationality(alteration of inflow unit).

신세대 여성의 진바지 착용태도와 정보원 활용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Use of Information Sources and the New Generation Women's Jeans Wearing Attitude)

  • This dissertation was aimed to analyze correlation between jeans wearing attitude and the use of information sources which influnece the new generation consumers' marketing strategies of jeans industry. Subjects were 443 new generation women living in Seoul. Data were obtained by self administered qestionaire and analyzed by SPSS package. The main findings of this research are as follows : 1. A result of factor-analysis of the new generation consumers' jeans wearing attitudes variables were typed 5 factors of practicality pursuit, fashion pursuit, sexual attraction pursuit, individuality pursuit and famous brand pursuit. 2. A result of factor-analysis of the use of information sources variables were classified 4 factors of marketer-dominted sources, neutral sources, consumer.dominated sources and personal sources. 3. In anlysis between jeans wearing attitudes and demographic characteristics, fashion pursuit, individuality pursuit and sexual attraction pursuit showed significant difference partially 4. In analysis between the use of information sources and demographic characteristics, marketer-dominated, neutral and personal sources showed significant difference partially. 5. In correlation and regression between jeans wearing attitude and the use of information sources, there were high relations partially and fashion pursuit variable of jeans wearing attitude was the most influential.

실물옵션 기법을 응용한 부동산 가치평가 연구: 인구구조 변화를 고려하여 (A Study on the Valuation of Real Estate Using the Applies Real Option Model Considering Population Structure Changes)

  • This study presents a new real estate value analysis model considering the changes in the population structure. We propose a new model that takes advantage of the binomial option model one of the techniques of real options and considers the changes in the population structure. The real estate market price data of Seoul city from year 2001 to 2012 were extracted and the correlation analysis between real estate prices and changes in the population structure was performed. The result shows that they have positive correlation with one year time lag. The coefficient between the real estate prices and demographic changes was estimated using the OLS analysis and included in the traditional binomial option model to calculate the value of the property. It is assumed for the future price prediction that real estate invested in Seoul in January, 2013 will be sold within five years. Analysis result shows that the values of real estate in September of 2013 were predicted as 583.5 million won in the new model and as 582.4 million won in the traditional model. This reflects that the new model considering the change of population change gives better realistic performance than the traditional one.

A New Resonance Prediction Method of Fabry-Perot Cavity (FPC) Antennas Enclosed with Metallic Side Walls

  • We have proposed a new method to accurately predict the resonance of Fabry-Perot Cavity (FPC) antennas enclosed with conducting side walls. When lateral directions of an FPC antenna are not blocked with metallic walls, the conventional technique is accurate enough to predict the resonance of the FPC antenna. However, when the FPC antenna has side walls, especially for case with only a short distance between the walls, the conventional prediction method yields an inaccurate result, inevitably requiring a tedious, time-consuming tuning process to determine the correct resonant height to provide the maximum antenna gain in a target frequency band using three-dimensional full-wave computer simulations. To solve that problem, we have proposed a new resonance prediction method to provide a more accurate resonant height calculation of FPC antennas by using the well-known resonance behavior of a rectangular resonant cavity. For a more physically insightful explanation of the new prediction formula, we have reinvestigated our proposal using a wave propagation characteristic in a hollow rectangular waveguide, which clearly confirms our approach. By applying the proposed technique to an FPC antenna covered with a partially reflecting superstrate consisting of continuously tapered meander loops, we have proved that our method is very accurate and readily applicable to various types of FPC antennas with lateral walls. Experimental result confirms the validness of our approach.
