  • 본 논문에서는 3레벨 NPC(Neutral Point Clamped)와 Active NPC 인버터의 스위치 손실 분배 기법에 따른 출력전력 분석을 하였다. 기존 3레벨 NPC 인버터의 경우 특정 불균형한 스위치 발열 때문에 전력밀도를 높이 설계할 수 없다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 ANPC inverter의 손실 분배기법을 적용하여 시뮬레이션으로 검증하였다.

  • Ankle arthrodesis has been considered to be the standard operative treatment for end-stage ankle arthritis, nevertheless currently increasing arthroplasty. Indication for arthrodesis is painful ankle from global arthrosis regardless of the etiology. But it is hard to be carried out in the several circumstance such as infection states, poor vascularity, severe diabetes, prematurity, etc. So thorough evaluation should be done before the surgery, including adjacent joints status. The ideal position for fusion is neutral in flexion, functional valgus, and slightly external rotation. Methods of arthrodesis would be largely divided into two categories as in situ fixation and realignment procedure. The lateral and anterior longitudinal approaches are two common procedures, and fixation modalities are also variable. The long-term results of arthrodesis have been reported. Even the close follow-up have shown subsequent degeneration of adjacent joints, benefits such as reliable pain loss, easy correctability for deformity, and improved functional status with considerable durability can be expected in the most patients.

  • In this paper, a new simplified configuration for a multi-level PWM inverter is proposed. The proposed inverter consists of an auxiliary circuit with one switching device, and 3 phase full-bridge inverter. The proposed inverter, in spite of reduction of the switching devices, offers characteristics similar to the NPC(Neutral - point - clamped)- PWM inverter. Also, since the reduction of the switching devices, the control strategy is simplified. And switching loss is reduced. In addition to, it is possible that reliable DC level voltage than former multi-level inverter. And load power application is same to conventional NPC-PWM inverter. The performance of the system is verified by simulation. In this paper, show the simulation result of the single phase full bridge inverter application.

  • 본 논문에서는 3-레벨의 NPC(Neutral Point Clamped) VSC와 T-type VSC를 시뮬레이션용 열 모델링 기법을 이용하여 스위칭과 도통 손실을 비교 분석하였다. 두 가지 토폴로지의 인버터동작과 회생동작에서의 주파수에 따른 효율을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 고찰 하였다.

  • Silicon nitride thin(SiNx) is deposited onto 3 inch silicon wafor using ECR plasma apparatus. For the two different plasma extraction windows size, the thin films which were deposited by changing the SiH4/N2 gas fole at at 1.5mTorr without substrate heating are analyzed through the XPS and wlliposometer measurements. The very uniform and good quality silicon nitride thin film were obtained with the analyzed results of the deposited films, and particularly, ion temperature perpendicular to the magnetic filed was nearly same as the neutral gas temperature. The large amount of plasma loss in the transport process following magnetic field lines could be seen from the plasma emission intensity measurements.

A Study on Lightning Overvoltage Characteristics of Grounding Systems in Underground Distribution Power Cables

  • This paper investigates the transient characteristics of grounding systems used in under-ground distribution power cables. Recently, two kinds of grounding system are used for underground distribution cables in Korea. The first one is conventional multi-point grounding system, the other is newly proposed non-bundled common grounding system. The non-bundled common grounding system has an advantage the decreasing the power loss due to decrease of the shield circulation current. In this paper, the lightning overvoltage induced in neutral wire (in case of non-bundled common grounding system, overvoltage between opened neural wires and grounding in each phase) of these two kinds of grounding systems are estimated and compared by field tests and EMTP simulations. The EMTP simulation methods are firstly verified by comparison of measurement and simulation. Finally, the insulation level against lightning is expected by EMTP simulation results using verified model.

  • This paper proposes a Direct Power Control (DPC) scheme of improved command tracking capability for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) Medium Voltage (MV) Wind Turbines. Benchmarking is performed based on a neutral point clamped three-level back-to-back type voltage source converter. It is introduced to design the DPC modeling and propose DPC scheme of a three-level NPC (3L-NPC) converter. During the fault condition in wind farms, the proposed control scheme directly controls the generated output power to the command value from the hierarchical wind farm controller. The proposed control scheme is compared with conventional control scheme as respect to loss and thermal analysis. The DPC scheme of improved command tracking capability is confirmed through PLECS simulations. Simulation result shows that proposed control scheme achieves a much shorter transient time in a step response of generated output power. The proposed control scheme makes it possible to provide a good dynamic performance for PMSG MV wind turbine to generate a high quality output power under grid fault condition.

  • 3-레벨 중성점 다이오드 클램프(NPC) 컨버터는 high-power medium voltage(MV)에서 많이 응용된다. 하지만 3-레벨 중성점 다이오드 클램프(NPC) 컨버터는 각 스위치 소자에서 손실이 불균형하게 발생하게 되어 스위치 소자 간 성능이 불균형하게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 단상 3-레벨 중성점 다이오드 클램프(NPC) 컨버터의 기존 모델 예측 제어의 스위칭 패턴을 분석 및 스위칭 순환방식을 이용한 효율적인 스위칭 상태를 갖는 모델 예측 제어를 제안한다. 이를 통해 PI 제어기 기반의 펄스 폭 변조 방법과 기존 모델 예측 제어 방법의 손실 비교를 통하여 제안하는 모델 예측 제어 성능을 검증한다.

  • The neutral sodium atoms have been slowed down to the trap depth by using a Zeeman slower and trapped by the magneto-optical method. The density and the temperature of the trapped atoms are measured, and the frequency region where the trap is available is represented. We controlled the flux of slowed atoms by varying the slowing beam intensity, and we measured the increasing and decreasing rate of trapped atoms. We show that the difference between the increasing and decreasing rate of trapped atoms result from the loss proportional to $N_2$.
