This study examined the effects of emotional content on the encoding process of emotional stimuli and the effects of emotional context on those of neutral stimuli. It was examined whether the superior memory of emotional stimuli is due to attentional resource allocation. This study were performed an emotional picture and a neutral word were presented in succession at every trials. The results of recognition judgement showed superior memory of emotional pictures than neutral pictures, but showed poorer memory of neutral words in emotional context than those in neutral context. LPC(Late Positive Complex) of ERP results showed the similar pattern: higher amplitude by emotional pictures than neutral pictures, and lower amplitude by neutral words in emotional context than those in neutral context. This result is considered to support attention allocation hypothesis.

Electron-neutral collision frequency is one of the important parameters in the plasma physics and in industrial plasma engineering. We can understand the momentum, energy, and charge transport properties of the plasma using electron-neutral collision frequency.[1] The wave-cutoff method is a diagnostic method for the electron density measurement, but the cutoff peak value depends on gas pressure. The wave-cutoff signal becomes unclear as increasing gas pressure. The reason of pressure dependence is that the electron-neutral collision disturbs electron motion so that microwave can propagate through plasma at plasma frequency.[2] Using the pressure dependence of wave-cutoff method we can find the electron-neutral collision frequency. At first we tried to confirm this method using well known gas such as Ar. The cutoff signal decrease as increasing gas pressure (the simulation result). The wave-cutoff signal is unclear at a gas pressure of 500 mTorr. (electron density $1.0{\times}10^{10}/cm^3$, electron temperature 1.7 eV, electron -neutral collision frequency~1 GHz). In this condition, the electron-neutral collision frequency is closed to the wave-cutoff frequency.

The purpose of the study was to examine model postures at fashion shows with respect to expressing fashion images including elegance and neutral-gender images. Data were gathered from the fashion shows held 2000 S/S through 2009 F/W, when elegance and neutral-gender fashion images were obvious in fashion collections. Three designer brands representing elegance and neutral-gender fashion images were selected by the researcher and fashion specialists including graduate students majoring in fashion. The fashion collection photos representing each image were selected from style.com, a website which contains four world's biggest fashion collections. The results showed different hand positions as a model posture according to fashion images. In the neutral-gender image, 16 photos (47%) showed a hand position at pockets, in the elegance image, 24 photos (82.3%) showed a hand position laying down by the sides. Also, walking pose was shown to be different between two fashion images. In the neutral-gender fashion image, 16 photos (52.9%) revealed a pose of 'natural walk', while 29 photos (100%) showed a pose of 'walk in a straight line' in the elegance imaged fashion. In conclusion, the neutral-gender image photos showed the pocket-positioned hand and the 'natural walk' poses more than elegance image photos, and elegance image photos revealed the hand position laying down by the sides and the 'walk in a straight line' poses than the photos of the neutral-gender image.
