Stability analysis in a two-path Temperature coefficient feedback reactor (2로 온도계수 궤환로에서의 안정성 해석)

  • In reactor operation, it is widely known that the absolute stability may not exist for multiple feedback paths even though the single lumped negative temperature coefficient feedback case is clearly stable at all frequencies above those creating xenon poisoning effects. However, interesting and useful stability information may be obtained from a two-path temperature coefficient feedback which can be represented in a water-cooled, water-moderated hetergeneous reactor. In this paper, the outline of an operating stability of a reactor having two-path temperature coefficient feedback is analyzed and described neglecting poison effects.

  • (M $n_{l-x}$M $g_{l-x}$)F $e_{2+x}$ $O_4$(x=0.0, 0.025, 0.1, 0.2) for NTC(negative temperature coefficient) thermistor was prepared by calcining at 80$0^{\circ}C$ and sintering at from 1100 to 130$0^{\circ}C$ with 5$0^{\circ}C$ intervals while x was varied from 0.0 to 0.025, 0.1 and 0.2. The best linear property was obtained in the based specimen sintered at 120$0^{\circ}C$ with x=0.1 composition. Thermistor parameter, $B_{25~85^{\circ}C}$, was in the range of 5000~ 7300 [K]. Temperature coefficient of resistance, $\alpha$$_{25^{\circ}C}$, was -5.2 %/$^{\circ}C$. The results showed the possibility that Mn-Ni-Co based thermistor could be substituted by the composition used in this study was confirmed.med.d.

  • In this paper, we designed a 2-stage CMOS operational amplifier with temperature compensation function using 2-poly 4-metal 0.35 $\mu$m standard CMOS technology. Using two bias circuits, the positive temperature coefficient(PTC) and the negative temperature coefficient(NTC) of the bias circuit are canceled out each other. When reference current circuit is simulated that it has a temperature coefficient of -150 ppm/$^{\circ}C$ with a temperature change from 0 $^{\circ}C$ to 120 $^{\circ}C$. Also the proposed circuit has a temperature coefficient of -0.011 dB/$^{\circ}C$ of DC open loop gain with the same temperature range.

  • In order to estimate thermal cracking in mass concrete and to decide the removal time of the forms outside the concrete structures in wintertime, temperature measurement is indispensible. Until now, the measurement system employs thermocouple type. In this paper, we introduce economical and accurate NTC(Negative Temperature Coefficient) ceramic type measurement system. In principle, NTC ceramic type sensor is very sensitive in the range -20~15$0^{\circ}C$. In this range, the signal change is so large that the sensor needs less amplification than thermocouple. Therefore, not only the sensor itself is inexpensive but also the system is too. In this experiments the temperature of the NTC system are identical to those of thermocouple. In conclusion, inexpensive NTC thermistor system is very adequate to the temperature measurement during concrete curing.

  • Electrical characteristics of crystalline polymer composites filled with nano-sized carbon black particle were studied. The developed composite system exhibited a typical positive temperature coefficient resistance (PTCR) characteristic, where the electrical resistance sharply increased at a specific temperature. The PTCR effect was sometimes followed by a negative temperature coefficient resistance (NTCR) feature with temperature, which seemingly caused by the coagulation of nano-sized carbon black particles in the excessive quantity. The PTCR temperature was controlled by the carbon black content and the external voltage. The change of electric conductivity was shown as a function of carbon black content, and the resistance was constant when the carbon black content was over 20 wt%. The room-temperature resistance was maintained by a repeated heating and cooling. The excellent PTCR characteristic was demonstrated by the low resistance in the initial stage and the instantaneous heating capability.

  • As a preceeding work for the study on dielectric characterstics of a kind of low density polyethylene introduced morphological change by mechanical method, glass transition temperature which is regarded as a macroscopic aspect for relaxation of molecular chain segments has been observed by means of temperature dependent dilatometric measurement. The origina specimen clearly shows two knees which correspond to two peaks (.gamma. and .betha. peak) in the intenal friction measurement, suggesting the existence of separated glass transition temperatures at 150.deg.k and 260.deg.k respectively. On the specimen irradiated to 100 Mrad both glass transition temperatures tend to shift towards high temperature sides because of crosslinking by irradiation. furthemore an evidence can be seen that radiation effect, even in amorphous phase, is also slelctive depending on slight morphological differences. The specimen extended to four times in length shows a peculiar nature such as negative linear thermal expansion coefficient increasing with temperature between 220.deg.k and ambient temperature and that this fact is interpreted by considering that c axis of the lattice aligns along the extended direction by drawing, further c axis inherently possesses the characteristics of negative linear thermal expansion coefficient. For the observations that the relatively small positive linear expansion on the specimen extended to ca. two times as well as the part below 220.deg.k of the specimen extended to four times, it is considered for the reason of the facts that the incompletely oriented region indicated as the middle part of Peterlin's model tends to restore partially to orginal arrangement-a kind of phase transition-as increasing with temperature.

  • This paper presents the design method of a temperature stable stepped-impedance resonator using composite material. In this method temperature coefficient of dielectric constant $(\tau\varepsilon)$ and thermal expansion coefficient $(\alpha1)$ of dielectric material were considered. Ba(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3 and CaZrO3 as composite material having opposite signs of temperature coefficient of dielectric constant were selected. The length of this resonator for the temperature stability of resonance frequency was calculated at 900MHz, 1.4㎓ and 1.9㎓. It was found that the ratio of the length of positive $\tau\varepsilon$ materal to the length of negative $\tau\varepsilon$ material is constant at various resonance frequencies.

  • In this study, microwave dielectric properties of 0.182BaO-0.818TiOS12T ceramics were investigated with sintering temperature and annealing time, and the application for the microwave dielectric resonator was studied. In the specimen simtered at 1400[$^{\circ}C$], dielectric constant, unloaded Q and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency had good values of 35.36, 5692, -4.43[ppm/$^{\circ}C$], respectively. The specimen which temperature coefficient of resonant frequency($\tau$f) was vared positive to negative value was selected, thereafter microwave dielctric properties was investigated with annealing time(0~4[hr]) in the fixed annealing temperature of 1350[$^{\circ}C$]. Increasing the annealing time, dielectric constant and unloaded Q were increased and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency was decreased.

The Effects of Urban Forest on Summer Air Temperature in Seoul, Korea (도시림의 여름 대기온도 저감효과 - 서울시를 대상으로 -)

  • The main purpose of this study was to estimate a new regression model to explain the relationship between urban forest and air temperature in summer, 2001. This study consists of two parts: correlation coefficient analysis and regression analysis. According to correlation coefficient analysis, thermal infra-red radiations of the major land use categories found significant difference in each category. However there were no significant relationship between the data (thermal infra-red radiation and NDVI) derived from Landsat-7 ETM+ image and air temperature at Automatic Weather Stations(AWSs). After estimating various regression models for summer air temperature, the final models were chosen. The final regression models consisted of two variables such as forest m and traffic facilities area. The regression models explained over 78% of the variability in air temperatures. The regression models with variables of forest area and traffic facilities area showed that the coefficient of the first variable was even more significant than the second one. However, the negative impact of the traffic facilities area was slightly greater than the positive impact of the forest area. Consequently, the effects of forest area and traffic facilities area were apparent to explain summer air temperature in Seoul. Therefore two policies have the most important implications to mitigate the summer air temperature in Seoul: to expand and to conserve the urban forest; and to change the Oafnc facilities'characteristics. The results from this study are expected to be useful not merely in informing the public that urban forest mitigates summer air temperahne, but in urging the necessity of budgets for trees and managing urban forests. It is recommended that field swey of summer air temperature be Performed for the vadidation of the models.   • This study was carried on cool and RT(room temperature) storage of unhulled rice. In RT storage of an analysis of coefficient relation, high significant positive coefficients were observed in toyo index and breakdown, setback and protein content. high significant negative coefficients were showed setback and breakdown, breakdown and protein content. In cool storage of an analysis of coefficient relation, high significant positive coefficients were observed in toyo index and amylose content and gelatinization start temperature and protein content and high significant negative coefficients were showed toyo index and whiteness, toyo index and gelatinization start temperature, gelatinization start temperature and amylose content. In RT storage of a path coefficient analysis, a highest positive direct influence was observed in amylose content and a highest negative direct influence was protein content. Positive indirect influence was high revealed breakdown and protein content and negative indirect influence was gelatinization start temperature and Mg/K ratio. In cool storage of a path coefficient analysis, a highest positive direct influence was whiteness and a highest positive indirect influence was gelatinization start temperature. Positive indirect influence was high revealed gelatinization start temperature and amylose content, negative indirect influence was whiteness and gelatinization start temperature. In RT storage of Multiple regression equation of Toyo index based on physicochemical properties of unhulled rice, a highest coefficient of determination was revealed among five facters of whiteness, protein content, Mg/K ratio, amylose content and gelatinization start temperature. In cool storage of Multiple regression equation of toyo index based on physicochemical properties of unhulled rice, highest coefficient of determination was revealed among five facters of moisture content, amylose content, gelatinization start temperature, breakdown and setback.
