  • To spread the incredible experience of wandering around a building, we propose the architecture of indoor navigation system based on inter-floor. Firstly, we combine trilateration method with Fingerprint Positioning Algorithm for positioning and Dijkstra Algorithm for calculating paths. Then the system can get the user's current locations and provide relevant paths according to the user's choice. Moreover, it can also provide the navigation path which takes the inter-floor information into consideration. It breaks the traditional navigation based on planar graph and has abundant business value.

  • There are services, which can only verify simple objects ahead, to help visually impaired people using ultrasonic wave or RFID tag. Specially, RFID cannot manage emergency situations, since it is can only verify short distances. The purpose of the thesis is to design a device to provide locations in real time visually and audibly to the guardian of the user using Android Platform.

  • This paper discusses about the implementation of a simulator for the Navigation Control System(NCS) of bimodal tram. To operate a NCS of bimodal tram, values of all sorts of sensors installed in bimodal tram should be transmitted to the NCS, and the NCS calculates the measured sensor values to determine traveling direction, traveling speed, current position etc. The implementation of the simulator consists of a device applying driver's input transaction function & virtual sensor program and a sub-rack device that controls communication with the NCS to evaluate navigation control function. The virtual sensor program can create routes (map), traveling profiles & seat information et cetera in order to transmit to the NCS, analyzes driver's input values and NCS output values to create virtual sensor values. The sub-rack device takes charge of communication with the NCS using CAN-OPEN, CAN-J1939, MVP protocols. This paper discusses about the implementation of the simulator and afterwards analyzes and evaluates the NCS simulation results.

  • The -advent of electronic navigation equipment and trustworthy computer which provides people with convenience made the management system by one-man bridge operation or the least people who are needed possible through the integration of communication network with various navigation equipment and related institution. One of the most needed ultra-modem navigation device for a mate, ECDIS is a core equipment for navigation in ENS that notifies peril to mate as well as supervises all tasks in hydrographical chart, voyage planning, course monitoring and voyage recording. We should make coast and ocean voyage planning first, for the secure navigation which is considering the course circumstances and next, for the reduction of voyage dates in economical aspect. There needs a thoughtful consideration about the feature of the ship itself and the course with weather condition in taking up the course and also we have to take into accounts about appropriate distance between ships. Considering the essential conditions of ECDIS the indispensable device in the future, it was developed the basic principle for voyage planning algorithm for officer and programmed to real implementation available. In this paper including most of the requirements in ECDIS performance standard I mentioned about such a basic and a core Principle with real application by using the Visual C++ programming language. The voyage plan includes the function that indicate and modifies all the way points in the course from department port to arrival port with erasing the wrong way points. Also, it provides in a document form that shows ETA at glance in average speed sailing.

  • The paper presents VDR system for efficiency of ocean navigation device and how to output and to save data using this system as well as compressed digital data and analog video output from the camera are utilized at the same time. The compressed digital data is used to store video for VDR device while analog video is used to display on screen in real-time so that VDR system saves the load on SD memory card without navigation terminal and output it with real-time video. Also, the control method using VDR system are proposed for saving and outputting data.

  • As cities develops, road systems become more and more complicated. These days people depends on navigation systems when walking as well as driving cars. General navigation systems are either installed in cars or exists as smart phone applications. Therefore, it is very difficult to use them while walking or riding bicycles. Moreover, disabled person cannot use them to find his destinations. In this paper, we propose a bracelet navigation system for walkers and disabled people, and describe the design and implementation of such a device. This navigation will help not only walkers and people riding bicycle but also disabled people to actively participate their social activities.

  • In this study, a AGV(Auto Guide Vehicle) is presented and the dynamic characteristics of AGV driving device is investigated. The design factors of hydraulic pump and motor is an important component for it's performance characteristics. the dynamic characteristics of hydraulic pump and motor is simulated by using commercial code AMESim. Simulation results show that each behavior can be predicted with changing the various parameters.

  • With the advancement of the mobile device and arrival of the integrated wired/wireless environments, the damand for services accessible by mobile devices is rapidly increasing. However, unlike existing wired networks, communication in wireless networks has many weaknesses. Therefore, research and development into an appropriate security technology has reached a critical stage, as combined wired/wireless environments emerge. Z-Clutching: Interaction Technique for Navigating 3D Virtual Environment Using a Generic Haptic Device

  • Navigating a large 3D virtual environment using a generic haptic device can be challenging since the haptic device is usually bounded by its own physical workspace. On the other hand, mouse interaction easily handles the situation with a clutching mechanism-simply lifting the mouse and repositioning its location in the physical space. Since the haptic device is used for both input and output at the same time, in many cases, its freedom needs to be limited in order to accommodate such a situation. In this paper, we propose a new mechanism called Z-Clutching for 3D navigation of a virtual environment by using only the haptic device without any interruption or sacrifice in the given degrees of freedom of the device's handle. We define the clutching state which is set by pulling the haptic handle back into space. It acts similarly to lifting the mouse off the desk. In this way, the user naturally feels the haptic feedback based on the depth (z-direction), while manipulating the haptic device and moving the view as desired. We conducted a user study to evaluate the proposed interaction technique, and the results are promising in terms of the usefulness of the proposed mechanism.

  • For the development of surveillance Multi Sensor and IFOG, development of integrated surveillance camera for day and night time of its system Control Unit design and navigation device interlocking system was made. Control Unit analysis of integrated ship system began with selection of control unit related to feasible navigation device list.After sorting navigation equipment list, applications, features, connection methods, communication methods, data type of control unit and data direction between navigation equipments and the data types of each navigation equipment is sorted to observe its performance.
