  • Underwater explosion shock response analysis of a nonlinear double resiliently mounted equipment on a MIL-S-901D Large floating Shock Platform(LFSP) was carried out using LS-DYNA3D/USA. As a nonlinear double resiliently mounted equipment, real main engine module of naval ship was considered, where the engine, bearing, and base frame including sound enclosure were treated as rigid bodies with six degrees of freedom. The nonlinear effects of resilient mounts on its shock response characteristics were examined, and the usefulness of our suggested method was also confirmed comparing with calculation results by the equipment maker.

LNG-FPSO 선박 장비들의 보전활동 지원시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Maintenance System for Equipment of LNG-FPSO Ship)

  • 본 연구에서는 LNG-FPSO 선박에 탑재되어 있는 장비들의 운영효율을 최대화하기 위한 상태기반유지보수(CBM) 활동을 지원하는 보전시스템을 개발하였다. 개발된 보전시스템에서는 상태기반유지보수를 수행할 주요 장비들을 식별하여 이를 PWBS(Product Work Breakdown Structure)로 정의하였고 식별된 장비들로부터 실시간 수집되는 센서데이터를 이용하여 장비들의 고장분석과 최적 유지 보수 방안을 결정하기 위한 경제성평가 등을 수행하며, 이들을 수행하기 위해 필요한 입출력 데이터를 저장, 관리하는 고장사례 및 유지보수데이터베이스를 구축하였다. 개발시스템의 성능검증을 현재 개발 중인 LNG-FPSO 선박의 Inlet 시스템의 Compressor와 화물창의 Pump Tower 등과 같은 주요 장비들을 대상으로 실시하였고 이를 바탕으로 상태기반유지보수의 가능성을 확인하였다.

AUV hull lines optimization with uncertainty parameters based on six sigma reliability design

  • Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV), which are becoming more and more important in ocean exploitation tasks, needs energy conservation urgently when sailing the complex mission path in long time cruise. As hull lines optimization design becomes the key factor, which closely related with resistance, in AUV preliminary design stage, uncertainty parameters need to be considered seriously. In this research, Myring axial symmetry revolution body with parameterized expression is assumed as AUV hull lines, and its travelling resistance is obtained via modified DATCOM formula. The problems of AUV hull lines design for the minimum travelling resistance with uncertain parameters are studied. Based on reliability-based optimization design technology, Design For Six Sigma (DFSS) for high quality level is conducted, and is proved more reliability for the actual environment disturbance.

함정용 추진전동기의 내충격성 해석 (Shock Resistance Analysis of a Propulsion Motor for Naval Vessels)

  • Shock-resistance test for a real equipment for a normal vessel is one of the difficult problem in many cases because of terrible cost and weight. An analysis technique to evaluate the shock resistance in a design stage is necessary, instead In this paper, the process to evaluate the shock resistance of a propulsion motor for naval vessels was presented based on German navy's BV043 regulation. The shock signal to impose the equipment under the test was first evaluated, and was then applied to the structural FE model of the equipment. From the transient FEA, the time history of von-Mises stress was obtained by the mode superposition method. The shock resistance was evaluated using the peak value of the von-Mises stress.

  • The latest development of the submarine oil field and the deep-sea explorer, FPSO is commonly proposed and used for offshore oil production. And because the fundamental requirement of FPSOs to remain moored at their position, they are unable to avoid severe weather and environment. FPSO normally operates head to the weather, and sensitive equipment located the exposed area will be influenced by green water damages, the damages may occur to both onboard equipment and topside structures with resulting risk to personnel. In this paper, the main focus considers the physical structures of green water protector in order to preserve topside structures, equipment and personnel from green water.

  • 정보저장 소프트웨어는 함정전투체계의 연동 분석을 위해 전투 관리체계의 전술 도메인 메시지를 분석 컴퓨터로 전달하는 기능을 수행하며, 전투 관리체계와 분석 컴퓨터 간의 중간 매개체 역할을 한다. 정보저장 소프트웨어는 전투 관리체계에서 사용하는 대부분의 메시지를 처리하기 때문에 소스 코드의 양이 상대적으로 많고, 연동 장비 및 메시지의 변경 사항에 의해 수정 사항이 빈번하게 발생한다. 이에 따라 개발 과정에서 추가적인 공수가 소요되게 되고, 결국 개발 비용의 증가로 이어지게 된다. 본 논문에서는 재사용성을 향상하기 위하여 정보저장 소프트웨어 구조에 대한 표준화에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 휘처 모델을 통해 정보저장 소프트웨어의 구성 요소를 기능별로 나누어 수정 요소를 분리하고, 디자인 패턴을 적용하여 정보저장 소프트웨어의 구조를 개선하였다. 그로 인해 연동 장비와 메시지의 변화에도 정보저장 소프트웨어의 수정 사항을 최소화할 수 있게 되어 개발 비용의 절감 효과가 기대된다.

VPMM 시험을 통한 무인 수중 글라이더 모형의 동유체력 계수 추정에 관한 연구 (Experimental Study on Hydrodynamic Coefficients of Autonomous Underwater Glider Using Vertical Planar Motion Mechanism Test)

  • A vertical planar motion mechanism(VPMM) test was used to increase the prediction accuracy for the maneuverability of an underwater glider model. To improve the accuracy of the linear hydrodynamic coefficients, the analysis techniques of a pure heave test and pure pitch test were developed and confirmed. In this study, the added mass and damping coefficient were measured using a VPMM test. The VPMM equipment provided pure heaving and pitching motions to the underwater glider model and acquired the forces and moments using load cells. As a result, the hydrodynamic coefficients of the underwater glider could be acquired after a Fourier analysis of the forces and moments. Finally, a motion control simulation was performed for the glider control system, and the results are presented.

An inertia-type hybrid mount combining a rubber mount and a piezostack actuator for naval shipboard equipment

  • This paper has been focused on developing a new hybrid mount for shipboard equipment used in naval surface ships and submarines. While the hybrid mount studied in our previous research was 100 kg-class series-type mount, the new hybrid mount has been designed as an inertia-type mount capable of supporting a static of 500 kg. The proposed mount consists of a commercial rubber resilient mount, a piezostack actuator and an inertial mass. The piezostack actuator connected with the inertial mass generates actively the control force. The performances of the proposed mount with a newly designed specific controller have been evaluated in accordance with US military specifications and compared with the passive mount. An isolation system consisting of four proposed mounts and auxiliary devices has been also tested. Through a series of experimental tests, it has been confirmed that the proposed mount provides better performance than the US Navy's standard passive mounts.

함정 발생 수중 전자기장 신호의 특성 및 측정 기법 (Characteristics and Measurement Method of the Underwater Electromagnetic Signature Emitted from a Naval Ship)

  • The underwater electromagnetic signatures of a naval ship are mainly generated from three sources which are the permanent and induced magnetic field in the ship's hull and other ferrous components, the cathodic current electromagnetic field established by the Impressed Current Cathodic Protection(ICCP) system or the Sacrificial Anode and the stray electromagnetic fields generated by onboard equipment. These signatures can be minimized by certain design methods or installation of signature reduction equipment. In this paper, we represented the characteristic of the underwater electromagnetic signature and the signature reduction techniques for a naval ship. Also, we measured the electromagnetic field changes emitted from the real ship using the Electric and Magnetic field Measurement System(EMMS). We found that the underwater electromagnetic signature for a naval ship can be used as input or trigger signal in a surveillance system and an influence mine.

다중반사를 고려한 함정의 외부 탑재 장비 최적배치 연구 (A Study on Stealth Design for Exterior Equipment Arrangement Considering the Multi-Bounce Effect)

  • 함정 외부 탑재 장비의 복잡한 형상에 의해서 발생하는 다중반사는 경로를 예측하기 어렵고 높은 RCS(Radar Cross Section)의 원인이 된다. 따라서 함정의 외부 탑재 장비의 최적배치 설계가 RAS(Radar Absorbing Structure) 방법으로 고려되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 함정 외부 탑재 장비에서 발생하는 다중반사와 RCS를 최소화하기 위하여 함정 외부 탑재 장비 최적배치를 수행하였다. 외부 탑재 장비 최적배치에 사용된 알고리즘은 순차적 내림차순 방법을 이용하였다. 함정 외부 탑재 장비 최적배치를 수행하기 위하여 LCS-2 type을 해석 모델로 선정하였다. 계산 비용을 줄이기 위해서 장비의 기여도 분석 및 다중반사 경로 분석 등을 통해 최적 배치를 수행할 장비를 선정하였고 최적배치를 통해 RCS가 최소가 되는 최적배치 위치를 도출하였다. 또한 RCS 변화에 따른 레이다의 탐지거리 변화율을 이용하여 RCS 감소효과를 분석 하였다.
