  • Although the development of food technology is relatively fast, it's application is very broad. So, it is necessary that quantitative analysis method can be introduced in analysing of research trends and implication of research themes. Most countries do not classify in food additives as synthesis or natural. However, the use of natural food additives should be recommended by considering about health safety. In this regard, quantitative analysis based on bibliographic information of patents and papers is vital to analyse the trend of research on natural food additives. The data regarding with natural food additives was assigned patents and published papers in the world from 1996 to March 2016 and Thomson Innovation, analysis program was provided by Thomson reuters.

  • In this study, the changes in occlusal strength and oral environment before and after the use of natural gargles containing cinnamon were confirmed. This study involved 42 adults aged 19 or older living in Busan from November 25 to December 2, 2023. Twenty-one people were randomly selected for each of the regular and natural gargles. In this study, the group using natural gargles confirmed an increase in saliva buffering power, a decrease in O'Leary index, and an increase in occlusal strength. Through this, it was confirmed that natural gargles containing cinnamon are helpful in improving the oral environment and occlusal strength.

  • The accurate determination of bisphosphonate levels in bone and biological fluids is important in both clinical and pharmacological/toxicological studies; however, the quantitative analysis of the bisphosphonate is difficult because its concentration is quite low in most of biological sample. A novel fluorescent chemosensor (FCS)-based measurement method of bisphosphaonate levels using Naphta-diDPA-$2Zn^{2+}$ (NadDPA-$2Zn^{2+}$, DPA = dipycolylamine), an excellent FCS previously used for detecting PPi, was developed. By the FCS method, the concentration of bisphosphonates having no fluorophores can be determined analyzed with sufficient sensitivity. The results of this study indicate that the FCS-based measurement can be a useful method to analyze bisphosphonates in biological samples.

  • This study organizes scenarios on the power supply plans and electricity load forecasts considering their uncertainties and estimates natural gas quantity for electricity generation, total electricity supply cost and air pollutant emission of each scenario. Also the analysis is performed to check the properness of government's natural gas demand forecast and the possibility of achieving the government's CO2 emission target with the current plan and other scenarios. In result, no scenario satisfies the government's CO2 emission target and the natural gas demand could be doubled to the government's forecast. As under-forecast of natural gas demand has caused the increased natural gas procurement cost, it is required to consider uncertainties of power plant construction plan and electricity demand forecast in forecasting the natural gas demand. In addition, it is found that CO2 emission target could be achieved by enlarging natural gas use and demand-side management without big increase of total costs.

  • The natural circulation phenomena occurring in fully integrated nuclear reactors are associated with a unique formation mechanism. The phenomenon results from a structural feature of these reactors involving upward flow from the core, located in the central-bottom region of a single vessel, and downward flow to the steam generator in the annulus region. In this study, to understand the natural circulation in a single vessel involving a multi-layered flow path, single-phase and two-phase natural circulation tests were performed using the SMART-ITL facility, and validation analysis of the TASS/SMR-S code was performed by comparing the corresponding test results. Three single-phase natural circulation tests were sequentially conducted at 15%, 10%, and 5% of full-scaled core-power without RCP operation, following which a two-phase natural circulation test was successively conducted with an artificial discharge of coolant inventory. The simulation capability of the TASS/SMR-S code with respect to the natural circulation phenomena was validated against the test results, and somewhat conservative but reasonably comparative results in terms of overall thermalhydraulic behavior were shown.

  • The microhabitat of Iksookimia hugowolfeldi was surveyed in two sites, Geogeum Island and Jangheung. I. hugowolfeldi in Geogeum Island inhabits mainly pool. This water system consists of sand and cobble and has a shallow water (0.1~0.8 m depth) with slow currents (0.1 m/s). 0+ years old inhabits pool consist of sand and lives in a less than 0.3 m depth. I. hugowolfeldi in Jangheung population inhabits mainly pool consists of sand and cobble and lives in a shallow water (0.1~0.8 m depth) with slow currents (0.1 m/s) compared to the stream of Geogeum Island. With some different fish species, sympatric species collected at Geogeum Island and Jangheung population are 7 species in 4 family identically in the two sites.
