The underground space of urban entertainment center can do various roles for urban development. Especially, the design of underground space using natural elements is necessary to sustainable development of facilities. The purpose of this study is to propose the elements, characteristics and application around interior environmental design using natural elements in underground space of urban entertainment center. The research methods of this study are research references, survey and field-study. This study can be concluded as follows; First, the factors of interior environmental design using natural elements in underground space of urban entertainment center are 'landmarks expression of natural elements', 'introduction and planning of daylighting', 'planning of materials using natural images', 'planning of ecological footpath' and 'planning of energy recycling'. Second, pedestrian space and openspace considering regional context are necessary. Third, introduction of daylight and design of artificial lighting in underground space are needed to making eco-friendly environment. Fourth, landmark design using various natural elements in underground space is needed to provide eco-friendly amenity. Fifth, the interior environmental design using natural elements is needed to community space in underground space. Sixth, eco-friendly pedestrian space in underground space is necessary. Seventh, interior environmental design using natural elements is needed to the entrance of underground space of urban entertainment center.

Recently, as people have more interest in health, and some change takes place in their lifestyles, a demand for environment-friendly residential space is also increasing. Research on the introduction of natural elements is mostly conducted for humans to pursue a more pleasant and comfortable life in residential space since it has one of the closest relation with humans. Therefore, it is such an important assignment at present when environmental problems are considered significant. Based on such a necessity, this study analyzed the introduction types and characteristics of natural elements in residential space by considering essential and psychological aspects more than previous researches on residential space with practical and functional aspects. As natural elements, this study put limits on plants and water that are used a lot in the interior space, and by dividing introduction types into recomposition of courtyard space, spatial partition and decorative elements, this study carried out a case analysis of residential space structures recently completed in Japan. As a basic research on space planning that is desperately required by change in the residential life paradigm and on the basis of understanding about nature, it is expected that the results of this study will be used as design basic data useful when establishing plans of introducing natural elements for residential space in the future.

Lighting made interior space visible and to recognize space itself. Sp9ace and form are established not themselves , but lighting. and dextrous treatment of natural light accomplished poeteic space. Inflowing of lighting in interior space is main factor to decide space character and image . That was recognized in interior space through many centries. At this point, this study was described for that present inflowing of lighting adapting space character and right method in lighting program. The present study is to present the planning method of the most appropriate and the most rational natural lighting in planing for lighting. Under this premise the followings are made ; I. An introduction , the purpose, the sphere, and the method of this study are stated. II, The present writer studied the general characteristics of natural lighting. III. this author studied the factor of decision on control and representation skill of lighting along the following. IV. Analyzing interior space in which the natural lighting is introduced through some literature and case studies. Physics, psychology, structure, equipment, material. V. The last, the author rearranged the results of this study.

In the modern ages when the surroundings of a city has become firm and monotonous this study designed to suggest an direction towards creative approaches to space planning by analyzing the images of interior space with the introduction of natural expressions as an alternative to create original space in order to give vitality to the previous standardized space and to satisfy human beings psychological desire. The results of the analysis as a way of expressing direct indirect and eclectic images using nature a source of arts read that most of the natural expressions show perceptive images strongly that natural elements can become the elements of design in any form and that nature's images are expressed by not only natural and artificial materials. In conclusion natural expression in interior space does not have any fixed form of expression but gives a great deal of vocabulary to the image formation of interior space by stimulating being's sentiment with the spatial restructure of nature's own particular order of form.

As interests towards health rapidly increase recently, interests and demand for hospital interior space are increasing as well. Therefore, most of today's hospitals that have been functionally designed are transforming into healing environments that consider psychological aspects, in order to assist patients forget about fear, desperation and have peace of mind. With such creation method of healing environment, natural elements can be applied to spaces in order to allow patients feel vitality, hope and adapt positive thinking, and these can eventually lead to affluent fusion of humans, nature and space. Through case analyses of how natural elements are applied to hospital's interior space, this study understands its characteristics. According to the findings, nature is largely classified into light, water, plant, stone/soil, and its application methods can be classified into center, transition, continuity, division, opening and closure. As evident from case analyses, application of natural elements to hospital's interior space promotes exchanges among patients through community formation, and achieves the effect of spatial concentration and public place. Also, ambiguity of exterior and interior boundary creates a sense of expansion and continuous effect, and can also provide a healing environment that can fully absorb natural environment open to patients. This study aims to be of service when designing hospital's interior space, with its natural element application method for healing environment research, and wishes for continuous studies on healing environments with more diverse methods.

In the commercial space, the modern consumers want to consume not only product but also culture. Thus, the modern commercial space tries to induce the customer's concern and purchase to the differentiated design. The introduction of this 'the natural element' delivers the pleasure and stability to the consumer buying process and availability is enlarged. Therefore, the purpose of study is gain that expression and characteristic method of the natural element in the commercial space. The detailed study method are as follows. First, the study looks into the natural element expression tendency in the modern space. Second, the expression type of the natural element was classified as 'Reappearance', 'Transformation', and 'Fuse' based on the preceding research. And according to the content of the expression type, subdivided method of 'Inclusion' and 'Replication' of 'Reappearance' and method of 'Imitation' and 'Association' of 'Transformation' and method of 'Juxtaposition' and 'Combine' of 'Fuse'. Third, the result of analyze the characteristic of expression of the natural element of the besides the commercial space case 20 place is as follows. First, 'Inclusion' of 'Reappearance' introduced the external scenery or planned garden as the inside through the opening. 'Replication' is used for decorative purposes or functional purposes as the natural element. 'Imitation' of 'Transformation' imitated the form, pattern, and color of the natural element and was mainly expressed in the wall and objet. The method of 'Association' expressed the concept of the natural element for the whole of the space and a portion of the wall and objet repetitively. As for 'Juxtaposition', mixture of 'Reappearance' had a good visual effect, because it can be obtained the external-internal nature. As for 'Combine', mixture of 'Replication' and 'Imitation' was the most common method. Thus, the study results are expected to be utilized as base date in designing the commercial with development of the natural element application method.

The purpose of this study was to draw application elements of housing interior design according to user-oriented sensibility types. The sensibility evaluation experiments were conducted to target the general user 118 people using the sensibility evaluation tool for housing interior space. The results of the analysis were as: To produce the 'cozy' space, the colors and materials giving soft and natural feeling should be used. For the 'practical' space, type of ceiling and window that give the visually open feeling, the user-oriented furniture arrangement that allows using the space efficiently. For the 'cheerful' space, the simple and natural effects should be produced by using closed space that stable. For the 'traditional' space, the natural fishing material having rough texture should be used. For the 'unique' space, the space contained the dynamic feeling by the diagonal or vertical line and the graphic expression in the wall. For the 'congenial' emotional space, basic is the symmetric, stable and simple space. On the other hand, for the material, small size, natural texture or typical and soft materials should be used. For the 'sensuous' space, the dynamic and vertical sense of space should be expressed by the type of ceiling. The most important elements for the space of 'gorgeous' sensibility, is the color.

This study is to present the visual phenomenon of natural light in the interior space. The continuously changing natural light define the visual phenomenon of the architectural space. First, the objective of this study was finding the importance of the visual phenomena which were generated from correlating natural right with the interior space. And the second was to categorize the factors of the visual phenomenon which can be useful factors for modern interior design practice. As a result of this study, two visual phenomena were classified. First; territorial phenomenon: dividing, partitioning, and sectioning by natural light, Second; phenomena by the inflow methods of natural light; a) by direct inflow; transparency, expansion, and floating, b) by filtering fixtures; the architectural structure, color, and the transluscent material, c) by dramatic spacial present of natural light, d) by the sense of direction of naturel light; continuity, and transformatiov. Found and classified each factor is not presented by itself, rather compounded forms. Because of the limited analysis of modern buildings, these found visual factors can not represent all phenomena. But if we practice these finding factors to design present interior space, it is sure of being very valuable factors to re-introduce the overlooked natural light into interior space.

In case of Senior Hospitals, meticulous care is required in both amount and quality of natural lighting because of the semi-long term residence of patients. Natural lighting has a huge impact on the physical and psychological part for the seniors. Likewise, natural lighting is an important factor considered for hospital design because it can also effect hospitalization period of patients. Research subject was K Senior Hospital which was determined as the courtyard-type building made to provide healing environment through natural lighting. Analysis was performed by dividing the space of K Senior Hospital into Central Treatment Department directly used by patients, Outpatient Department(OPD), Ward Department, Common Use Department. Research was carried out in two ways of integration value analysis using SPACE SYNTAX and illumination intensity analysis using ECOTECT. K Senior Hospital intended to actively let in natural light through courtyard and to make patients exposed to natural light when they walk along the circuit corridor built around the courtyard. This environmental consideration affected the utilization rate of Common Use Department and residence time of patients raising the average of Common Use Department on every floor. As a resuit of this study presenting type C and type D, part of four types of illumination intensity, takes higher percentage of almost every spaces compare to the others therefore K Senior Hospital was designed on the assumption of healing environment composition through natural light. The result of this research would be used meaningfully in the space programming phase of Senior Hospitals in the future. Utilization rate can be adjusted using illumination intensity value in the space that integration rate should be planed to be high. The use(purpose) of space and integration rate can be used as a guideline to set illumination intensity of natural.

According to change a generation, in modern society the view which looks at the nature the people and the space is changing. As recognition which the environment is the most important factor in our society, there are researches that environment has to preserve and there are methods that the environment is related with the human, therefore, in the space ecology design views that similar to modern society are being shift. Museum of natural environment is public and popular space that it is designed and composed by a method of ecology space design. Hence, on this study, the museum of natural environment is defined public space by ways of characteristics of ecology design and a design characteristic which the museum of natural environment basically has to arrange are examined. Gallery of natural environment is most related with subsidiarity of mutuality, unity of the totality and stablity and will need other factors such as diversity & balance and suitability. Characteristic of museum of natural environment will be understood method for extension of a sustainable and mutual public space based on the this study, and it will become a process that we will have to advance for not only the present day but also the future.
