This paper presents a low-cost robotic device for shoulder rehabilitation, which is capable of treating various shoulder disabilities. A 3-DOF passive shoulder joint tracking module was designed to allow for translational motion of the shoulder joint center during arm swing, which is essential for natural shoulder movement. The weight of the user's arm and the device were compensated for by springs, to enable gravity-free shoulder motion. In order to reduce the device's cost, only one actuator was used, which can be aligned with the user's shoulder joint in various orientations. The device is capable of implementing five representative shoulder motions, including flexion/extension, abduction/adduction, horizontal abd/adduction, internal/external rotation, and oblique raise. The proposed low-cost shoulder rehabilitation robot is expected to provide effective rehabilitation for patients with various shoulder impairments.

This study was conducted to provide sustainable measures for conservation and management to protect valuable natural/ecological resources, offer differentiated quality assurance services for eco-tourism products, and explore measures for eco-tourism certification/designation systems. To achieve its goals, the study discussed domestic and overseas trends and literatures that concern eco-tourism certification/designation system and investigated case studies that were presently operational. A group of experts and a group of non-experts were surveyed separatedly to investigate the awareness of the national eco-tourism certification/designation system. The results from the investigation indicate that Europe, since the late 1990s to early 2000, has actively introduced a system that establishes and operates a dedicated institution, and European members have created a cooperation framework to formulate international partnerships and develop standardized assessment benchmarks to adhere to the goals of the system, the period for certification was designated from one year to five years, and renewals were granted based on periodic monitoring and reassessment. In Korea, from early 2000, the Ministry of Culture, Sorts and Tourism and other organizations have certified product quality and assessed travel products and national park tour programs. The certification period was established to be set between one and three years, and the vast majority were not reassessed. Upon investigating the results for awareness of national eco-tourism certification/designation system, a high number of respondents agreed with the need to establish a eco-tourism certification/designation system (90% of respondents), and the respondents cited eco-tourism quality assurance, conservation of value, means to maintain established institutions, and environmental education and information as reasons for needing a certification/designation system. In Korea, a certification/designation system for the eco-tourism industry is presently in operation, but the system regulates target institutions based on their characteristics. Therefore, this study proposes its suggestions via various categories, including designated institutions, designated purpose, designated subjects, designated organization, laws, regulations, and incentives.
In 3D virtual environment the description of character' s movement that has utilized the conventional key-frame technique is gradually being developed toward the application of motion control method to generate more realistic and natural motion. Even the motion control method, however, has the limitation for expression of character's motion adapted to the ground properties of virtual world. That is, the walking motions of character are not only, for the most part, so uniform simple and repeated often as to feel to be tedious, but also the unnatural motion in which the tips of the toes soak through a plane or float in the air discording with the conditions of terrain lowers the semblance of reality. This paper proposes an adaptive motion control method for human figure locomotion in virtual environments or games, in which the walking motion is dynamiccally adapted to the ground's sliding properties. We compute an optimal parameters for one cycle of walking motion adapted to the ground properties by combining the coefficient of friction and centripetal force, and therefrom we induce a set of nonskid speed corresponding to various sliding properties of the ground.
Body movements of humans have emotions and these movements have meanings of 'Living Spirits' and 'Emotions'. Also emotions of humans indicate all body movements which are made within the environment. This study aims at providing new potentials to emotional design research methods not only by understanding the characteristics of visual perception according to body movements and but by investigating correlations between sequence which arise by the visual perception and emotions through experiments. As for the scope and method of this study, the emotional space designs were analyzed through the emotional theory study, SD method was used to evaluate emotions and the movements in the modern village and traditional village with similar elements were compared and analyzed for the empirical study. As a result, first it was confirmed waling hours in the traditional village took more than the modern village and it is thought movements of humans are affected by the visual environments. Second, it was confirmed values of the emotional evaluation were higher in the traditional village than the modern village. Third, according to a result of the correlation analysis between space sequence and emotions, it was closed with negative emotions such as 'Closed', and 'Complicated' from positive emotional words such as 'Natural'. 'Open', 'Curious', etc. as spaces are experienced more through movements in the modern village. On the contrary, the emotional intensity of the positive words such as 'In Harmony', 'Beautiful' and 'Warn' through movements in the traditional village increased as spaces were experienced more. As a result of this study, it was confirmed the time, space and emotions have correlations each other.

Omphalotus japonicus is known to as a poisonous mushroom in East Asia, but Illudin S, bioluminescent compound, has been recently reported for an anticancer effect. The fungus is quite rare in natural condition in Korea. Therefore, we tried to cultivate in the mushroom on the sawdust cultivation to provide sufficient amount of mushroom for pharmaceutical study for the future. The mushroom could be harvested from all sawdust media used in this study, and the sawdust of Pinus densiflora was considered to be the best for mushroom cultivation with considering mushroom productivity and cultivation period. The mushroom was produced 43~80 g fresh weight per 600 g sawdust medium in average, and could be harvested one to three times during cultivation period.
Background: The number of synthesized chemicals has rapidly increased over the past decade. For many chemicals, there is a lack of information on toxicity. With the current movement toward reducing animal testing, the use of toxicity big data and deep learning could be a promising tool to screen potential toxicants. Objectives: This study identified potential chemicals related to reproductive and estrogen receptor (ER)-mediated toxicities for 1135 cleaning products and 886 laundry products. Methods: We listed chemicals contained in cleaning and laundry products from a publicly available database. Then, chemicals that potentially exhibited reproductive and ER-mediated toxicities were identified using the European Union Classification, Labeling and Packaging classification and ToxCast database, respectively. For chemicals absent from the ToxCast database, ER activity was predicted using deep learning models. Results: Among the 783 listed chemicals, there were 53 with potential reproductive toxicity and 310 with potential ER-mediated toxicity. Among the 473 chemicals not tested with ToxCast assays, deep learning models indicated that 42 chemicals exhibited ER-mediated toxicity. A total of 13 chemicals were identified as causing reproductive toxicity by reacting with the ER. Conclusions: We demonstrated a screening method to identify potential chemicals related to reproductive and ER-mediated toxicities utilizing chemical toxicity big data and deep learning. Integrating toxicity data from in vivo, in vitro, and deep learning models may contribute to screening chemicals in consumer products.

Artificial life is used in various fields of applied science by evaluating natural life-related systems, their processes, and evolution. Research has been actively conducted to evolve physical body design and behavioral control strategies for the dynamic activities of these artificial life forms. However, since co-evolution of shapes and neural networks is difficult, artificial life with optimized movements has only one movement in one form and most do not consider the environmental conditions around it. In this paper, artificial life that co-evolve bodies and neural networks using predator-prey models have environmental adaptive movements. The predator-prey hierarchy is then extended to the top-level predator, medium predator, prey three stages to determine the stability of the simulation according to initial population density and correlate between body evolution and population dynamics.

In this paper, With the development of modern science and technology are Sheds to stay indoors rather than outdoors space it increased significantly compared to the past. And a wide variety of research about outdoor air quality until recently, efforts are underway but the issue of air quality in the room is the fact that all considered relatively lightly. As the contamination of the room air is polluted, unlike the natural environment, a large outdoor air dilution rate, the dilution rate is very low, once the contaminated air continuously circulating exerts a very bad influence on the health of people staying in the room. In this study, movement characteristics of the person living in a room, the air measuring device for the study of the active indoor environmental control system reflects the life form to measure the quality of the measured air in real time for transmitting the information to the user of the smart devices, alarm bot It was implemented and operational applications.
Background: Climate change is occurring rapidly around the world, and is predicted to have a large impact on biodiversity. Various studies have shown that climate change can alter the geographical distribution of wild bees. As climate change affects the species distribution and causes range shift, the degree of range shift and the quality of the habitats are becoming more important for securing the species diversity. In addition, those pollinator insects are contributing not only to shaping the natural ecosystem but also to increased crop production. The distributional and habitat quality changes of wild bees are of utmost importance in the climate change era. This study aims to investigate the impact of climate change on distributional and habitat quality changes of five wild bees in northwestern regions of Iran under two representative concentration pathway scenarios (RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5). We used species distribution models to predict the potential range shift of these species in the year 2070. Result: The effects of climate change on different species are different, and the increase in temperature mainly expands the distribution ranges of wild bees, except for one species that is estimated to have a reduced potential range. Therefore, the increase in temperature would force wild bees to shift to higher latitudes. There was also significant uncertainty in the use of different models and the number of environmental layers employed in the modeling of habitat suitability. Conclusion: The increase in temperature caused the expansion of species distribution and wider areas would be available to the studied species in the future. However, not all of this possible range may include high-quality habitats, and wild bees may limit their niche to suitable habitats. On the other hand, the movement of species to higher latitudes will cause a mismatch between farms and suitable areas for wild bees, and as a result, farmers will face a shortage of pollination from wild bees. We suggest that farmers in these areas be aware of the effects of climate change on agricultural production and consider the use of managed bees in the future.
