STREAM - a lattice transport calculation code with method of characteristics for the purpose of light water reactor analysis - has been developed by the Computational Reactor Physics and Experiment laboratory (CORE) of the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). Recently, efforts have been taken to develop a photon module in STREAM to assess photon heating and the influence of gamma photon transport on power distributions, as only neutron transport was considered in previous STREAM versions. A multi-group photon library is produced for STREAM based on the ENDF/B-VII.1 library with the use of the library-processing code NJOY. The developed photon solver for the computation of 2D and 3D distributions of photon flux and energy deposition is based on the method of characteristics like the neutron solver. The photon library and photon module produced and implemented for STREAM are verified on VERA pin and assembly problems by comparison with the Monte Carlo code MCS - also developed at UNIST. A short analysis of the impact of photon transport during depletion and thermal hydraulics feedback is presented for a 2D core also from the VERA benchmark.

2008년 8월 대통령 소속의 도서관정보정책위원회는 "도서관발전종합계획"에서 '국가 지식정보 활용을 위한 국가도서관 체계 재정립'의 구체적인 추진과제의 하나로 국가를 대표하는 주제별 전문도서관(과학기술, 농학, 의학, 법률, 환경) 건립 등을 제시하였다. 이에 본 연구는 예비연구로 수행한 '주요 국가의 주제별 국가도서관 체계 및 격차 분석'에 기반하여 국가도서관의 주제별 체계화 모형(국립중앙도서관 중심의 집중형 체계화, 수평적 연계형 체계화, 중장기 전략형 체계화)을 정밀 검토하고 바람직한 방안을 제안하였다.

A human bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) library was constructed with high molecular weight DNA extracted from the blood of a male Korean. This Korean BAC library contains 100,224 clones of insert size ranging from 70 to 150 kb, with an average size of 86 kb, corresponding to a 2.9-fold redundancy of the genome. The average insert size was determined from 288 randomly selected BAC clones that were well distributed among all the chromosomes. We developed a pooling system and three-step PCR screen for the Korean BAC library to isolate desired BAC clones, and we confirmed its utility using primer pairs designed for one of the clones. The Korean BAC library and screening pools will allow PCR-based screening of the Korean genome for any gene of interest. We also determined the allele types of HLA-DRA and HLA-DRB3 of clone KB55453, located in the HLA class II region on chromosome 6p21.3. The HLA-DRA and DRB3 genes in this clone were identified as the DRA*010202 and DRB3*01010201 types, respectively. The haplotype found in this library will provide useful information in future human disease studies.

본 연구는 국립세종도서관의 건립에 따른 운영기본계획을 수립하여 도서관 개관 초기부터 차질 없는 운영이 가능하도록 하는데 목적을 두고 수행되었다. 국립세종도서관의 비전은 행정정책분야의 특성화 도서관으로 정립하며, 부수적으로 지역 주민을 위한 공공도서관의 일반적인 기능과 국립중앙도서관의 분산 보존서고의 역할을 겸하는 것으로 정리하였다. 이러한 역할에 충실하도록 본 연구에서는 국립세종도서관의 경영환경을 분석하고, 정책정보서비스 활성화 방안과 장서개발 계획을 제안하였다. 국립세종도서관의 비전과 내외부 환경분석을 위해 도서관 실무자들을 대상으로 면담조사를 하였으며, 정책정보서비스 활성화 전략을 모색하기 위해서 세종시 이전 부처의 공무원을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고, 그 결과를 분석하여 수록하였다.

국립중앙도서관은 국가대표도서관으로 국가문헌의 구축을 통한 지식문화유산의 보고이며 국가지식정보의 유통관리 및 제공을 위한 서비스 센터로서의 역할을 수행하여 왔다. 최근 도서관을 둘러싼 환경의 변화에 대응하기 위한 도서관의 변화를 촉구하는 목소리가 커지고 있다. 국립중앙도서관 역시 국가도서관으로서 도서관서비스의 미래 대응방안을 고민하고, 서비스 추진과제를 고민해야 할 시점이다. 본 연구는 국립중앙도서관의 서비스 방향수립 및 개선방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 국립중앙도서관 서비스 현황 및 이해관계자 요구분석, 국내외 도서관 정책분석, 국외 국가도서관 서비스 사례 분석을 실시하였다. 국가대표도서관으로서의 국립중앙도서관 서비스 발전방향에 대한 고민은 현재 다른 도서관의 서비스 발전방향에 대한 고민의 초석이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

The Long-Term Development Plan of the Pusan National University(PNU) has announced on 1991 in order to reach its roles and levels as an University with international standards, a Graduate School research-oriented and a core university in its community through accomplishment of this Plan. University libraries would be planned to support their universities' goals. Therefore the Library of PNU is facing on the task for supporting the Plan. The Collection for Korean Classical Materials (CKCM) is not limited in Korean Literature, Korean History, Korean Philosophy fields but covered the academic fields except a hightech science : Humanities, social science. pure science, applied science and arts etc. However, the Library of PNU does not have the organization, special librarian and budget for CKCM. Under this notion organization, budget and librarian for the collection would be followed. The CKCM contains the original editions, photography editions, copied issues. microform reproductions with comprehensive subjects in the fields of studies. Especially for the collection of treasure books the role of the Library of PNU induce to open individuals' collections or families' collections to public through the Library. The equipments for preserving rare books and treasure books are the conditioners for humidity and temperature, automatic extinguishment system. The reference materials, copy machine and reading room are requested for the user service of CKCM. The materials would be one of the most important thing in study and research. Therefore the Library of PNU need to pay attention to develop and preserve CKCM.

본 연구는 국가수준의 교육과정에 정보활용교육을 위한 "도서관과 정보활용" 교과를 삽입하고, "도서관과 정보활동" 교과의 교육과정에 도서관활용수업 및 도서관협력수업에 관한 사항을 명시함으로써 정보활용교육과 도서관협력수업을 제도적으로 정착시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 제7차 교육과정의 교과별 교육과정에 맞춰 교과의 성격, 교과의 목표, 내용 체계, 교수-학습 방법, 평가 방법, 도서관협력체계 등 6개 항목으로 나누어 도서관협력수업을 포함한 "도서관 정보활용" 교과의 교육과정 시안을 제시하였다.

하이브리드 도서관이라 함은 도서관이 소장하고 있는 모든 형태의 자료를 이용자가 통합적으로 이용할 수 있도록 제공해 주는 것이다. 따라서 디지탈시대에 국립도서관이 지향해야할 도서관의 형태가 있다면 이는 하이브리드도서관이라 하겠다. 하이브리드 도서관이 되기 위해서는 전통적인 매체 자료에 퍼한 장서수집정책과 더불어 전자출판물의 수집정책이 새롭게 조명되어야 한다. 이 논문에서는 전통적인 자료의 수집정책에 대한 언급은 생략하고 국내외에서 발간되고 있는 전자출판물의 출판동향을 제시하며 이들 자료를 국립중앙도서관의 문헌으로 수집할 수 있는 방안을 제시하는데 그 초점을 두고자 하였다.

This study is concerned with a tentative plan on an arrangement and a model of university library building which is the 2nd (branch) library of J. National University in North Jeonla province. At first, it is necessary to have built new library building for undergraduate student in J. National University. Secondary, I studied on the site problems, a model, size and an arrangement planning in this campus. Finally, at least, to install modernized facilities for this library have to require as follows: 1. General Reading Room 2. Reference Room 3. Basic Reading Room 4. Free Reading Room 5. Reserved Room 6. Periodical Room 7. Seminar and Group Study Room 8. Brousing Room 9. Smoking Room 10. Display Hall.

이 글의 목적은 우리나라 대학도서관정책의 외형과 속내를 들여다 보면서, 현재 대학도서관계가 당면해 있는 문제의 본질과 원인을 정책적 관점에서 밝혀내고, 향후 대학도서관정책의 건강성을 회복하기 위해 선결해야할 과제에 대해 논의하는데 있다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 첫째, 우리나라 대학도서관정책의 문제점을 정책의 로드맵인 '발전계획' 등을 통해 세밀히 검토하고, 둘째, 문제의 원인을 정책의 근간인 관련 법규와 제도, 정책추진체계의 핵심 요소인 정책기구, 행정조직, 전문직 단체 등의 역할과 기능을 통해 분석하며, 마지막으로, 우리나라 대학도서관정책이 제대로 서려면 정책의 내용과 추진체계에 있어 어떠한 개선책이 필요한지에 대해 제언하고 있다.
