The recycling end-of-life vehicles(ELVs) is specified in the Waste Disposal Act. Its main content is the system of asking the vehicle manufacturer and importing agents, who are responsible for recycling of the ELVs. The recycling task on ELVs was startedinitially in 1993. It is required that the manufacturers and importing agents deposit certain ratios of Waste Vehicle Disposal Fees proportional to the number of vehicle they manufacture and import into Taiwan under sales. • Venture business plays a great role in creating national competitive power in every country. In particular, software venture business can mostly belong to manufacturing business, and takes the top seat of core industry as the basis of globalization, informatization and localization as well as the driving force of national competitive power. However, software venture business still has some risks in the whole area of business administration including the process of business starting. There are also problems to be solved in such areas as manager's ability, leadership, talent, level of technical development, marketing channel, recruiting of marketing specialists, financial plan and fund raising. In this respect, this study divides 102 software venture businesses into two; business in the stage of growth and matured business through the analysis of questionnaire and analyzes their present managerial conditions according to their characteristics after classifying them into four categories such as general management, technical development, marketing, finance and accounting. Therefore, this study attempts to provide the basic data useful for business activities of software venture business from now on. The results are as follows; First, it can be judged that software venture businesses make efforts for their technical development in their character, and that they make a great investment in research and development. Consequently, it can be believed that this kind of investment must be continued in the future. Second, it can be seen that they are not much interested in marketing and its manpower. In fact, software venture businesses develop products technically at the risk of their life, while marketing plays an important role in the continuity of business. Thus, it is necessary for them to invest in the supplement of manpower in marketing. Third, it is observed that they generally have some difficulties in raising money from outside. By the way, it. is believed that this problem will be solved by appealing to the persons interested such as investors and creditors, if evaluation system would be developed more exquisitely so that their accounting and technical value may be appraised.

  • This study compares the most widely used parametric and non-parametric techniques to measure cost and profit efficiency of banks, namely the Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). We formulate the specification form of both stochastic cost and profit frontier models and constant return to scale Cost DEA and Profit DEA models and provide an empirical assessment of the cost and profit frontiers based on a panel dataset of National Commercial Banks (NCBs) and Private Banks (PBs) in Bangladesh over the 2001-2010 period. The cost inefficiency and profit efficiency are slightly higher for PBs than NCBs in case of both SFA and DEA. The coefficients of advance and off-balance sheet items are significant that positively influence the banks in stochastic cost frontier model while the advance, other earning assets, price of borrowed fund are significant and negative effects on the banks in stochastic profit frontier model. The average cost inefficiency and average profit efficiency are recorded with 16.3% and 91% respectively. The highest and lowest cost inefficiency are observed for Janata Bank and United Commercial Bank Limited whilst the highest and lowest profit efficiency are recorded for Eastern Bank Limited and Janata Bank respectively. The average technical and allocative efficiency are 68.8% and 35.9%, respectively in case of CRS cost-DEA model whereas they are 70.3% and 31.8% in case of CRS profit-DEA model. The average cost inefficiency is recorded 6.3% by SFA whereas it is 24.5% by DEA. The average profit efficiency is found 91% by SFA while it is 22.1% by DEA, and SFA method shows better bank efficiency than DEA.

  • Currently, the Ministry of Strategy and Finance operates performance evaluation of the IT projects of the central government. Recently, with the advent of the Digital New Deal and the Digital Platform Government, the budget for IT projects has significantly increased, leading to a higher level of interest in their performance. In this study, performance-related characteristics were selected through previous research, and an empirical analysis was conducted to examine whether there are actual differences in the performance of IT projects given respective characteristics. As a result of the analysis, new projects and others performed by departments or offices had a statistically significant positive effect on each final evaluation score. In contrast, IT support as well as fund-based projects had a statistically significant negative effect on each final evaluation score. This study suggests that when evaluating the performance of IT projects in the future, it is important to consider the unique characteristics of each project, as these may contribute to respective differences in performance.

  • Through the research, we found that the organizational systems of social enterprises in Europe have both properties of limited companies and stock companies in traditional organizational structures such as cooperatives, mutual companies and associations. However, social enterprises pursue interests of entire community, allowing the interested parties to join them in comparison with cooperatives. And for finance, most of the countries mainly use public fund such as national grants, but they are using more sales revenue. However, in our country the organizational systems of social enterprises have been introduced as the government and academic circles discussed expansion of social employment within a short period. So Korean enterprises tend to depend on national support rather than profitable activities for finance. Therefore, we need to develop a Korean convention or social agreement for the organizational systems of social enterprises. Furthermore, it is important for social enterprises to secure safe finance through development of social services and social cultures such as donation.

  • This paper investigates efficiency analysis to IT HRD programs in the dynamic perspective. First, empirical result shows that government fund of IT research center is significantly associated with SCI thesis and the more trial goods and SW development is connected with the more patent and technology transfer. Second, ITRC program has been operated efficiently since 2000. Finally, dynamic efficiency analysis implicates that ITRC program is more efficient than other IT SoC program and foreign student support program. The reason why ITRC program is more efficient is generated not from the effect of imitation by catch-up strategy to developed HRD programs, but new operation system introducing and utilizing HRD performance system.

Data were collected using self-administerd structured questionnaires and analyzed employing structural equation modelling techniques. This study found that three entrepreneurship variables(innovativeness, progressiveness and risk-taking) had positive direct effects on entrepreneurial intention and that three Government's entrepreneurial support policy variables (educational support, financial support and marketing support) had positive direct effects on entrepreneurship, whereas these three variables had positive indirect effects on entrepreneurial intention. The theoretical and practical implications of the findings were discussed and the directions for future research were suggested.

  • This paper is a case study on regional linkages of producer services in Chinju region. Producer service appeared as the most rapid growth sector in service industry. In Chinju region. manufacturing firms purchase generalized producer service within the region. However the higher-order service, they demand; the remoter metropolis especially Seoul, they depend on. Linkage patterns among manufacturing sectors are similar; but then the firms whose managers are from Chinju or Gyeong-nam region had stronger regional linkages than others. Public institute such as Chamber of Commerce & Industry, University Research Institute of Industrial Technology. Korea Technology Credit Guarantee Fund, Korea Silk Research Institute have made important role as suppliers of public producer services in Chinju Region. As present stage, their services of industrial technology, fiancing, and information are not only fit regional demand but also spatially limited within region. The facts that large firms purchase high-order services from other region and small firms have not good demand of producer service suggest regional policy implication about supplying relevant producer service in the region.
