회색가스 재조합에 의한 좁은밴드 회색가스가중합법을 이용한 3 차원 복사열전달 해석 연구 (3-Dimensional Radiative Transfer Analysis by Using the Narrow Band Based WSGGM with a Gray Gas Regrouping Technique)

  • The narrow band-averaged transmissivity of $CO_2-H_2O$ mixtures is expressed by multiplying the transmissivities of $CO_2$ and $H_2O$. Applying the multiplication property of narrow band transmissivities for gas mixtures of $CO_2-H_2O$, the number of gray gases, required for accurate representation of the absorption characteristics by using the narrow band based WSGGM, is significantly increased. To reduce the computational loads by reducing the number of gray gases, we propose a gray gas regrouping process where the gray gases used for the WSGGM are regrouped into a specified number of groups according to the magnitudes of absorption coefficients. To evaluate the proposed WSGGM for gas mixtures, the radiative transfer problems through three-dimensional gas media are considered. The radiative source terms and the radiative heat fluxes obtained by using the proposed method are fairly well compared to those obtained by using the SNB model. The regrouping technique results in an excellent computational efficiency with minor loss of accuracy.

  • 본 논문은 기존의 SC-FDE구조에 기반하여 협대역 재머 대응을 위한 새로운 SC-FDE 구조를 제안한다. 기존의 SC-FDE구조는 협대역 재머가 발생했을 시 높은 전력의 재밍 신호간섭에 의해 시간영역에서의 채널 추정이 어려워지고, 그로인해 데이터 복원 성능이 저하된다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 협대역 재머가 발생했을 시 채널추정이 가능한 SC-FDE 프레임 구조를 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 주파수영역에서 채널추정이 가능한 변형된 SC-FDE의 구조를 제안하며 그에 따른 성능을 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통해 검증하였다.

  • Engine is the main source of vibration that generates unwanted noise and vibration of vehicle chassis. Especially, in submarine applications, radiation of noise signatures can be detected at some distance away from the submarine using a sonar array. Thus quiet operation is crucial for submarine's survivability. This study addresses reduction of the force transmissibility originating from engines and transmitted to hull through engine mounts. An inertial damper, as an actuator of hybrid mount system, is addressed to reduce even further the level of vibration. Narrow band FxLMS algorithms are broadly used to cancel the vibration of engine mount because of its excellent performance of canceling narrow band noise. However, in real active dampers, the maximum displacement of damper mass is kinematically restricted. When the control input signal from the FxLMS algorithm exceeds this limitation, the damper mass will collide with the mechanical stops and results in many problems. Originated from these, a modified narrow band FxLMS algorithm based on the equalizer technique with the maximum allowable displacement of active damper mass is proposed in this study. Some simulation results showed that the propose algorithm is effective to suppress vibration of engine mount while ensuring given displacement constraint.

Seismic response of structures with a rocking seismic isolation system at their base under narrow-band earthquake loading

  • This study investigates a rocking seismic isolation (RSI) system as a seismic protection measure against narrow-band ground-motions generated by earthquakes. Structures supported over RSIs are considered capable of reducing the lateral demands and damage of the main structural system through lifting and rocking. This lifting and rocking during earthquake activity is provided by free-standing columns. A single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) system supported on a RSI system is subjected to narrow-band seismic motions and its response is compared to an analog system without RSI. The comparison is then extended to reinforced concrete linear frames with and without RSI; three-bay frames with 11 and 17 storeys are considered. It is found that the RSI systems significantly reduce acceleration and displacement demands in the main structural frames, more noticeably if the first structural mode dominates the response and for ratios of the predominant frequency of the ground motion to the predominant frequency of the main frame near one. It is also found that the RSI system is more effective in reducing lateral accelerations and displacements of the main structure when the aspect ratio, b/h, and size, R, of the free-standing columns decrease, although the rocking stability of the RSI system is also reduced.

굴절체를 이용하여 감지 사각 문제를 개선한 협대역 마일즈 감지 시스템 (A Narrow Band MILES Detection System With Reduced Blind Angle of Detection Using Refractors)

  • 본 논문에서는 협대역 간섭 광학 필터(narrow band interference optical filter)를 적용하여 광학적 잡음에 내성이 강한 차세대용 마일즈 감지 시스템을 구현하고자 시도하였다. 900nm의 레이저 파장에 대해 파장범위(wavelength range) 895~915nm의 협대역 간섭 광학 필터를 적용한 결과 시가전 상황에서 발생할 수 있는 강한 광학적 잡음에 내성을 갖는 감지 특성을 얻을 수 있었다. 그러나 청색천이(blue shift) 현상에 의해 마일즈 감지 시스템에 입사각 $30^{\circ}{\sim}90^{\circ}$ 구간에 감지 사각 영역이 발생하였다. 이 문제를 해결하기위해 굴절체를 이용한 입사각 산란 방법을 제안하였고, 디옵터 5.4의 오목 메니스커스 렌즈 굴절체(concave meniscus lens refractor)를 마일즈 감지 시스템에 적용하여 입사각을 산란시킨 결과 감지 사각을 없앨 수 있었다.

협대역 고출력 전자기파로 인한 CMOS IC에서의 오동작 특성 연구 (A Study on Malfunction Mode of CMOS IC Under Narrow-Band High-Power Electromagnetic Wave)

  • This study examined the malfunction mode of the HCMOS IC under narrow-band high-power electromagnetic wave. Magnetron is used to a narrow-band electromagnetic source. MFR (malfunction failure rate) was measured to investigate the HCMOS IC. In addition, we measured the resistance between specific pins of ICs, which are exposed and not exposed to the electromagnetic wave, respectively. As a test result of measurement, malfunction mode is shown in three steps. Flicker mode causing a flicker in LED connected to output pin of IC is dominant in more than 7.96 kV/m electric field. Self-reset mode causing a voltage drop to the input and output of IC during electromagnetic wave radiation is dominant in more than 9.1 kV/m electric field. Power-reset mode making a IC remained malfunction after electromagnetic radiation is dominant in more than 20.89 kV/m. As a measurement result of pin-to-pin resistance of IC, the differences between IC exposed to electromagnetic wave and normal IC were minor. However, the five in two hundred IC show a relatively low resistance. This is considered to be the result of the breakdown of pn junction when latch-up in CMOS occurred. Based on the results, the susceptibility of HCMOS IC can be applied to a basic database to IC protection and impact analysis of narrow-band high-power electromagnetic waves.

협대역 재머 대응과 파일럿 오버헤드 감소를 위한 새로운 SC-FDE 전송구조 (A New SC-FDE Transmission Structure for Coping with Narrow Band Jammers and Reducing Pilot Overhead)

  • 본 논문에서는 파일럿으로 발생하는 파일럿 오버헤드를 감소시키면서 협대역 간섭신호 혹은 재머에 대응할 수 있는 새로운 SC-FDE (single carrier frequency domain equalization) 구조를 제안한다. 기존의 SC-FDE 구조는 협대역 재머가 존재할 때 시간영역 채널 추정이 어려워 수신기의 성능이 저하되는 단점이 있다. 또한 매 SC-FDE마다 채널추정을 위한 파일럿을 전송하여 스펙트럼 효율이 저하되는 문제도 있다. 이와 같은 문제를 해결하기 위해 제안된 구조는 시간영역 채널 추정 없이 곧바로 주파수 영역 채널 추정을 수행할 수 있도록 설계된다. 또한 파일럿 오버헤드를 감소시키기 위해서 두 개의 파일럿 사이에 여러 개의 SC-FDE 데이터 블록을 전송하고, 두 개의 파일럿을 이용한 선형 보간 채널 추정을 통해 각 데이터 블록에서의 채널 특성을 찾는다. 이렇게 구한 채널 추정값을 사용하여 주파수 영역 등화를 수행하면 협대역 재머가 있는 상황에서도 재머 제거와 함께 안정적인 등화가 가능하다. 제안하는 구조의 성능은 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통해 확인한다.

Artificial Intelligence-Based Colorectal Polyp Histology Prediction by Using Narrow-Band Image-Magnifying Colonoscopy

  • Background/Aims: We have been developing artificial intelligence based polyp histology prediction (AIPHP) method to classify Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) magnifying colonoscopy images to predict the hyperplastic or neoplastic histology of polyps. Our aim was to analyze the accuracy of AIPHP and narrow-band imaging international colorectal endoscopic (NICE) classification based histology predictions and also to compare the results of the two methods. Methods: We studied 373 colorectal polyp samples taken by polypectomy from 279 patients. The documented NBI still images were analyzed by the AIPHP method and by the NICE classification parallel. The AIPHP software was created by machine learning method. The software measures five geometrical and color features on the endoscopic image. Results: The accuracy of AIPHP was 86.6% (323/373) in total of polyps. We compared the AIPHP accuracy results for diminutive and non-diminutive polyps (82.1% vs. 92.2%; p=0.0032). The accuracy of the hyperplastic histology prediction was significantly better by NICE compared to AIPHP method both in the diminutive polyps (n=207) (95.2% vs. 82.1%) (p<0.001) and also in all evaluated polyps (n=373) (97.1% vs. 86.6%) (p<0.001) Conclusions: Our artificial intelligence based polyp histology prediction software could predict histology with high accuracy only in the large size polyp subgroup.

유전체 공진기를 이용한 대역통과 여과기의 설계와 고찰 (Design and Inquiry of Band-pass Filter Using the Dielectric Resonator)

  • This paper describes the design of band-pass filter using the dielectric resonator and microstrip line depends mainly upon the magnetic field and is principal parameter as band-pass filter. Because dielectric resonator band~pass filter has a very high-Q, the bandwidth of this filter is very narrow. as a result of experiment, the dielectric resonator bandwidth of this filter is very narrow. As a result of experiment, the dielectric resonator band-pase filter has various modes central frequencies due to the mode change and good characteristric as a band-pass filter.
