With the globalization of the film industry, ethnic minority films have been developed and studied by many scholars for their special ethnic representation. The film "Tharlo" directed by Pema Tseden carefully explores the identity anxiety of a Tibetan shepherd. Through the connection and separation between the protagonist and traditional culture, it shows a complexity of modern ethnic identity for minority people. This study explores what kind of cinematic techniques and symbolic elements the director uses to shape ordinary characters, build a narrative space, and show ethnic representation. This paper puts forward a theoretical framework combining cinematic quantitative methods with qualitative narrative and semiotic analysis, aiming to deepen our understanding of cinematic techniques and ethnic representation, and provides a new perspective and profound insights for discussing the complexity faced by ethnic minorities in contemporary films. This study finds that Tseden's "Tharlo" successfully portrays the complex transformation of Tibetan cultural identity in the context of globalization and modernization through cinematic techniques such as fixed camera positions, long take and black-and-white cinematography, combined with the use of symbolic elements like mirrors, lambs and identity cards.

In film various techniques interact organically in order to bring a story to life and, by doing so, influence the audience's perception. The techniques composing the form of a film are part of a format-system and therefore have to be well adjusted to the content of the film to trigger an intended effect. It is then that these techniques boost the intensity of the audience's emotional experience. The subject of analysis in this study of aesthetic composition, which is part of the concept of visual narrative, is the movie "Silence", which depicts a disturbing story based on real events. The goal of this study is the analysis of composition techniques used to support the film's narrative structure, where elaborate frame-composition and techniques are applied with great efficiency. Another goal is also to illustrate the meaning of film-format and its importance. Looking deeper into the question of how meaning and emotions, which are inherent in a film, finally manifest themselves on screen through a single shot, where the cinematographer's ideas and aesthetic vision come together and also the question of how a narrative structure in the context of a film works- these questions are the essence of this study.

In the 21th century, audiences were fascinated with stereoscopic 3d in the theaters again. Since 2009, interest in stereoscopic 3D had been increased explosively, but shortfall in stereoscopic 3D contents is yet to be solved. However, despite shaky conditions in broadcasting businesses, stereoscopic 3D movies are released steadily in Hollywood. And the movies with strong storytelling are performing in the film market, so common point among them is that stereoscopic 3d techniques are used for subserving narrative immersion effectively. Therefore, stereoscopic 3D techniques will be helpful for enhancing narrative immersion. So I researched relations between immersion and stereoscopic 3D, and proposed space planning process for enhancing narrative immersion in stereoscopic 3D.

Fashion is a product of form expressing the socio-cultural mood and aesthetic value of an age. Owing to development of the mass media and diversification of arts under the influence of post-modernism in the 20th century, fashion has been more briskly expressed to be presented to the people. With such basic conceptions in mind, this study was aimed at reviewing the fashion photography as visual medium. To this end, visual narrative techniques were analyzed and thereupon, Philip-Lorca diCorcia's fashion photography was examined. This study reviews such visual narrative techniques by dividing into visual and non-visual elements and thereby, examines the three-fold aspects of fashion photography expressions : Representative Level, Ground Level and Context Level. Also this study focuses on Philip-Lorca diCorcia's fashion photography in 'W magazine' which features portfolio form. This study analyzed the visual narratives shown in fashion photography and thereby, expand in diverse ways the fixed images of the conventional fashion photography commercials featuring beautiful models and exquisite costumes, and additionally, determined that fashion photography must be a kind of expression tool which could express not only the simple fashion but also the socio-psychological elements inherent in fashion.

The purpose of this study is to help self-healing by identifying self-description by utilizing the self-description diagnosis of literary therapy and the resonance of the work narrative. Therefore, the research was conducted through the methodology of literature therapy, which uses the self-introduction team of literary therapy and basic photography team to understand their own narrative and to heal themselves through resonance with the work narrative. Through this study, we understood that it is possible to understand and identify and understand one's psychological problems through self-description and self-culture techniques. This case study revealed that it can be used as a new technique for understanding self-description by applying the methodology of literary therapy and for healing self-exploration through resonance with the work narrative.

This study is to design and implement Smartphone application by applying the principles and processes of narrative therapy for the participants. The application is able for participants to fight out of the difficulty in question centered on the issue, and to be able to find a positive new stories to be evolving the story of their lives as well. Therefore, using the application will help them to live a healthier life out of the problems. As a way of currying the wounded heart of the youth, narrative therapy techniques were applied to Smartphone appliances accustomed to the youth. The youths' wounded minds will not only be easily cured but also can be a important factor in determining the direction of life. In this study, narrative flow was structured into four stages; relationships, externalization, creating new stories and strengthening the new story bsed on Doll & Doll' theory. Based on them, the Smartphone application for curing the wounded heart was designed and developed by utilizing narrative therapy techniques. The application was tested by 30 University students in Jeonbuk province in Korea and the results showed that they were satisfied with the application with relation to improving their heart health.

Visual narrative or storytelling involve two important aspects of the cognitive perception: the conscious and subconscious. Color is one of the cognitive storytelling elements, its interpretation is captured by the subconscious and it is considered an emotional resource due to its psychological background. On the other hand, the character is also part of cognitive perception and storytelling tool, but this is interpreted consciously, character is considered as a logical resource. Ghibli and Disney have organized their cinematographic techniques in different ways, so it would be unfair to say that one narrative style is better than the other, it depends of perception of beauty which varies according to society. However the present study seeks to determine the differences between Ghibli and Disney narrative style, taking as reference color. Ghibli and Disney are perfect example about color effects as a storytelling agent, It can be classified in two aspects: dynamics of color and color as a narrative sequence. The dynamics of color analyzes how color acts and is perceived into a stage, its meaning and symbolism regardless of the character's actions. The narrative sequence studies how color thermologic evolves in scene's development.

Comics uses words to convey its content and meaning, while the comic image conveys the content as a narrative function to represent how language is combined with the text. This paper makes a comparison and analysis of the comics of Japan and South Korea, in terms of words and image expression, narrative techniques, and the way of communication, to study the characteristics of image narrative. The comic image of Jing ke is the other as a flow of narrative and getting rid of the current screen, to resonate with the readers. Go U-yeong's comics and Sumeragi Natsuki's set up a virtual narrative time and space through the line, surface, space and shade, to realize the reproduction of unhistorical facts and the significance of narrative with the artist's imagination. Sumeragi Natsuki's comics uses historical facts to represent exquisite narrative like still-life paintings. She focuses on the description of the objective facts of history, to seek the sensitive comic image beyond reality. The image narration of Go U-yeong's comics is a clash between his historical narrative among the subjective romantic image and the readers' awareness narrative flow that they insist inside. Therefore, he tries to keep balance. The instant image in his comics is not a reproduction of the historical real moment, but a reproduction image of the reality reconstructed by his own pursuit of narrative.

The aim of this article was to review age-dependent clinical recommendations for appropriate root canal instrumentation techniques. A comprehensive narrative review of canal morphology, the structural characteristics of dentin, and endodontic outcomes at different ages was undertaken instead of a systematic review. An electronic literature search was carried out, including the Medline (Ovid), PubMed, and Web of Science databases. The searches used controlled vocabulary and free-text terms, as follows: 'age-related root canal treatment,' 'age-related instrumentation,' 'age-related chemo-mechanical preparation,' 'age-related endodontic clinical recommendations,' 'root canal instrumentation at different ages,' 'geriatric root canal treatment,' and 'pediatric root canal treatment.' Due to the lack of literature with practical age-based clinical recommendations for an appropriate root canal instrumentation technique, a narrative review was conducted to suggest a clinical algorithm for choosing the most appropriate instrumentation technique during root canal treatment. Based on the evidence found through the narrative review, an age-related clinical algorithm for choosing appropriate instrumentation during root canal treatment was proposed. Age affects the morphology of the root canal system and the structural characteristics of dentin. The clinician's awareness of root canal morphology and dentin characteristics can influence the choice of instruments for root canal treatment.

Fashion pictorials are recognized as another form of communication method beyond the concept of simply providing information or being artistic photography. Therefore, it is believed that there is necessity to know methods of making a strong impression on people's conscience by effective usage of various presentation techniques that can be used in fashion pictorials. This research studied characteristics of closed form and open form of Wolfflin's precept of forms presented in scene construction. Depaysement technique was classified into three classes which are alien transportation of a part, deformation and ambivalence of an image through literature review of depaysement presentation technique. After studying the concept and characteristics of narrative applicable as the open form, Annie Leibovitz's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" published in an actual fashion magazine was analyzed as an empirical study based on the theoretical research. Through this study, potential of applying depaysement technique as a presentation technique of closed form and narrative as a presentation technique of open form on fashion pictorials was identified. Factors that infuse creativity and achieve uniformity in producing fashion pictorials were shown through analysis of actual fashion pictorials.
