ATM 스위치 제어를 위한 확장된 GSMP 프로토콜의 설계 및 구현 (A Design nd Implementation of the Extended GSMP Protocol for the Control of on an ATM Switch)

  • IETF에서는 레이블 스위치의 제어를 위하여 개방형 인터페이스로 GSMP 프로토콜에 대한 표준화를 진행 중에 있다. GSMP 프로토콜은 연결, 구성, 장애, 성능, 관리 기능과 동기화 기능이 정의되어 있다. GSMP에는 ATM 스위치의 운용 및 유지보수를 위하여 요구되는 ATM-Forum 규격의 M4에 정의되어 있는 관리 기능들이 충분히 정의되어 있지 않다. 본 논문에서는 ATM 스위치의 운용 및 유지보수가 가능하도록 GSMP 프로토콜을 M4 규격에 준하도록 확장하여 GSMP*로 정의하였으며, GSMP*의 컨트롤러 기능을 웹 기반의 원격 제어가 가능하도록 구현하였다.

VoIP 상에서 다양한 응용 서비스 트래픽에 따른 종단간 사용자의 음성 트래픽 지연 변화 연구 (A Study of the delay pattern of voice traffic for end-to-end users on the voice IP)

  • In this paper we study the delay patterns of voice traffic for end-to-end users Caused by serving the whole bunch of applications traffic at the same time on the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network. Given the current situation that voice traffic is served along with other application services on the VoIP network, it is quite necessary to figure out how and by what the voice traffic requiring high QoS is delayed. We compare the delay performance of voice traffic on the VoIP network under FIFO with the one under Weighted Fair Queuing(WFQ), and discover the differences of the delay performance resulting from the use of different voice codec algorithms. The results of our study show that using the voice codec algorithm with a higher coding rate nd the queuing algorithm of WEQ can provide users with high-quality voice traffic.

Chromosomal Localization of Korean Cattle (Hanwoo) BAC Clones via BAC end Sequence Analysis

  • In this study, a Korean native cattle strain (Hanwoo) evidencing high performance in terms of both meat quality and quantity was employed in the generation of 150,000 BAC clones with an average insert size of 140 kb, and corresponding to about a 6X coverage of bovine chromosomal DNA. The BAC clones were pooled in a mini-scale via three rounds of a pooling protocol, and the efficiency of this pooling protocol was evaluated by testing the accuracy of accessibility to the positive clones, via a PCR-based screening method. Two sets of primers designed from each of two known genes were tested, and each yielded 2 or 3 positive clones for each gene, thereby indicating that the BAC library pooling system was appropriate with regard to the accession of the target BAC clones. Analyses of $3.3{\times}10^6$ base pairs obtained from the 7,090 BAC end sequence (BES) showed that 34.88% of the DNA sequence harbored the repetition sequence. Analysis of the 7,090 BES to the $1^{st}$ and $2^{nd}$ generation radiation hybrid map of the cattle genome, using the COMPASS program designed for the construction of a cattle-human comparative mapping, resulted in the localization of a total of 1,374 clones proximal to 339 $1^{st}$ generation markers, and 1,721 clones proximal to 664 $2^{nd}$ generation markers. Collectively, the BAC library and pooling system of the BAC clones from the Korean cattle, coupled with the chromosome-localized BAC clones, will provide us with novel tools for the excavation of desired clones for genome mapping and sequencing, and will also furnish us with additional information regarding breed differences in cattle.

밀링 공구의 마모가 PMMA 임플란트 임시보철물 변연 및 내면적합도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of milling tool wear on the internal fit of PMMA implant interim prosthesis)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of CAD/CAM system milling tool wear on the marginal and internal fit of PMMA implant interim prosthesis three-dimensional manner. Methods: A total of 20 crowns were fabricated with CAD/CAM method. Their designs were unified to first molar of the left maxilla. The Customized abutments were prepared and scanned with on optical model scanner. Five crowns were milled by the newly replaced tool (1st milling), and 15 crowns were milled by 2nd, 3rd, 4th milling tool. The marginal and internal fit of 20 interim crowns were measured using the triple-scan protocol. Results: Statistically significant difference was found between the $1^{st}$ milling group ($51.8{\pm}14.6{\mu}m$) and the $3^{rd}$, $4^{th}$ milling group ($128.6{\pm}43.8{\mu}m$, $146.2{\pm}38.1{\mu}m$, respectively) at the distal margins. In the mesial margins, There was a statistically significant difference between the $1^{st}$ milling group ($63.6{\pm}25.9{\mu}m$) and the $3^{rd}$, $4^{th}$ milling group ($137.2{\pm}25.9{\mu}m$, $186.8{\pm}70.6{\mu}m$, respectively). In the distal line angle, significant difference was found between the $1^{st}$, $2^{nd}$, $3^{rd}$ milling groups and the $4^{th}$ milling group. In the mesial axial wall, significant difference was found between the $1^{st}$ milling group ($52.2{\pm}20.3{\mu}m$) and the $3^{rd}$, $4^{th}$ milling groups ($22.8{\pm}8.8{\mu}m$, $7.8{\pm}5.7{\mu}m$). Conclusion: As a result of the experiment, decrease of the marginal and internal fit was statistically significant as the number of machining cycles increased. In order to produce clinically excellent restorations, it is recommandable to consider the condition of the milling tool wear, when designing the restoration with CAD program.

G-PON TC 계층을 위한 이더넷 정합기의 구현 (Implementation of an Ethernet Adapter for the G-PON TC Layer)

  • G-PON은 FTTH를 효율적으로 구현하는 한 방편이며 이더넷, IP 패킷, TDM 신호 등을 수용할 수 있는 GEM 프레임을 가지고 있다. 그 중에서도 이더넷은 캠퍼스 가입자 액세스, 캐리어 서비스에 있어서 가장 널리 사용되는 제 2 계층 프로토콜이므로 G-PON 시스템은 이더넷 인터페이스를 우선적으로 제공해 주어야 한다. 본 논문은 G-PON TC 칩에서 이더넷 프로토콜을 수용하기 위해 ITU-T G984.3에서 제시한 Ethernet over GEM 규격을 바탕으로 기가급의 이더넷 정합기를 구현한다. 정합기는 각각의 이더넷 프레임을 하나 또는 여러 개의 GEM 프레임에 매핑하고 GEM 헤더 생성, 프레임의 캡슐화, 분할 및 재조립 기능을 가진다. 특히, 구현된 정합기는 규격에는 없지만 중요한 기능인 MAC 주소를 논리적 연결을 확인하는데 역할을 하는 port-ID로 바꾸어 주는 변환기를 내장하고 있다. 이 정합기는 FPGA로 구현되며 논리분석기와 이더넷 분석기를 이용하여 프레임 분할과 조립, 주소 학습 기능과 처리율 등을 확인한다.

옥수수 유망자식계통들의 잡종집단에서 주요 농업형질들의 유전분석 (Genetic Studies of Major Agronomic Traits in Hybrid Populations of Maize Inbred Lines.)

  • 본 연구는 교잡종 옥수수의 품종개발 및 옥수수의 생산능력 방법을 개선하기 위한 기초연구로 미국에서 도입된 유망자식계통들을 이용한 5개의 교배조합들 그리고 이들의 F$_1$ 및 F$_2$ 세대에서 6개의 농업형 질들에 대한 유전양상을 구명하였다. 공시된 5개의 교배조합들과 조사된 6개의 농업형질들에서의 잡종강세효과는 교배조합 및 농업형질들에 따라 다소 차이는 있었지만 교배조합들 중에서는 Mo17/B14A, Va85/B73조합들이 조사된 대부분의 형질들에서 가장 뚜렷한 잡종강세 효과를 나타내었으며 , 그리고 조사된 6개의 농업형질들 중에서는 종자생산량이 교배조합들 사이에서 가장 큰 잡종강세 효과를 나타내었다. 조사된 6개의 농업형질들 중에서 종자생산량은 5개의 교배 조합들 중에서 C103/ND203과 FR35/Oh43 조합을 제외한 나머지 조합들에서 자식약세 현상이 다른 형질들보다 가장 크게 나타났고, 그리고 이들 수량관련 형질들은 일부 교배조합들에서의 예외적 경우를 제외하면 모두 정의 방향으로 자식 약세 현상이 나타나는 것으로 관찰되었다. 공시된 5개의 교배조합들 중에서 Mo17/B14A, C103/ND203 조합들은 조사된 6개의 농업형질들 모두에서 50%이상의 비교적 높은 유전성을 나타내었고, 반면에 Va85/B73 조합은 100립 중을 제외한 모든 형질들에서, 그리고 FR35/Oh43 조합은 간장과 착수고를 제외한 모든 형질들에서 50% 이하의 낮은 유전력을 나타내었다. 그리고 조사된 6개의 농업형질들 중에서 이삭길이를 제외한 모든 형질들은 5개의 교배조합들 모두에서 평균 유전력이 50% 이상을 나타내었으므로 이러한 형질들은 옥수수의 교잡육종을 위한 중요한 선발형질들임을 나타내었다 이상의 결과에 의하면, 본 연구에 이용된 5개의 교배 조합들 중에서 대비 조합으로 쓰인 Mo17/B14A(수원19호)조합은 조사된 대부분의 형질들에서 비교적 높은 생육 및 수량특성을 나타내었으므로 옥수수의 계통선발에 의한 품종육성에 유용한 품종 및 자원인 것으로 확인되었다.

예비초등교사들의 시스템사고 능력 및 특성에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Abilities and Characteristics of the Systems Thinking for Pre-service Elementary Teachers)

  • This study focused on the analysis of the abilities and characteristics of the systems thinking for pre-service elementary teachers. Systems thinking is defined as the ability to see the world as a complex system in which one understands that everything is connected to everything else. For this study, 345 subjects carrying of the 2nd grade were selected and participated in making out the protocol developed by Sweeney and Sterman(2000) for the estimating ability of the systems thinking. As a result, the proportion of the correct answers based on the total points of view was 63%. However, the proportion of correct answer was considerably different according to the gender. The women group showed 53%, while the men group was 76%. Especially, there was a great difference in the rates of correct answer depending on their academic tracks of the humanities or natural science courses in the high school. The average rates of the correct answers for the natural science and the human science were 84 and 46%, respectively. Consequently, the ability of the systems thinking for pre-service elementary teachers is highly related with their gender and learning experience in the high school. The results of this study may contribute the practical use of the systems thinking in the area of the science education.

기관 흡인술 유형에 따른 인공호흡기 적용 환자의 기관 내 균집락화와 폐렴 발생률 (Endotracheal Colonization and Ventilator-associated Pneumonia in Mechanically Ventilated Patients according to Type of Endotracheal Suction System)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify endotracheal colonization and the incidence of ventilator-associated pneumonia related to the type of endotracheal suction system. Methods: The participants in this study were ICU patients hospitalized between October 2009 to March 2010 who used ventilators for over 48 hr with closed (CSS, n=30) or open (OSS, n=32) suction systems. To standardize the pre-intervention suction system, a suctioning protocol was taught to the ICU nurses. Collected data were analyzed using ${\chi}^2$-test, Fisher's exact test, Wilcoxon rank sums test, Wilcoxon test, Log-rank test and Poisson regression. Results: Endotracheal colonization was higher in OSS than CSS from day 1 to day 8 while using a ventilator and there was a significant difference between the two groups. The CSS reached 50% of endotracheal colonization by the 4th day, whereas for the OSS, it was the 2nd day (p=.04). The incidence of ventilator-associated pneumonia showed no significant difference. Conclusion: For patients with a high risk of pneumonia, CSS must be used to lower endotracheal colonization.

통합해사협약의 제정과 경과 (A Study on the Establishment and Progress of the Consolidated Maritime Labour Convention)

  • Between 1920 and 1996, a total of 39 Conventions, 29 Recommendations and one Protocol were adopted by the International Labour conference. But Many ILO Instruments were outdated, deficient and not reflective of modern practice, many contained technical detail which discouraged ratification and were thus ineffective. However, many issues which had become relevant were not covered by existing instruments. Therefore, the Governing Body of ILO, at its 262nd Session(March-April 1995), decided to set up a Working Party on Policy regarding the Revision of Standards. It was decided that the Working Party would examine the need for revision of all maritime Conventions and Recommendations adopted before 1985 with a view to rejuvenating and strengthening the standard-setting system. The Working Party initiated its examination of maritime instruments during 273rd Session(November 1998) of the Governing Body. The review made by the Working Party has concluded that of the maritime Conventions examined, seven of them are obsolete and should be revised, 13 should be denounced and six were considered either up to date or were identified for promotion, most of which were approved by the Governing Body. The consolidated maritime labour convention will be adopted in February 2006.

  • In order to comply with the global energy crisis and environment problem, it is necessary to research and develop the energy utilization technology with the reduction of the primary energy usage. Although the increasing rate of energy consumption started to attenuate, the entire consumption of energy as well as $CO_2$ emission rate tends to increase steadily along with an economic growth in Korea. The energy demand in Korea increases by annual 3.7% during the period from 2000 to 2006. And it is expected that we should take a charge of the greenhouse gas reduction obligation by the Climatic Change Convention(Kyoto Protocol) during the 2nd pledge period($2013{\sim}2017$). According to the IEA report in 2005, the emission amount of carbon dioxide is the 10th place in the world, and the increasing rate is 4.7% annually. Considering the economic scale of Korea, the degradation of energy usage is inevitable when the greenhouse gas reduction obligation come into effect. Therefore, effective energy usage is a very important issue to minimize baneful influence on industrial and economic activities.
