A Study on Remote Control of Multi DNC Network (Multi DNC Network의 구축에 관한 연구)

  • The present so many systems are used by evolution of Program to expel DNC(Direct Numerical Control) Network Infra for many CNC Controller. However, these systems is an inefficiency side in case of mutual connection at a long distance between Server Computer and Machining center Also, the machining center have so many controversial points in data transmission-receiver from the NC data server. So, this thesis well constructed the remote control system from CNC(Computer Numerical Control) Controller to CAD/CAM Server Computer. This system have some kinds of merits. Firstly. the machining center's user can easily use the saved NC data transmission from the CAD/CAM Server Secondly, the remote control is possible without the mutual conversation between the CAD/CAM Server and the machining center.

Optimal Tool Length Computation of NC Data for 5-axis Ball-ended Milling (5축 볼엔드밀 가공 NC 데이터의 최적 공구 길이 계산)

  • The paper presents an efficient computation of optimal tool length for 5-axis mold & die machining. The implemented procedure processes an NC file as an initial input, where the NC data is generated by another commercial CAM system. A commercial CAM system generates 5-axis machining NC data which, in its own way, is optimal based on pre-defined machining condition such as tool-path pattern, tool-axis control via inclination angles, etc. The proper tool-length should also be provided. The tool-length should be as small as possible in order to enhance machinability as well as surface finish. A feasible tool-length at each NC block can be obtained by checking interference between workpiece and tool components, usually when the tool-axis is not modified at this stage for most CAM systems. Then the minimum feasible tool-length for an NC file consisting of N blocks is the maximum of N tool-length values. However, it can be noted that slight modification of tool-axis at each block may reduce the minimum feasible tool-length in mold & die machining. This approach can effectively be applied in machining feature regions such as steep wall or deep cavity. It has been implemented and is used at a molding die manufacturing company in Korea.

  • Presented in this paper are a CAPP(Computer Automated Process Planning) scheme and a generating method of intelligent NC data for unmaned machining of mold die. Mold die surfaces usually have free-formed geometry of complex shapes. So it is easy to overcut the die surface and to overload the cutting tools. It takes tens of hours to prepare process plans and to generate NC data for each processes. Therefore a classification of unit machining operation(UMO) for mold die manufacture, a backward recursive capp algorithm and a generating method of intelligent NC data are presented in this paper in order to provide a unmaned machining architecture of mold die.

  • This paper presents a method of grinding and polishing automation of precision die after CNC machining. The method employs a robot system equipped with a pneumatic spindle and a special abrasive film pad. The robote program is automatically generated off-line from a PC and downloaded to robot controller. Position and orientation data for the program is supplied from cutter contact (CC) data of NC machining process. This eliminates separate robot teaching process. This paper aims at practical automation of die finishing process which is very time consuming and suffering from shortage of workpeople. Time loss for changeover from one product to next is eliminated by off-line programming exploiting appropriate NC machining data. Dextrous 6-axis robot with rigid wrist and simple tooling enables the process applicable to larger, rather complex 3 dimensional free surfaces

  • In this paper, we propose unique CAM system for personal computer that can define the geometric shape in an ease manner and to machine the sculptured surfaces of a mold cavity. In this CAM system, if a user inputs simple initial information such as the control points for a shape definition and a radius of tool etc., all of the procedures for machining will be processed automatically by the CAM system as well as NC commands and simulations. In addition to this, the environment of the CAM system is composed of "C" language for an easy extention of aditional modules. Also, the CAM system with the following characteristics was developed. 1. The optimum tool path satisfying given tolerance limits reduces the time for the high precision machining of sculptured surface in a mold cavity. 2. The generated NC commands can be transmitted to NC directly by the CAM system through RS-232C from PC.C from PC.

  • NC (Numerical Control) code for the tool path needs to be generated efficiently for machining of free form pockets with arbitrary wall geometry on a three axis CNC machine. The unified rough and finish cut algorithm and the tool motion is graphically simulated in Part 1. In this paper, a grid based 3D navigation algorithm simulated in Part 1 for generating NC tool path data for both linear interpolation and a combination of linear and circular interpolation for three-axis CNC milling of general pockets with sculptured bottom surfaces is experimentally performed and verified.

  • 본 논문은 판재를 다루는 제조업에서 제품생산에 필요한 부재 절단작업도와 NC절단기 제어용 부재 절단 NC 데이터파일을 생성해 주는 네스팅시스템을 웹상에서 구현하고 이를 유료로 활용할 수 있도록 지원하는 인터넷 비즈니스의 한 방법을 제안한다. 웹에서 운용되는 네스팅시스템은 비주얼스튜디오 닷넷(VS.NET)을 개발툴을 사용하며 서버의 과부하를 최소화하고 클라이언트를 최대한 활용할 수 있도록 NEST서버, NEST 클라이언트, 데이터베이스서버 그리고 이들을 연결해주는 커뮤니케이션 인터페이스로 구성되어 있다. NEST 서버에서는 부재의 자동배치기능, 부재의 NC 절단데이터 생성을 위한 CAM기능, NC 포스트프로세서기능이 실행되며 NEST 클라이언트에서는 부재 및 판재 정의기능, 부재 반자동배치기능, 각종 결과의 출력기능 등이 수행된다.

  • 본 논문에서는 OFDM 시스템에서 사용되는 부 반송파의 수와 동일한 길이의 complementary code를 사용하여 각 부 반송파 데이터를 frequency 영역에서 scrambling하는 PAPR 감소 방안을 제안한다. 이 방법은 부 반송파의 수와 동일한 길이의 complementary code 집합을 이용하여 주어진 데이터에 부과해서 PAPR 값이 가장 적은 complementary code를 사용하여 scrambled된 데이터를 송신함으로서 PAPR 값을 감소시키는 방법이다. 수신기에서의 복호를 위하여 Nc개의 complementary code에 해당하는 log2Nc 비트의 code 인덱스를 데이터와 함께 전송한다. 이때 code 인덱스 비트가 PAPR 값에 영향을 주지 않도록 하기 위하여 CODE인덱스와 데이터가 함께 complementary code로 scrambling되어진다. 제안된 이 방법을 사용하면 주파수 대역효율을 높이면서 PAPR 값을 크게 줄일 수 있다.

  • DNC(Direct Numerical Control) Network을 위한 프로그램을 효율적으로 하기 위해 현재 많은 시스템들이 개발되어 사용되고 있다. 그러나 이 시스템들은 원거리 상의 컴퓨터와 머시닝 센터의 제어기 간의 상호 연결이 원만하지 않아 작업에 비효율적인 면이 있고, 또 머시닝 센터에서의 데이터 송ㆍ수신에서 일어나는 오류 문제에 대한 시스템으로의 적절한 대처를 할 수가 없다는 문제점이 있다. 그래서, 본 논문에서는 DNC Network을 통해 머시닝 센터 제어기에서 컴퓨터의 데이터를 오류 없이 수신 가능한 데이터 원격 제어 시스템을 새로이 구성하였다. 이 데이터 원격 제어 시스템의 주요 장점으로는 기존에 일방향으로 구동되어지던 머시닝센터와 컴퓨터간의 Communication을 머시닝 센터에서 운영자가 자유로이 접근하여 컴퓨터에 저장된 NC 가공 데이터 호출과 송출이 자유롭고, 컴퓨터와 공작기계간의 상호 대화가 없이도 NC 공작기계 상에서 원격 제어(Remote Control)가 가능하다.

  • Cognitive Radio, which is proposed to improve the efficiency of wireless communication systems is the system to share primary user's frequency bands with a secondary user. In this situation, a secondary user uses NC-OFDM (Non-contiguous Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) to transmit data effectively without interfering with the primary user's spectrum. However, NC-OFDM, in common with contiguous OFDM, degrades the performance of the system by generating high PAPR (Peak-to-Average Power Ratio). In this paper, firstly, we analyse PAPR corresponding to the distribution of subcarriers in NC-OFDM. Then the PAPR reductions that employ the PTS (Partial Transmit Sequence) and SLM (Selective Mapping) are evaluated. Finally, the computational complexities of the PTS and SLM adopting pruned-FFT are compared with conventional PTS and SLM. Further, it is shown that the NC-OFDM with pruned-FFT is more efficient than the contiguous OFDM in terms of computational complexity and PAPR reduction performance.
