  • This paper classify using Adaptive Resonance Theory 1(ART1) as a vigilance parameter of pattern clustering algorithm. Inherent characteristics of the model are analyzed. In particular the vigilance parameter $\rho$ and its role in classification of patterns is examined. Our estimates show that the vigilance parameter as designed originally does not necessarily increase the number of categories with its value but can decrease also. This is against the claim of solving the stability-plasticity dilemma. However, we have proposed a modified vigilance parameter setting criterion which takes into account the problem of subset and superset patterns and stably categorizes arbitrarily many input patterns in one list presentation when the vigilance parameter is closer to one. And this paper goal is the input pattern cognition and classification using neural network.

  • I. Introduction ▶The PID(Proportional-Integral-Derivative) controller is widely used in the industry it can be implemented easily for a typical second order plant. ▶The parameters of PID controller should be adapted complicatedly if a plant is various or the load is present. ▶For solving the problem, many control techniques have been developed. ▶A major method is a hybrid Fuzzy-PID controller. But, in case of using this method, we can not obtain characteristic of rapidly response and not achieved compensation on disturbance. ▶Therefore, we will use compensator fuzzy controller a front Hybrid type fuzzy-PID controller...

  • In this paper, we are concerned with a maneuver detection algorithm which uses the 'lost' measurements down-sampled for computation load saving when a target is in quiescent motion. In general applications of estimation, measurements are available at a relatively high rate, while the estimation processing equipment can only operate at a lower sampling rate. Furthermore, when a target is in nearly quiescent motion, the update of the tracking filter need not to be implemented with maxim urn process power of the filter since the states of the target vary relatively slowly. This does not give serious degradation on the estimation performance. We consider the maneuver detection problem at the case...

  • In this paper, RSF+RPP(Random Switching Frequency Ran-domized Pulse Position) PWM for three-phase voltage-controlled inverter is proposed. The LLPWM(Lead-Lag PWM) technique is that three switching pulses are located randomly back and forth in each switching interval But with the restriction of random distribution, the harmonic spectrum cannot be dispersedly and continuously distributed. To tackle this problem , First, the switching frequency is varied randomly. Next, the duty ratio is calculated under the first circumstance. Finally, the switching pulses are located randomly in the switching interval. To verify the validity of the proposed technique, Simulation Study is tried Using Matlab/Si...

  • This paper presents a tip position control of a single-link flexible arm with a payload by using closed loop control. The shifting problem of the arm from the initial position to desired position is considered by the variation of the displacement gain $G_{p}$ and velocity gain $G_{v}$. The system is composed of a flexible arm with payload, DC servomotor, and a ballscrew mechanism. The flexible arm is mounted on a mobile stage driven by a servomotor and ballscrew. As a result, the increase of the displacement and velocity gain respectively comes to the reduction of tip vibration. Theoretical results are approximately in good agreement with those obtained experimentally.y.y.

  • In this paper, intervalwise receding horizon controls (IRHCs) are proposed for linear time systems subject to $H_2$ and $H_{\infty}$ problems. Uniform stability conditions are provided for those systems. Under given conditions stability is proved without using an adjoint system. It is also shown that under proposed stability conditions for $H_{\infty}$ problem, $H_{\infty}$-norm bound is satisfied. The results in this paper arc also applicable to periodic systems which belong to the class of time systems.

  • Fault tree analysis is NP-hard problem. In this paper, we present a method which reduces size of the fault tree by eliminating the irrelevant events. Irrelevant event is the event which has no contribution to the system failure. In a fault tree, the irrelevant events occur due to the existence of the replicated events. By investigating the structure of the replicated events we establish the conditions which characterize the irrelevant events. Based on these conditions we present the computational algorithm which eliminate the irrelevant events. Complexity of the algorithm is shown to be polynomial and so, this algorithm can be utilized efficiently in FTA.

  • In fracture mechanics, the weight function can be used for calculating stress intensity factors. In this paper, a two-dimensional electroelastic analysis is performed on a transversely isotropic piezoelectric material with an open crack. A plane strain formulation of the piezoelectric problem is solved within the Leknitskii formalism. Weight function theory is extended to piezoelectric materials. The stress intensity factors and electric displacement intensity factor are calculated by the weight function theory.

  • This paper proposes a new snubber circuit for multilevel inverter and converter. The snubber circuit makes use of Undeland snubber as basic snubber unit and can be regraded as a generalized Undeland snubber. The proposed snubber keeps such good features as fewer number of components, improved efficiency due to low loss snubber, capability of clamping overvoltage across main switching devices, and no unbalance problem of blocking voltage. Furthermore, the proposed concept of constructing a snubber circuit for multilevel inverter and converter can apply to any kind of basic snubber unit such as Holtz nondissipative snubber, McMurray efficient snubber, Lauritzen lossless snubber, etc which have been utilized for two-level inveter.
