본 논문에서는 배열에서 구간 최소값 위치를 상수 시간에 찾기 위한 효율적인 자료구조를 제시한다. 최근의 생물 정보학 분야에서 빠른 DNA 서열의 검색을 위해 접미사 배열이 많이 사용되고 있는데 이 접미사 배열을 생성하는 문제는 구간 최소값 위치 문제를 포함하고 있다. 이 접미사 배열을 생성할 때는 구간 최소값 위치 문제를 빠르게 푸는 것뿐만 아니라 공간 효율적으로 해결하는 것도 중요하다. 그 이유는 DNA 서열이 수백만 개에서 수십 억 개의 염기를 가진 굉장히 큰 데이타이기 때문이다. 배열의 구간 최소간 위치를 상수 시간에 찾기 위해 지금까지 알려진 가장 효율적인 자료구조는 배열의 구간 최소값 문제를 Cartesian 트리에서의 LCA(Lowest Common Ancestor) 문제로 바꾸고 이 트리에서의 LCA 문제를 다시 특수한 배열에서의 구간 최소값 문제로 바꾸어 푸는 방법을 이용한 자료구조이다. 이 자료구조는 이론적으로 O(n) 공간을 사용하여 O(n) 시간에 생성된다. 하지만 이 자료구조는 배열의 구간 최소값 문제를 두 번에 걸쳐 다른 문제로 변환하는 과정을 포함하고 있기 때문에 실제로 사용되는 공간은 상당히 큰 13n이며 또한 많은 시간이 요구된다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 자료구조는 배열의 구간 최소값 문제를 다른 문제로 변환하지 않고 직접 구하는 자료구조이다. 따라서 이론적으로 O(n) 공간을 차지하며 O(n) 시간에 생성될 뿐만 아니라 실제적으로도 5n의 적은 공간을 사용하며 빠른 시간에 생성된다.

Let [$n$] = {1, 2, ${\ldots}$, $n$} be ordered in the standard way. The order-preserving full transformation semigroup ${\mathcal{O}}_n$ is the set of all order-preserving singular full transformations on [$n$] under composition. For this semigroup we describe maximal subsemibands, maximal regular subsemibands, locally maximal regular subsemibands, and completely obtain their classification.

BcN은 유 ${\cdot}$ 무선에 관계없이 일정한 데이터 전송속도를 구현하는 것을 목표로 하고 있어 개인들이 하나의 단말기로 자유롭게 네트워크에 접속할 수 있는 "u-life(유비쿼터스 시대)" 진입이 한층 가속화될 전망이다. 본 논문에서는 ITD, ETSI, IETF에서의 QoS 정의를 살펴보고 각각을 비교하였으며, 각 표준화 기관에서의 QoS 파라미터를 근거로 BcN에서의 서비스 품질 및 네트워크 파라미터들을 정립하였다.

As an application of 'reverse engineering' technique introduced by R. Fintushel, D. Park and R. Stern [9], we present a simple way to construct an infinite family of exotic (2n+2l-1)$\mathbb{CP}^2#$(2n+4l-1)$\overline{\mathbb{CP}}^2$'s for all $n\;{\geq}\;0$, $l\;{\geq}\;1$.

Let K be an imaginary quadratic field and 𝒪 be an order in K. Let H_𝒪 be the ring class field of 𝒪. Furthermore, for a positive integer N, let K_𝒪,N be the ray class field modulo N𝒪 of 𝒪. When the discriminant of 𝒪 is different from -3 and -4, we construct an extended form class group which is isomorphic to the Galois group Gal(K_𝒪,N/H_𝒪) and describe its Galois action on K_𝒪,N in a concrete way.

Consider the random n $\times$ m assignment problem with m $\geq$ $_{i,j}$ Let $u_{i,j}$ be iid uniform random variables on [0, 1] and exponential random variables with mean 1, respectively, and let $U_{n, m}$ and $T_{n, m}$ denote the optimal assignment costs corresponding to $u_{i, j}$ and $t_{i, j}$. In this paper we first give a comparison result about the discrepancy E $T_{n, m}$ -E $U_{n, m}$. Using this comparison result with a known lower bound for Var( $T_{n, m}$) we obtains a lower bound for Var( $U_{n, m}$). Finally, we study the way that E $U_{n, m}$ and E $T_{n, m}$ vary as m does. It turns out that only when m - n is large enough, the cost decreases significantly.tly.

Let n be a fixed natural number. Menger algebras of rank n can be regarded as a canonical generalization of arbitrary semigroups. This paper is concerned with studying algebraic properties of Menger algebras of rank n by first defining a special class of full n-place functions, the so-called a left translation, which possess necessary and sufficient conditions for an (n + 1)-groupoid to be a Menger algebra of rank n. The isomorphism parts begin with introducing the concept of homomorphisms, and congruences in Menger algebras of rank n. These lead us to establish a quotient structure consisting a nonempty set factored by such congruences together with an operation defined on its equivalence classes. Finally, the fundamental homomorphism theorem and isomorphism theorems for Menger algebras of rank n are given. As a consequence, our results are significant in the study of algebraic theoretical Menger algebras of rank n. Furthermore, we extend the usual notions of ordinary semigroups in a natural way.

HF대 해상통신이 디지털방식으로 발전하기 위해서는 먼저 해안국과 다수의 선박국간에서 1:N 으로 자동링크설정을 수행할 수 있는 기법이 마련되어야 한다. 단순히 polling에 의한 방식을 사용할 수는 있으나 통신환경이 열악한 HF대 통신상태에서 특정국만을 호출하여 링크를 설정하기 위해서는 많은 redundancy 시간이 소요될 수밖에 없다. 아마추어 무선에서는 특정국을 선택호출하는 1:1 자동 링크설정 방식으로 ALE(Automatic Link Establishment) controller를 이용하고 있으나, 해상통신에서 이러한 방식으로 1:N의 링크설정을 기대하기는 매우 어렵다. 즉, 선박국들의 동시호출을 유도하면 다수의 호출신호에 의한 트래픽 과부하로 충돌을 회피하기는 어렵다. 때문에 HF대 통신은 채널 특성상 트래픽 상태를 고려하여 자동적으로 무선링크가 설정되어야 하며, 트래픽 과부하시에는 적응적으로 채널의 안정성을 확보하며 운용되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 다수의 선박국이 HF대의 단일채널에서 멀티톤 주파수에 의하여 자유접속을 시도할 수 있는 방식을 연구하여 자유접속, 그룹접속, polling의 3가지 자동링크설정 방식을 순차적으로 구동하는 새로운 무선프로토콜에 대하여 연구하였다.
