A study on the relation between some husbandry practices and brucellosis in goats in Bangladesh was conducted at selected areas of Mymensingh and Dhaka district, Bangladesh, from March 2005 to May 2006. Sera from 300 goats were tested by Rose bengal test (RBT), plate agglutination test (PAT), tube agglutination test (TAT) and mercaptoethanol test (MET). Out of the 300 goats, 1.670% (n=5) were positive to RBT and PAT respectively, and 2.0% (n=6) were positive to TAT and 2.33% (n=7) were positive to MET. The prevalence of brucellosis was bigger in goats reared collectively (n=2, 4%) than reared individually (n=5, 2%), and bigger in goats housed with concrete floor (n=2, 4%) than that of bare floor (n=5, 2%). The rate of brucellosis was higher in goats keep separately (n=6, 2.61%) than that of kept with other animals (n=1, 1.43%) especially with cattle. Out of 290 goats from free grazing, 7 were positive but no positive reactor(n=10) was found in non grazing goats. In conclusion, however, seroprevalence of brucellosis had no statistically significant association with rearing type, housing type and grazing or not.

This study applied the Q methodology to customers using the Ethnick restaurant in Itaewon to understand subjective perceptions of customers using the restaurant. The purpose of the study is to characterize the subjective structure of the restaurant and to describe and analyze the characteristics of the types of subjective. As a result of type analysis, a total of five were derived. Type 1 (N=4) : Ethnic Food Preferred Type, Type 2 (N=5): Mainland flavour Seeking Type, Type 3 (N=3) : Food Material Sanitary Conditions Type 4 (N=6): The restaurant's Restaurant Service Preference Type, and Type 5 (N=2) : The mood sensibility type were analyzed to have various characteristics of each type. In future studies on Ethnick restaurants, we intend to modify and supplement the detailed Q methodological questions and analysis methods based on many literature and empirical studies to analyze the various opinions of the respondents in a specific and in-depth manner.

In this report, fifteen monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) against an avian influenza virus (H9N2 subtype) were newly produced and characterized. These MAbs proved to react to the epitopes of nucleocapsid protein (NP), hemagglutinin (HA), neuraminidase (NA) and non-structural protein 1 (NS1) of Korean H9N2 strain, respectively. Two HA-specific MAbs showed the ability to inhibit the hemagglutination activity of H9N2 subtype avian influenza virus when tested by hemagglutination inhibition (HI) assay. All MAbs did not cross-react with other avian-origin viruses (Newcastle disease virus, infectious bursal disease virus, infectious bronchitis virus and avian rotavirus) by immunofluorescence test or enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The MAbs produced in this study could be useful as the materials for diagnostics and therapeutics against Korean-lineage H9N2 virus infections.

We develop architecture of a virtual aggregation gateway (VAG) which enables composite application streaming based on N-Screen-as-a-Service (NaaS) using cloud computing in thin-client environment. We also discuss the problem of server computing burden in large scale multi-client case for screens sharing with composite application streaming over the internet. In particular, we propose an efficient Framework of N-Screen Session Manager which manages all media signaling that are necessary to deliver demanded contents. Furthermore, it will provides user with playback multimedia contents method (TV Drama, Ads, and Dialog etc) which is not considered in other research papers. The objectives of proposing N-Screen Session Manager are to (1) manage session status of all communication sessions (2) manage handling of received request and replies (3) allow users to playback multimedia contents anytime with variety of devices for screen sharing and (4) allow users to transfer an ongoing communication session from one device to another. Furthermore, we discuss the major security issues that occur in Session Initiation Protocol as well as minimizing delay resulted from session initiations (playback or transfer session).

Swine influenza is an acute respiratory disease prevalent in pig-growing areas worldwide. In total, 518 gilt and sow serum samples and 14 litters (66 samples) of aborted fetuses from 37 farms (average of 14 serum samples per farm) in Gyeongbuk Province were collected between September 2010 and May 2011. All samples were examined for antibodies to swine influenza virus (SIV) H1N1 and H3N2 using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The seropositive rates of gilt and sows were 59.8% (310/518) for SIV H1N1, 78.8% (408/518) for H3N2, and 55.6% (288/518) for both subtypes tested. The rate of aborted fetuses was 13.6% (9/66) for H1N1, 9.1% (6/66) for H3N2, and 9.1% for both subtypes. The seroprevalence for H1N1 in gilts and sows was 46.6% (69/148) and 65.1% (241/370), respectively, and that for H3N2 was 78.4% (116/148) and 78.9% (292/370), respectively.

A method for the identification of Nocardia seriolae, the causative agent of nocardiosis in cultured fishes, using PCR was developed in the study. A PCR primer set specific to N. seriolae was designed based on 16S-23S rRNA sequence of various Nocardia species accessed in GenBank. Designed PCR primer set, Nseri-F (5'-GCA AAC TCT TCG AAC AGT CG-3') and Nseri-R (5'-GGA TAT CAG GAC TTA CCG GC-3'), amplifies the target regions of N. seriolae only, but not 4 other Nocardia species, N. asteroides, N. crassostreae, N. farcinica and N. salmonicida.

GaN (Gallium-Nitride) is a promising candidate material in various radio frequency applications due to its inherent properties including wide bandgap, high carrier concentration, and high electron mobility/saturation velocity. Notably, AlGaN/GaN heterostructure field effect transistor exhibits high operating voltage and high power-density/power at high frequency. In next-generation radar systems, GaN power transistors and monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) are significant components of transmitting and receiving modules. In this paper, we introduce technological trends for C-/X-/Ku-band GaN MMICs including power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers and switch MMICs, focusing on the status of GaN MMIC fabrication technology and GaN foundry service. Additionally, we review the research for the localization of C-/X-/Ku-band GaN MMICs using in-house GaN transistor and MMIC fabrication technology. We also discuss the results of C-/X-/Ku-band GaN MMICs developed at Defense Materials and Components Convergence Research Department in ETRI.

본 논문에서는 클라우드 컴퓨팅에서 N-스크린 서비스를 위한 실시간 재생 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법은 동영상을 분할하여 블록을 생성하고, 해당 블록을 변환하여 실시간으로 재생한다. 또한, 요청된 포맷에 따라 변환하는 방식으로 여러 디바이스에 최적화하여 실시간으로 재생 서비스를 제공할 수 있기 때문에 스토리지 사용량도 기존 동영상 서비스 방식에 비해 유리하다.

This study attempts to provide the foundation for a possibility that industrial su n.0, pporting organization can be strong information centers if they fortify their information dissemination activities, along with the basic functions. The following conclusions are resulted from the analysis in the operations of libraries, service methods and their publications of the information activities provided by the industrial su n.0, pporting organizations. First, the organizations have not be acquiring enough information materials. The services for bibliographic information should guarantee the uses of original documents. Second, the number of organizations providing on-line information services has been increasing, but the provided materials are nothing but their own materials produced during performing the basic functions. Third, the speedy information provision and efficient information dissemination for the end-users in the distance may be possible through on-line service, but it requires information analysis function to select the necessary information in our industrial environment. Forth, th information activities provided by the libraries of industrial su n.0, pporting organizations should be fortified.

In this study, we realized the broadband home gateway system of dual mode based upon EDR 2~3Mbps transmission speed and 300Mbps of 802.11n, In broadcasting and telecommunication convergence networks to deliver multimedia services, high-quality home. The bluetooth module is designed to use general low rate data speed service and the 802.11n module also is designed to use high rate speed service at various home network situation. The dual mode home gateway system, bluetooth and 802.l1n module, is well realized for many specification such as emission power, spurious power, impedance matching, frequency channel test.
