FGI분석을 통한 소셜 큐레이션 서비스의 교육적 활용 가능성 탐색 (Exploring the Possibilities of Educational Use of Social Curation Service Using the FGI Analysis)

  • 본 연구는 관심사형이라고 불리우는 3세대 SNS인 소셜 큐레이션 서비스에 대해 교육적 활용 가능성을 탐색해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 9명의 대학생을 선정하여 약 50일간 소셜 큐레이션 서비스를 사용하게 한 후 Focus Group Interview(이하 FGI)를 실시하여 그 답변을 분석하였다. 자료 분석을 위해서는 NVivo 10 프로그램이 사용되었다. 분석 결과 소셜 큐레이션 서비스는 다양한 정보 수집, 나만의 카테고리 생성을 통한 분류 및 정리, 관심사에 대한 지속적 업데이트 가능, 기존 SNS에 비해 상대적 박탈감 감소가 장점으로 도출되었다. 보완 및 개선 사항으로는 한국어 콘텐츠 부족, 서비스의 단조로움이 제시되었는데 이를 해결하기 위해선 지속적 홍보가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 교육적 활용 측면에서는 개인, 팀별로 구분하여 개인은 자발적 정보 검색 및 활용, 나만의 자료 구성 가능, 자기주도적 학습 촉진이 가능하며, 팀별로는 공유를 통한 토론 활동, 발표 활동 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다.

이동체의 현재 위치 색인을 위한 동적 해슁 구조의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of the dynamic hashing structure for indexing the current positions of moving objects)

  • 위치 기반 서비스는 이동체의 위치에 종속적인 결과를 얻는 위치 기반 질의를 필요로 한다. 이동체의 위치는 연속적으로 변하기 때문에, 이동체의 색인은 변경된 위치 정보를 유지하기 위하여 빈번한 갱신 연산을 수행해야 한다. 기존의 공간 색인들(그리드 파일, R-트리, KDB-트리 등)은 정적 데이터를 검색하는데 효과적인 색인이다. 이들 색인은 연속적으로 위치 데이터가 변경되는 이동체 데이터베이스의 색인으로는 적합하지 않다. 본 논문에서는 삽입/삭제 비용이 적은 동적 해슁 색인을 제안한다. 동적 해슁 색인 구조는 해쉬와 트리를 결합한 동적 해슁 기술을 공간 색인에 적용한 것이다. 실험 결과에서 동적 해슁 색인은 $R^*$-tree와 고정 그리드 보다 성능이 우수하였다.

  • In an Internet of Thing (IoT) environment, entities with different attributes and capacities are going to be connected in a highly connected fashion. Specifically, not only the mechanical and electronic devices but also other entities such as people, locations and applications are connected to each other. Understanding and managing these connections play an important role for businesses, which identify opportunities for new IoT services. Traditional approach for storing and querying IoT data is used of a relational database management system (RDMS) such as MySQL or MSSQL. However, using RDMS is not flexible and sufficient for handling heterogeneous IoT data because these data have deeply complex relationships which require nested queries and complex joins on multiple tables. In this paper, we propose a graph model for constructing a graph database of heterogeneous IoT data. Graph databases are purposely-built to store highly connected data with nodes representing entities and edges representing the relationships between these entities. Our model fuses social graph, spatial graph, and things graph, and incorporates the relationships among them. We then present a case study which applies our model for representing data from a Smart Campus using Neo4J platform. Through the results of querying to answer real questions in Smart Campus management, we show the viability of our model.

조건부가치평가법을 이용한 가명화된 이미지 가치측정 방법 및 사례 (Methods and Examples of Pseudonymized Image Value Measurement using Contingent Valuation Method)

  • 개인정보 데이터의 가치평가 방법은 여러 가지가 있지만, 데이터 가치평가의 표준은 존재하지 않는다. 의료 마이데이터 활용 플랫폼 서비스의 사례를 살펴보면 플랫폼 기업이 이용자로부터 동의를 받아 데이터 활용 목적으로 데이터를 제공받는 경우 이에 대한 보상으로 이용자 1인 평균 약 4,000 credit이 리워드로 지급된 바 있다. 앞선 사례와 같이 개인정보 가치평가는 개인정보의 세부 항목별이 아닌주로 인당 얼마의 가치를 지니는 지로 측정된다. 그러나 개인정보의 수와 형태가 다양해짐에 따라 개인정보의 가치는 형태별로 측정해야 한다. 본 연구는 비정형 개인정보, 특히 이미지의 가치측정을 중점으로 하고, 비정형 개인정보의 표준을 제안한다. 이미지의 가치측정을 통해 플랫폼 회사들이 데이터 제공 시 1인당 보상되는 credit 기준을 설정할 수 있도록 돕고, B2B 데이터 판매 시 객관적이고 합리적인 가격 책정을 지원할 수 있을 것이다.

  • 교통분야에서 탄소중립 달성을 위한 전략으로 자동차 총 주행거리 감축과 승용차 교통량 감축을 제시하고 있다. 이를 위해서는 대중교통 활성화를 목표로 MaaS 서비스를 적극적으로 추진하여야 한다. MaaS를 추진하기 위해서는 개인의 이동에 대한 이용수단, 경로뿐만 아니라, 개인의 이용 수단의 전환 등 개인별 누적 이동 데이터가 필요하다. 하지만 국내에서는 개인의 이동에 대한 데이터를 수집하고 이를 활용하는데 있어서 법적인 한계가 존재한다. 2023년 개정된 개인정보보호법에 개인정보 전송요구권이 신설됨에 따라 개인의 이동에 대한 데이터를 수집하고 활용하기 위한 법률이 마련되었지만, 시행령, 세부 규칙, 지침, 가이드라인 등이 마련되어야 하며, 마이데이터수집을 위한 데이터 형식 및 전송체계의 표준화가 선행될 필요가 있다.

마우스 트래킹 기반 작업흐름도를 이용한 웹 Widget 인터페이스 사용성 평가 (Usability Test of Interface for Web Widget Using Work-Flow based on Mouse Tracking)

  • The use of web widgets on desktop and mobile devices has been increasing rapidly. Web widgets provide access to activities and information from various sources across the web. As the number of supported widgets increases, managing widgets and finding relevant or interesting widgets becomes more complex. In addition, interacting with widgets in web service systems can be difficult, especially for novice users. Up to this point, there has been little research on web widget usability. This paper performs an experimental study regarding user interfaces of web widgets based on the mouse tracking and work-flow analysis. In the experiment, four sites providing widget services are chosen - iGoogle, Netvibes, My yahoo, and Wizard. The experiment participants perform three assigned tasks in the chosen sites, and their mouse operations are recorded using Camtasia, a screen casting software. Mouse tracking analysis is performed based on the recorded data in order to analyze common user behaviors. In addition, work-flow diagrams representing the operational flows to carry out the given tasks in each web site are constructed so as to visually and systematically analyze detailed usage patterns. The experimental study results presented in this paper can contribute to developing guidelines for highly usable and accessible interface design of web widgets.

가정전문간호사가 실무에서 경험한 어려움과 대처 (Difficulties and Coping Experienced by Advanced Practice Nurses in Home Health Nursing Field)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to explore the difficulties and coping that advanced practice nurses (APNs) experience in home health nursing field. Methods: The participants were 12 APNs who had experience in home health nursing for over 5 years. Data were collected through two focus group interviews between August and September, 2017. The results were analyzed using a qualitative content analysis. Results: Out of 10 sub-categories and 29 codes, 4 categories emerged: "crushed by the responsibilities as the only healthcare professional", "worn out by family who interfere with work", "anxiety about my safety being threatened" and "using self-learned know-hows". Conclusion: APNs face difficulties due to the environmental characteristics of the homes, the characteristics of chronically critically ill (CCI) patients and their families, and legal or systematical limitations when dealing with problems based on their personal competence. In order to ensure that professional nursing care is more readily provided to CCI patients through home health nursing services in local communities, it is imperative that support systems at the organizational and institutional levels be established in a systematic way to resolve the issues faced by APNs.

Design and Implementation of Digital Jikin using Smartphone Application

  • Due to the recent advances of IT industry, many companies and institutions have been used electronic documents rather than original paper copies. However, the characteristic of electronic document allows it to be readily damaged from proscribed copying, counterfeit, and falsification. These can cause the serious security problems for electronic documents. Conventional security methods for digital documents involve adding a separated image or marker, but these methods can reduce the readability of document. Therefore, we proposed a digital Jikin (Korean traditional stamp) which is normally used to identify the source or author of a document in asia. The proposed digital Jikin can preserve the readability of electronic document while protecting the document from proscribed copying, counterfeit, or falsification using image processing approach. In this paper, a digital Jikin application is designed and implemented under android platform and it converts the critical information of document onto the digital Jikin. The proposed digital Jikin contains important information in the boundary of Jikin not only about the author of documents or source, but also keywords, number of images, and many more. Therefore, the authenticity of document or whether the document has been altered or not by other person can be evaluated by the server. The proposed digital Jikin can be sent to a server through the wireless networks and can be stored using PHP and MySQL. We believe that the proposed method can offer the better and simple solution for strengthening the security of electronic document.

The Application of English Learning Activities based on the Technologies of Web 2.0

  • Due to the development of technology even in learning and education area, many studies have begun to make a new attempts to research by using SNS, breaking away from traditional learning methods. However, the limitations of these studies are restricted only to the use of wireless Internet and writing on Web sites. This study aims to conduct a research on English learning activities that utilize various technologies such as Bigdata, Facebook, Social Network Services (SNS) and English applications. In addition, this study looks into how these modern technologies can be integrated in the classrooms and which activities can be applied in the English classroom. This research is to suggest effective English learning methods through a thorough investigation on the effectivity of various technologies based on the Web 2.0 such as Flickr, blogs, MySpace, and online discussion board within the context of the English learning. To verify the effect of the study, the subjects are divided into experimental and control group. The experiment is proceeded with pre- and post-test. The experimental group is designed to verify the effects using SNS tools such as Facebook, Bigdata, and Online Massive Learning. A survey is conducted to determine the preference of utilizing social networking sites and to analyze the effects in class. The result is that the average scores for experimental group have improved more than the average of control group. The comparison of pre and post-test of the experimental group shows that the significance of the higher and median group was statistically significant at the p<0.01.

Nucleopolyhedrovirus Induces Suppressor of Cytokine Signaling in the Beet Armyworm, Spodoptera exigua

  • Suppressor of cytokine signaling (SOCS) is known to playa key role as a negative feedback regulator in JAK/STAT signaling cascade in innate immunity. Our laboratory has recently been interested in elucidating the interactions between Spodoptera exigua (Se) and SeNPV. This context leads us to clone and characterize SeSOCS that may have important functions in response to SeNPV infection. Using the RT-PCR and TA cloning approach, we found a partial fragment (416 bp) of SeSOCS. Blast search and multiple alignment data showed that it has a homology to various insects such as Anopheles gambiae (78%), Aedes aegypti (75%), Drosophila melanogastar (77%), Mus musculus (69%), and Homo sapiens (69%). Temporal induction patterns of SeSOCS were analysed after being immune-challenged with either NPV or laminarin. It showed that the level of SeSOCS mRNA was strongly induced in a biphasic manner in response to SeNPV and laminarin, respectively. It seems that SOCS, a negative regulator of JAK/STAT signaling system is also present in S. exigua and may playa role in innate immunity albeit its precise role should be further elucidated at the molecular and cellular level in the early phase of SeNPV infection in larvae.
