In this paper, we design a small low power single channel ECG(Electrocardiogram) system of Chest Belt type with fiber-type electrodes to measure emotional state change of game addict. HRV(Heart Rate Variability) is analyzed through heart rate signal measurement and the psychological stress state is judged by using it. And it verifies its effectiveness through prototype. First, we design HR measurement module through low power MCU(Micro Controller Unit) and implement prototype level measurement system. The results showed that the difference between the addiction group and the general group was confirmed and that the system was effective. The result of this study can be used for health management such as reduction of stress of the user through music and breathing that lowers the stress by detecting the stress state of the general person or the chronic ill person.
This case study research analyzes the cross-artistic project Connect, BTS and its relationship to transmedia branding, meaning-making and spatiality. After an overview of the argument and a section on methodology, the reader will find the analysis of the case study. Thanks to the use of a qualitative approach, this examination of Connect, BTS unveils the ways in which this initiative becomes a location that allows a reconceptualization of space that fosters plurality, exchange, and subjectivity. Connect, BTS unites seemingly incompatible fields under one project, favoring the co-creation of meanings among different artists, BTS, ARMY (the group's fans), business partners and viewers. This process has been investigated through content analysis, exploring Connect, BTS's transmedia strategies from branding to storytelling, to evaluate their efficacy in regard to brand identity, brand experience, and brand trust. The paper will also explore the variety of layers and spatial dimensions contained in Connect, BTS, which flow from art to the music industry, material and digital space, various market sectors and media. In light of this, Connect, BTS embraces a galaxy of separate semantic units into an extended liminal continuum that does not discount difference.
Good storytelling is at the heart of BTS as both a brand and a band. Modern brands know that story is no longer an option, but a requirement for keeping audiences engaged. With their consistent and creative reliance on story, BTS has transformed the K-Pop landscape, providing a framework for others in the industry that relies on open-structure narratives, sincerity, and active audience engagement, among other components. To investigate BTS's storytelling strategies, this article breaks down how stories permeate BTS's content, from music and videos to the Bangtan Universe and documentary films. The importance of transmedia storytelling and participatory audiences is also examined. The analysis resulted in a proposed framework that suggests the following components: 1) story as central to the brand; 2) authenticity and sincerity; 3) idol participation in creative output; 4) use of transmedia storytelling and story gaps; 5) intertextuality and cohesion; 6) opportunities for audience engagement; and 7) dedicated creative staff. Utilizing this framework can help K-Pop groups elevate their brands, better use storytelling elements, and gain larger, more engaged audiences.

The purpose of this research is to analyze Soon Chul Jung's children's songs, who is one of the four great children's songwriters in Korea along with Geuk Young Yoon, Nan Pa Hong and Tae Jun Park. Soon Chul Jung has contributed by actively participate into children's movement at Japanese colonial period through writing self-composed children's songs. Since children's songs are made for the age group without the sense of sound, children's songs necessitate 'easy to sing-along' melody writing process. Like so, when writing the melody that are easy to be sang along, utilization of development technique using a unit called motive can be the potent way. This method has an advantage of being sang more with ease if actively implemented, and can be done by utilizing the smallest unit of the melody called motive, especially by lightly transform and repeat the unit, consequently structuring the song altogether. To investigate and analyze this motive-based development technique of Soon Chul Jung's songs, 38 out of 40 written songs considered eligible for the research were confirmed and chosen from 'Soon Chul Jung's bibliography and choreography' and each songs were analyzed based on 17 different development techniques which were standardized in the textbook 'Melody in Songwriting' adopted as a textbook of the Berklee college of Music, and also compared these song-writing pipelines with other great songwriters' representatives mentioned above. As a result, it was almost linear that the song's pitch variation in combination with thinning or extension were used frequently and repeatedly, otherwise implicating melody duplication for more than 2 bars and motive repetition were not in his favor, while these methods were often used when writing children's songs. This finding could be viewed as a character of his songwriting.
The number of single-parent families in South Korea increased since 2000, related to a sharp rise in the divorce rate of 50s and an increase in male mortality rates among those aged 40s-50s. Middle-aged single mothers experience a critical period realizing self-actualization needs, while being in the middle adulthood from the lifespan developmental perspective. In this respect, it is significant to study self-actualization of middle-aged single mothers through guided imagery and music (GIM) in order to provide them with psychological support. This study was conducted from September 2018 to June 2020, and the GIM sessions were conducted at least 10 times. Four participants were selected among the middle-aged single mothers. The imagery experiences of participants in the GIM sessions were classified into four sub-elements: physicalness, emotion, memory, and sense. Within those sub-elements, eight semantic units were categorized into 46 elements. Finally, 152 semantic units were derived. Moreover, the self-actualization which participants experienced through GIM presented three archetypal images: shadow, persona, and the self. In the GIM sessions, experiences of putting their negative emotions associated with family into words and changing passive self-imagery into active one enabled participants to bring the shadow into their consciousness, there by recognizing their positive and bright internal self. Furthermore, participants could map that their current status as people marginalized by siblings and parents, enraged and holding double standards for others, was suppressed by their 'good daughter' and 'religious' personas. This realization lead them to realize and restore their persona. The use of GIM in the study allowed participants to elicit re-experiences of the negative events, while experiencing various imagery and music. This process helped participants achieve self-actualization.
The recent rapid increase in single-person households has had a significant impact on the art performance market as well as the overall consumption trend. With the proportion of one-person viewers in the form of viewing the performance nearly half, the new term "Hongongjok" is widely used. Representing the trends of 'one-person consumption' and 'consumption for me' is the concept of 'self-gift' that consumes special for myself. This study introduced the concept of self-gift as a framework for understanding a new group of performance viewers who lavishly investing in consumption for one's sake. It also demonstrated how self-gift motivation affects the perceived value and the intention of self-gift. As a result of the analysis, the motivation for reward, therapeutic personal disappointment, and therapeutic negative mood reduction of the self-gift had a significant effect on the intention of self-gift through the perceived value of classical music performances. In addition, it was also revealed through the multi-group analysis that there was a significant difference in the effect of self-gift motivation factors between a single viewer and two or more accompanying viewers. This study contributes to the fact that the art performance industry can be provided the first theoretical basis for understanding these customer groups in order to respond to the consumption trend for one-person viewers. It also offered practical implications for revitalizing the stagnant classical music performance market by framing the art performance as a self-gift.

The Korean girl group "Kara" has suffered the trilemma of its de facto failure to debut, the crisis of team breakup, and the CEO crisis of the agency. But the group has made an outstanding achievement in the history of Korean pop music after overcoming all odds. Their success strategy has never been disclosed by insiders involved in Kara's total music projects. This study has been carried out in the analysis of the strategy to provide academic implications and to honor the contribution of the late CEO Ho-yeon Lee and Kara's key member Ha-ra Gu. Therefore, between Nov. and Dec. 2020, we conducted in-depth interviews with managers, composers, stylists and Ha-ra Gu(Only in 2019, before her death) who took part in the project. The research model is set up by combining Porter's Competitive Advantage Strategy and the music value chain model into categories of "Product Innovation Differentiation (PD)" (producing, album production, performance activities) and "Marketing Differentiation (MD)" (market targeting, image specialization, promotion and communication). The analysis showed that the PD focused on complete rediscovered harmonization and revalued members' personality and sincerity with peppy songs and dainty dances as well as emission of "bright energy" which caused healing effects instead of mimicking other star singers recklessly. In terms of MD, they selected Japan's 10-20s as their main market, increasing intimacy with fans and media with the image of cute+pretty+classy+sexy. The result suggests that Poter's differentiation can function as a meaningful strategy frame in the fostering, hit, and revival of idol groups. In addition, it reaffirmed that spontaneous and passionate activities of early-stage or celebrity fan may serve as a valid catalyst for realizing differentiation, as Kara's caller of Japanese actor Gekidan Hitori caused a strong "priming effect" that drove Kara's unexpected wonderful success in Japan.
Most of the sounds used in animated films are artificially made. A large number of the sounds used are either actual sound recordings or diversely processed artificial sounds made with professional sound equipments such as synthesizers. One animation episode contains numerous amounts of sounds, resulting in significant sound production costs. These sounds have full potential to be reused in different films or animations, but in reality we fail to do so. This thesis discusses ways these sound sources can be acknowledged as added new values to the present market situation as a usable 'digital content'. The iTunes Music Store is an American Apple company product that is acknowledged as the most successful digital content distribution model at the time being. Its system's sound library has potential for application in the Korean sound industry. In result, this system allows the sound creator to connect directly to the online store and become the initiative content supplier. At the same time, the user can receive a needed content easily at a low price. The most important part in the construction of this system is the search engine, which allows users to search for data in short periods of time. The search engine will have to be made in a new manner that takes into consideration the characteristics of the Korean language. This thesis presents a device incorporating the Wiki System to allow users to search and build their own data bases to share with other users. Using this system as a base, the Korean animation sound library will provide development and growth in the sound source industry as a new digital sound content.

Unlike the first generation of Korean Wave (Hallyu 1.0), which mainly refers to the exports of Korean TV dramas via broadcasting systems, the New Korean Wave (Hallyu 2.0) era has been brought by K-pop (Korean popular music) via the rapid growth of social media. The purpose of this study is to understand the impact of this significant shift in media on global fans and their way of adopting Korean cultural goods from a social capital perspective, in order to draw some implications for the current Korean content industries. Most global fans of K-pop are young and use social media to access digital content and share their opinions spontaneously. SNS providers such as YouTube and Facebook not only act as information providers to usher the fans to online music retailers; but also function as links between these fans and cultural producers by turning bonding social capital into bridging social capital. Telecommunication and advertising companies participate in this market as a third party by providing funds for supporting digital circulation and distribution. In this multi-sided market with the interdependent agents, it is extremely important to secure a platform that leads the evolution of its business ecology. Without owning the platform, there is also a very little chance to produce linking social capital as a means to maximize the impact of New Korean Wave.
As the economy grows rapidly and the national income level increases, the service industry has become more important and its size gets larger. Especially, the food industry undertakes a continuing growth of consumer expenditures through no nationalization of food, consumers varying patterns of eating out, and individualization. However, it includes many problems with improving service quality towards customers owing to the absence of systems and philosophy to realize customer satisfaction management Therefore, this study conducted a study with Korean traditional restaurant customers to measure their perceived service quality, to verify what factors most influence consumer satisfaction, and to suggest ways to meet the costumer needs by integrating the study results and developing high service quality. To sum up the results of this study, Korean traditional restaurant visitors evaluated three dimensions of service quality overall favorably. Interestingly, background music received a lower level of satisfaction. This implies that the Korean traditional restaurant managers do not do a fine performance in managing music as an ambient element to evoke the atmosphere of the restaurant. Customers showed a lower satisfaction with menu price among the factors measuring product quality. As a result of this study, several suggestions have been made as follows: First, it is necessary for the Korean traditional restaurants to provide systematic employee training to instigate a service culture of customer focus. Secondly, it is important to develop traditional foods using ingredients produced in the region based on a literature review of food in Gyeongju, Silla. Thirdly, it is an urgent task to develop regional menus to revitalize the restaurant business. Fourthly, it is important to provide safety food through systematic sanitary administration. Lastly, it is necessary to limit the number of menu items and attempt specialization of them. Such an attempt with specialized menu items will help their food taste and quality improve and thereby reduce inventory burdens. However, this study has a few limitations. Since this study conducted a survey of the restaurants which provides only Korean traditional food in Gyeongju, not all the restaurants in it, there is a limitation in measuring customer satisfaction with service quality. Therefore, the study results cannot be generalized to all the restaurants in Gyeongju and the nation. Finally, this study suggests that studies on the relationships between customer satisfaction and menu price and customer value system or further customer satisfaction studies with Korean traditional restaurants should be continued.
