ITU-T recommends T.120 for multimedia conferencing data protocols. In this paper, generic model of application protocols is shown for guaranteeting internetworking between application protocols in application users. And using generic conference control and multipoint communication service, multipoint binary file transfer application protocol is shown throughout application protocol generic model on public session environment.

VoIP(Voice over IP)는 인터넷과 같은 IP 망에서 음성과 영상을 전송하기 위한 기술이며, 차세대 망에서의 음성, 영상, 데이터 통신을 위한 최적 기술로 부상하고 있다. 따라서 VoIP 응용은 인터넷 망을 이용하는 다양한 단말기들 사이의 음성 및 영상 통신을 위하여 많이 사용되어 질 것으로 예상된다. 본 논문에서 구현되는 다자간 VoIP는 단말혼합 방법을 이용하였기 때문에 회의 서버 없이도 다자간 회의가 가능하다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 이 다자간 VoIP는 SIP 표준에 근거하여 개발 되었으며, 비대칭 NAT에서의 운용을 위하여 STUN을 지원한다. 본 논문의 특징은 새로운 미디어 처리부를 가진 단말혼합 방법을 이용하기 때문에 미디어 정보를 중복해서 전달 받지 않고 계층적 다자간 회의가 가능하다. 또한, 계층적 다자간 회의 운용 시 미디어 혼합기능을 수행 중인 단말기가 회의를 떠날 때 전체 회의가 분리되는 단점을 해결한다.

UFC(Ubiquitous Fashionable Computer) is a human oriented fashionable computer with which we exploit the ubiquitous computing environment by our intuitive interface[1]. The multipoint conference in the UFC is expected to be one of the leading applications in the ubiquitous environments. In this paper, we introduce GUI for multipoint conference system in UFC.

VoIP(Voice over IP) is the technology to transport voice and video over IP networks such as Internet. Today, VoIP technology is viewed as the right choice for provide voice, video, and data communication over next generation network. We are sure that the multipoint VoIP will help enhancing the various application services in ubiquitous environment. The paper shows multipoint VoIP system implemented with end-point mixing model and introduces various embedded systems such as UFC(Ubiquitous Fashionable Computer), tourist guide terminal and industrial terminal which use the multipoint VoIP.

멀티미디어 통신 단말기를 이용하여 다자간 영상회의를 구현하기 위하여 단말기들 은 논리적으로 상호 연결되어 있어야 하며, 단말기 사이의 연결을 구현하는 방법에는 중앙 집중식 방식과 분산식 방식이 있다. 이중 집중식 영상회의의 구현을 위하여 다 지점 제어 장치가 필요하며, 이러한 다지점 제어장치를 설계하기 위한 방법에는 음성 및 영상처리 장치의 개발 방법에 따라 디지탈에 의한 방식과 아날로그에 의한 방식으 로 크게 나눌 수 있다. 이러한 다지점 제어장치의 의미 및 개발방법을 살펴보기 위하 여, 본 논문에서는 다지점 제어 장치에 대한 주요기능을 정리하였으며, 다지점 제어장 치의 구현을 위한 여러 방법들을 제시하였다.

현재 및 미래의 다양한 통신망에서 멀티미디어 회의 관련 응용 서비스를 구현하기 위해서는 기본적인 회의 서비스에 관련된 규약이 필요하며 이와 관련하여 제정된 규약이 MCS(Multipoint Communication Service)이다. 본 논문은 멀티미디어 회의 시스템을 위하여 국제 표준으로 권고되어 있는 다지점 통신 서비스(MCS)를 구현하기 위하여 관련 자료를 분석하고, 이를 근간으로 하여 알고리즘의 제안하고 이를 UMX machine 및 windows/NT cachine에서 구현하였다.

유비쿼터스 환경은 시간과 공간의 제약 없이, 언제 어떤 곳에서건 자신이 원하는 통신 및 컴퓨팅 서비스를 제공받을 수 있는 환경 구축을 목표로 한다. 다자간 VoIP 기술은 유비쿼터스 환경에서의 다양한 서비스를 위한 기본 기술 중의 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 환경에서 효율적인 다자간 VoIP를 위하여 다양한 회의 모델들을 분석하고, 그들 중 단말혼합 방법이 왜 적절한가를 설명한다. 이러한 단말 혼합 방법을 유비쿼터스 환경에 적용하는데 장점과 더불어 문제점도 있으며, 이러한 문제점들을 해결하기 위한 방안들을 제시한다.

Satellite communication systems will play an important role in establishing high-speed information communication network ddue to the characteristics of flexibility of bandwidth, mobile communication, wide coverage, multipoint and broadcasting. Also satellite systems have the capability to supply terrestrial B-ISDN with flexible links for accessing networks as well as trunking networks. Therefore, satellites must provide compatibility to earth-based B-ISDN signalling interface, services and network capability. This paper proposed interworking model between terrestrial B-ISDN and satellite B-ISDN signalling protocol and illustrated basic call-process procedure of satellite B-ISDN signalling protocol supporting point-to-point and point-to-multipoint connection.

The multimedia services like video-conferencing and interactive multimedia services require the support for the multipoint-to multipoint connections from the networks. The routing and signaling protocols for supporting these connections in ATM networks have been a interesting topics in the Telecommunication standardization sector such as ATM-Forum. In this paper, we survey and discuss the various well-known switching algorithms for multi-way communication.

In this paper, we propose a new consolidation algorithm for point-to-multipoint ABR flow control and compare the performance of the proposed algorithms with that of an existing consolidation algorithm. We first investigate problems of the existing algorithm in consolidating backward RM cells and propose two new consolidation algorithms to resolve these problems. Also, we investigate the performance of the proposed algorithms by simulation. As results, we show that the proposed algorithms exhibit a better performance than the existing algorithm in terms of ACR, queue length, utilization, and fairness.
