Purpose: Our purpose in this study is to compare the SERVQUAL, SERVPERF, and non-difference score measures and to find out which one is better for measuring the service quality of the multiplex cinema service. We also aim to analyze the structural relationships between service quality, customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Methodology: For the study, we collected data from respondents who have used the multiplex cinema services and conducted an empirical test. SPSS 18.0 was used for descriptive frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis, AMOS 18.0 was used for structural equation modeling analysis of causal relationships among variables introduced in research hypotheses. Results: The main results of this study are as follows. First, we found that the non-difference score measure provided a much better model than did other service-measuring models (SERVQUAL, SERVPERF) in Korean and Chinese multiplex cinema. Second, two service-quality factors (Korea-tangibles and assurance vs. China-tangibles and empathy) between the multiplex cinema service quality factors significantly influenced customer satisfaction, which had a significant effect on customer loyalty in Korean and Chinese multiplex cinema. Conclusions: Based on the results, the authors discuss the implications and limitations of this study and future research directions at the end of the paper.

21세기들어 영화산업의 발달로 탄생한 복합상영관에서는 수많은 사람들이 문화생활을 즐기고 소비하는 장소가 되고 있다. 그러나 복합상영관을 이용하는 수많은 사람들은 불특정다수인으로 복합상영관의 구조와 관련정보가 매우 부족하여 현실적으로 화재시 많은 인명피해가 예상된다. 특히, 복합상영관은 대부분 대형지하공간 또는 초고층건물의 상충부에 십여개의 상영관과 다양한 문화시설이 자리잡아 일시에 수많은 인파가 몰리는 대표적 다중이용시설이다. 만일 화재 등 재난이 발생하였을 경우, 수많은 관객들의 생명과 안전을 보장하기는 상당히 어려울 것이다. 그러므로, 이와같은 문제점을 극복하기 위하여 복합상영관에서의 화재·피난안전상 체계적인 방재대책이 필요하다. 본 연구는 복합상영관의 개념정립과 공간 및 위치에 따른 위험도 분석을 통하여 컴퓨터시뮬레이션을 실시하고 이를 바탕으로 적정한 방재대책의 방향성을 제시하였다.

The study intends to provide basic information about waiting area in cinema. For the purpose above mentioned, it analysis properties of waiting area in 13 multiplex cinema sited on the metropolitan area & opened since 1990's. In addition, it analysis behavior and requirements of audiences. Among 13 multiplex cinema, it especially considered' ‘CGV Kang Byoun 11’ & ‘Goe Pyoung MMC’, studying distribution charts, circulation and behavior of audiences in waiting area. As a result the prior factors to consider in planning step of design are circulation scheme considering separation of admitting & exiting circulation, and space organization according to behavior of audiences.

본 연구는 서비스 분야에 속하는 멀티플렉스 영화관 산업의 특징을 고려하여 한국과 베트남 멀티플렉스관에서 제공되는 서비스 요소들을 살펴보고, 서비스 요인들이 고객의 소비 가치와 재방문 의도에 미치는 영향 관계를 멀티플렉스 산업이 성장하는 베트남 시장과 성숙한 한국시장 간을 비교하여 분석하고자 하였다. 실증분석 결과, 서비스 요인들은 고객의 소비 가치에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었으며, 양 국가 고객 모두 실용적 가치와 쾌락적 가치가 재방문 의도에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 특히, 한국 고객들은 베트남 고객들에 비해 실용적 가치가 재방문 의도에 더 큰 영향을 미치는 반면, 베트남 고객들은 한국 고객들보다 재방문하는데 있어 쾌락적 가치를 더 중요시 하는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

Major companies have launched into the film industry since 1990s, which resulted in competition in facilities. In addition, restriction for the number of the prints was removed. Under these circumstances, the cinema has been transformed and developed from the established one-hall cinema into multiplex cinema with large-scaled halls. Contrary to the established cinema, modern cinema are a cultural place within easy access. They accommodate diverse social and cultural needs and their functions have been extending gradually. The waiting areas should not function only as the waiting space for the audience but also the places to attract the audience and provide them with various cultural and art information, and temporary restful break. For this study, the inter-relationship between the structure of the area and the audience are identified objectively by analyzing audience distribution and their routes within the area. The purpose of the study is to provide basic data about the design of the waiting area based on the findings above.

본 연구는 멀티플렉스 영화관 관람객을 대상으로 영화관 선택속성에 대한 중요도 및 성취도를 분석해 보고자 하였다. 이에 멀티플렉스 영화관을 방문하여 영화를 관람하고자 하는 관람객을 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 대응표본 T-test를 실시하였으며 유의한 차이가 있는 속성과 각 선택 속성들 간의 순위를 살펴보았다. 또한 요인분석을 통하여 주요서비스, 인적서비스, 물리적 환경, 보조서비스의 4가지 하위요인을 도출하였으며, IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis)기법을 이용하여 집중 영역, 유지 영역, 저순위 영역, 과잉노력 지양 영역의 항목들을 도출하였다. 분석결과는 아래와 같다. 제 I사분면은 노력집중영역은 상영시간대의 다양성, 상영영화장르의 다양성, 모바일 앱 이용의 편리성, 주차시설의 규모와 편리성으로 나타났다. 제 II사분면인 지속유지 영역은 웹사이트 예매의 편리성, 카드제휴를 통한 할인혜택, 직원의 친절성, 직원의 정확한 서비스 정보전달, 편안한 좌석, 스크린 크기, 영화관 사운드 품질, 주변 환경과의 연계성, 대중교통의 편리성 등으로 나타났다. 제 III사분면인 저순위 영역은 멤버십제도, 직원복장의 단정함, 대기시간을 위한 휴식 공간, 주변접근성, 스넥코너의 다양성, 전반적 청결도로 나타났다. 제 IV사분면은 과잉노력 지양 영역으로 상영관 온도의 적정성과 서비스 숙련도로 나타났다.

This dissertation is focalized on examining research on the actual condition and problem in the exit-space-form of Multiplex Cinema and mutual relation of user and finding more efficient and reasonable project method through valuation of design elements which the user can feel. In result, 4 place which is newly opened after 1990's is analyzed in Seoul. It is researched that Many user feel inconvenience and discomfort when they recognize exit-space. In order to improve itthey want to feel at ease naturally with light-embeded sign and landscape space. The exit-space should be recognized that it is a part of cinema which have to be developed and planed for the inner part of cinema and security of user. Not death-space.

Multiplex have many screen in one place and provide customer Multiple Entertainment Option. Today multiplex cinema is a new culture place for the public to approach most easily in Korea. It also gave a chance to recognize how important a popular culture place is. but it has a problem that this space wasn't designed for customer and don't have even a rest area for them as they focused only on economic growth. therefore, in this study, it point's the utilization of Service Areas problems and provide basic data of interior design for customer.

The background noise and transmission loss of wall were measured on site for the multiplex cinema. The results from the simulation analysis was compared with the measurements from the site for different frequencies to review the acoustical parameters, and the analysis results in the relatively small error. Therefore, it is concluded that the reliable estimation can be made once accurate data such as sound source and sound absorption coefficient of interior material is utilized during the simulation process. However, the calibration is necessary for the test room with the small room volume.

The hall and the projection room of the multiplex cinema being constructed on the sixth and seventh floors at Jeonpo-dong market, Pusan, is composed of structural beams and decks considering the structures self weight problem, and the following problems are expected: - Vibration and noise generated on the floors by moving audiences may annoy the audiences in the other hall - Vibration and noise generate on the floor of the nearby hall as the audiences walk through the alley near the projection room - Vibration and noise generate on the floor of the hall nearby the projection room as the film drops This study measured and reviewed the vibration amount of the seven representative transferring routes that were selected for the halls and the alley near the projection room. Based on the analysis, the model hall was constructed and the vibration in the hall was estimated after cutting the deck. Also, this study constructed the steel stairs and investigated the vibration transferring characteristics to decide whether to construct the steel stairs in the building. Finally, the results were evaluated by actually using the stairs and reviewed the appropriateness of the measurement.
