Angiosarcoma is a very rare malignant tumor of endothelial cell origin. We experienced a case of angiosarcoma presented with massive pleural effusion, which was considered as a metastasis from right kidney. A 44-year-old male patient was admitted due to dyspnea for one month. He had a history of transient hematuria 3 months before admission, which disappeared spontaneously. Chest roentgenography showed total haziness in left hemithorax with multiple nodular shadows in right lung. Abdominal ultrasonogram showed a single heterogeneous hyperechoic mass, measuring about $7.3{\times}7.1{\times}6.5cm$ in size in the upper and mid-pole of the right kidney, involving renal sinus. Computed tomography of the chest revealed highly enhanced multiple pulmonary and subpleural nodules with loculated pleurisy. In bronchoscopic finding, a fungating, hypervascular tumor mass was noticed at the orifice of anterior basal segment of left lower lung after removal of tenaceous mucus. Pleural and bronchoscopic biopsies showed findings of angiosarcoma confirmed by immunochemical stains with factor VIII related antigen(+), laminin(+) and vimentin(+), and by characteristic electronmicroscopic findings. Massive pleural effusion was controlled with several times of pleurodesis in both pleural spaces.

Differentially Responsible Adaptive Critic Learning technique is proposed for learning the control technique with multiple control inputs as in robot system using reinforcement learning. The reinforcement learning is a self-learning technique which learns the control skill based on the critic information Learning is a after a long series of control actions. The Adaptive Critic Learning (ACL) is the representative reinforcement learning structure. The ACL maximizes the learning performance using the two learning modules called the action and the critic modules which exploit the external critic value obtained seldomly. Drawback of the ACL is the fact that application of the ACL is limited to the single input system. In the proposed Differentially Responsible Action Dependant Adaptive Critic learning structure, the critic function is constructed as a function of control input elements. The responsibility of the individual control action element is computed based on the partial derivative of the critic function in terms of each control action element. The proposed learning structure has been constructed with the CMAC neural networks and some simulations have been done upon the two dimensional Cart-Role system and robot squatting problem. The simulation results are included.

A very compact narrowband high-temperature superconducting microstrip filter using multiple coupled line resonators is designed and fabricated to effectively use the limited space of the wafer. The fabricated 12 pole filter has a center frequency of 1.79 GHz and a 3dB bandwidth of 7.63 MHz(0.43% fractional bandwidth). The filter also shows sharp skirt characteristics of 71 dB/MHz and 41dB/MHz blow and above the passband, respectively, and has an insertion loss of less than 0.5dB and a return loss of more than 15dB in the passband.

Objective : To investigate the cases of intracranial abnormal brain MRI findings even in the negative brain CT scan after mild head injury. Methods : During a 2-year period (January 2009-December 2010), we prospectively evaluated both brain CT and brain MRI of 180 patients with mild head injury. Patients were classified into two groups according to presence or absence of abnormal brain MRI finding even in the negative brain CT scan after mild head injury. Two neurosurgeons and one neuroradiologist validated the images from both brain CT scan and brain MRI double blindly. Results : Intracranial injury with negative brain CT scan after mild head injury occurred in 18 patients (10.0%). Headache (51.7%) without neurologic signs was the most common symptom. Locations of intracranial lesions showing abnormal brain MRI were as follows; temporal base (n=8), frontal pole (n=5), falx cerebri (n=2), basal ganglia (n=1), tentorium (n=1), and sylvian fissure (n=1). Intracranial injury was common in patients with a loss of consciousness, symptom duration >2 weeks, or in cases of patients with linear skull fracture (p=0.00013), and also more frequent in multiple associated injury than simple one (35.7%>8.6%) (p=0.105). Conclusion : Our investigation showed that patients with mild head injury even in the negative brain CT scan had a few cases of intracranial injury. These findings indicate that even though the brain CT does not show abnormal findings, they should be thoroughly watched in further study including brain MRI in cases of multiple injuries and when their complaints are sustained.

The position sensors used in a magnetic bearing system are desirable to provide some degree of fault-tolerance as the rotor position is necessary for the feedback control to overcome the open-loop instability. In this paper, we propose an inductive position sensor that can cope with a partial fault in the sensor. The sensor has multiple poles which can be combined to sense the in-plane motion of the rotor. When a high-frequency voltage signal drives each pole of the sensor, the resulting current in the sensor coil contains information regarding the rotor position. The signal processing circuit of the sensor extracts this position information. In this paper, we used the magnetic circuit model of the sensor that shows the analytical relationship between the sensor output and the rotor motion. The multi-polar structure of the sensor makes it possible to introduce redundancy which can be exploited for fault-tolerant operation. The proposed sensor is applied to a magnetically levitated turbo-molecular vacuum pump. Experimental results validate the fault-tolerance algorithm.

In this paper, we focused on the performance of reverse link in 1.8GHz CDMA 1x system including the Tower-Mount LNA in an urban environment. In order to study the benefit of TMLNA, Hata model is used and the effects of multiple cells are considered. Cell coverage extension ratio is proportional to the increased gain of TMLNA in CDMA cell site. However the cell coverage is not extended even if the noise figure of TMLNA is reduced in an urban area. When typical RSSI is between -70dBm and -80dBm, the increased gain and the reduced NF of TMLNA are not impact to the pole capacity of cell site. Namely, the benefit of TMLNA in an urban area is not the problem of capacity but the proble of sensitivity. The results are also shown that reverse link $E_b/N_o$ is improved by minimum 5dB and BER is lower than $10^{-6}$.

A magnet gear composed of two layers of permanent magnets repeated circumferentially can transmit the power without mechanical contact. In the topology called by the magnet shutter gear known as the most competitive concept among the existing concepts, the number of pole-pairs on the high speed rotor corresponds to that of low speed rotor through electric steel set functioning as a magnetic modulator. The methodology is classified into radial type and axial type according to its magnetic path as in the motor. However, the magnetic modulator has multiple poles located separately. So, it is very complicated to assemble each module of the magnet gear mechanically and to sustain a mechanical stiffness of the modulator. The practical trouble can be solved partially through reconfiguring the modules. This paper deals with the novel magnetic shutter gear topology varying the magnetic path and its effectiveness is verified through real hardware implementation.

This paper is to present a new method of cogging torque reduction for axial flux PM machines of multiple rotor surface mounted magnets. In order to start softly and to run a power generator even the case of weak wind power, reduction of cogging torque is one of the most important issues for a small wind turbine, Cogging torque is an inherent characteristic of PM machines and is caused by the geometry shape of the machine. Several methods have been already applied for reducing the cogging torque of conventional radial flux PM machines. Even though some of these techniques can be also applied to axial flux machines, manufacturing cost is especially higher due to the unique construction of the axial flux machine stator. Consequently, a simpler and low cost method is proposed to apply on axial flux PM machines. This new method is actually applied to a generator of 1.0kW, 16-poles axial flux surface magnet disc type machine with double-rotor-single-stator for small wind turbine. Design optimization of the adjacent magnet pole-arc which results in minimum cogging torque as well as assessment of the effect on the maximum available torque using 3D Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is investigated in this design. Although the design improvement is intended for small wind turbines, it is also applicable to larger wind turbines.
The coreless linear synchronous motor (coreless LSM) has been widely used as a driving source of semiconductor production processes for machine speeding up, positioning accuracy and simple maintenance. However, this coreless LSM suffers the disadvantage of decreased thrust force created by the leakage of magnetic flux. With the goal of increasing the generated thrust force and decreasing the cogging force, the slot of the core part was removed and a moving-coil-type slotless LSM (moving-coil-type slotless LSM) is proposed in this paper. Although this moving-coil-type slotless LSM with a back-yoke at the primary side demonstrated an increase in the generated thrust force, it remained capable of generating the cogging force when the primary side was moved due to the position between the permanent magnet and the back-yoke. Therefore, we attempted to decrease the cogging force of the moving-coil-type slotless LSM. We found that the back-yoke length at the primary side needs to be made $0.5{\tau}$ longer than the integral multiple of the magnetic pole pitch in order to decrease the cogging force created by the moving-coil-type slotless LSM.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of fashion brand attachment on attitudes toward brand extension. Two hundred thirty-four female college students participated in this study. For this study, Bean Pole brand was selected for the example of brand extension through three pre-test. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, multiple regression, and ANOVA were used for this study. As the results, first, brand attachment was classified into three factors such as 'love', 'trust', and 'interest' factors. Second, attitudes toward brand extension were divided into two factors such as similarity of brand extension and purchasing intention. Generally, higher scores on brand attachment was correlated with higher scores on altitudes toward brand extension. Third, results revealed that generally 'love' and 'trust' factors had affected 'attitudes toward brand extension' or 'purchasing intention'. Fourth, among the three groups (heavy/middle/low) of brand attachment, the heavy group showed higher preference of brand extension attitudes. Based on these results, fashion brand marketing strategies would be suggested.
