The purpose of the study was to examine the effect of internal traits of perceivers on sensory images of fashion materials and dress wearers. Perceiver's internal traits included aspects of Gender-body Ideology (GBI), as well as fashion lifestyles and fashion interest. The research was conducted on a quasi experimental basis, with subjects numbering 187 male and 207 female college students. Data were collected in the period from March 19th to March 31st, 2007. Two sets of stimuli and three measuring tools (to assess GBI, fashion life styles and fashion interest) were used. The stimuli were thirteen fabric specimens and thirteen photographs of dress styles, manipulating by two variables: (a) motif colors (white, grey, pinks and blue); (b) motif categories (plain, paisley, floral, stripes, and zebra effect). The data were analysed by factor analysis, ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test. The major findings were as follows: Gender-body ideology was separated into agonic and hedonic dimensions. Fashion life style was separated into 3 dimensions(shopping life-style pursuit, social activity pursuits and brand life style pursuits). The internal traits of perceivers influenced preferences and buying intentions. Shopping life-style pursuits had more impact on preferences and buying intentions than other internal traits.
Purpose: This study was conducted to identify factors influencing the weight control behavior of female college students. Method: The subjects included female college students in the U City area, and data were collected through a self reported structured questionnaire from July 01 to 28 of 2017. Totally 220 subjects were analyzed. Analyses consisted of descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. Results: The findings showed dissatisfaction of female college students' perceptions of their bodies based on BMI, body satisfaction and obesity stress, which had special impacts on their weight control behaviors. Weight control behaviors was closely influenced by obesity stress (${\beta}=.848$, p<.001) accounted for 48.7% of the weight control behaviors (F=71.97, p<.001). Conclusion: These findings indicate that it is necessary to develop and implement information programs and design appropriate prevention programs that can induce healthy weight control behaviors. Such programs should include health education, as well as intervention programs to identify such predictors and help college students judge and perceive positive body image so that they control their weight in a proper manner.

The results showed that physical appearance improvement is one of the motives of muscle building especially for younger men. Muscle building in general is found to contribute positively to men's body satisfaction.
The survival rate of children with cancer has increased significantly from less than 30% in 1960s to 75% during the recent years with the development of modern medical technologies. As a result, the cancer of children today is no longer classified as incurable diseases. Rather, it is recognized as a chronic illness. However, children with cancer are still suffering from physical and psychosocial ailments caused by long-term hospitalization. In particular, teenagers are more likely to be affected by these problems because of interests on one's appearance and peer relationships This study investigated the relationship of the level of body distortion and disease adjustment of children with cancer, and how demographic factors, disease factors, and the level of body distortion affect disease adjustment. Data were collected between October 22, 2007 and November 16, 2007 and the total respondents consisted of 82 children, ages 10 to 18. SPSS 12.0 with descriptive statistics, t-test, correlation and multiple regression were used for data analysis. The results showed that the factors which influence the disease adjustment of children with cancer were age, school enrollment, and the level of body distortion. The result of this study has major implications for the government to provide support for children with cancer to stay in school. Additionally, programs that assist children to build positive body images need to be developed in accordance with their ages and psychosocial characteristics.

This study examined the relationships among body perception, anxiety, psychological flexibility, and abnormal eating habits of college students. Data was collected through a self reported structured questionnaire from 289 Korean college students using convenient sampling methods from April 20 to June 30, 2013. Multiple linear regression revealed the subjective body perception (${\beta}$=0.28, p<.001), ideal body image (${\beta}$=-0.15, p=.004), anxiety (${\beta}$=0.21, p<.001), and psychological flexibility (${\beta}$=-0.13, p=.032) to be significant predictors of abnormal eating habits of college students. These variables accounted for 26% of abnormal eating habits (F=17.42, p<.001). Therefore, as a strategy for reducing abnormal eating habits, therapeutic nursing intervention will be needed to improve the psychological flexibility and control anxiety as well as correct the distorted body perception.
