Currently for the development of internet and network technology, since request of service for the large volume multimedia data has been more increased, multimedia users want the convenience and accuracy of multimedia service system about storing and retrieving of the multimedia contents. To satisfy the request of users, metadata management for the diverse information of multimedia contents is very important. However, the metadata management for the multimedia contents is difficult because the metadata standards are different each other for the type of multimedia data and service. In this paper, we propose the integration metadata management system structure which extends previous metadata management system based on text for the multimedia contents metadata which are expressed differently each other according to the multimedia data or service type.

In these days, production and management of various digital contents increased because of growing internet users. Now the digital contents production system is producing video which is based on keywords and contents. This paper proposes the sensibility-based contents management system which can analyze and manage contents of video production system. Due to the sensibility-based multimedia contents management system, it is possible to analyze and manage sensibility contents what users want. As a result, by building a database, we can provide intelligent and meaningful services. In addition, contrary to low grade's contents-based production system, we can cope actively with users' demands.

This paper proposes a Distributed Transaction models based on the multimedia framework (MPEG-21) in digital convergence environment. Digital media market is growing up rapidly according to the extension of internet and universality of multimedia contents. So, importance of the effective management with the production and distribution of produced multimedia contents is becoming larger. For effective management of multimedia contents, the multimedia contents which are represented with different standard each other can be processed adaptively in the variable network environment. A free compatibility among the different terminals and standards are the essential particular should be offered for the digital convergence environment. A multimedia framework supports this compatibility and various multimedia services. In this paper, the Distributed Transaction models that multimedia contents can be circulated among the individual users safely and freely are proposed and the relation technologies are described.

With the development of information technology and digitalization in these days, information network of library has been accomplished rapidly. The use and concern on Multimedia contents are increasing in the digital library based on information network. In this study I examined the definition of Multimedia contents and analysed the contents services and contents management for the use of Multimedia contents in digital library. As a result. the effect of information technology is important for changing of information environment. Moreover, the multimedia which are resources whose information demand of the user is various contents with it is changing the possibility of knowing it was with application.

This study investigates design strategies for improving the educational quality of multimedia contents for early childhood education. It emphasizes both traditional education theory and developmental aspects in its exploration of interactive and educational qualitative multimedia contents for early children. Accordingly, for an effective early childhood education, it is necessary to experience of the playful learning for the conception of ideas and the understanding of the social life. Because this study 1) possibility of multimedia contents for early childhood education, 2) computer application method for early childhood education, 3) examines used in the designing of multimedia contents for early childhood education according to traditional education theory. Multimedia early childhood education system is possible to organize information such as test, image, sound and video based on hyperlink system. I use Microsoft's Ms-office and Asymetrix's ToolBook software that are useful for hyperlink and parameter. Multimedia contents and other pages are used by Dynamic Data Exchange(DDE). Therefore multimedia contents for early childhood education is a useful tool for students of early childhood education department, parents, and children.

In this paper, I presented that transformation of library from the collection management to knowledge contents management along with paradigm shift under the web-based multimedia information environment is required. Effective web contents management call maximize users'satisfaction with personal customizing services for library users. Especially, contents customizing service using the metabrowsing service contributes to maximize the user'satisfaction by supplying core contents that the user seeks. In this paper, I studied the scheme of knowledge contents management to increase of user'satisfaction, concentrating on the management factors of web-based multimedia knowledge contents and service strategy.

Recently a rapid development of Information Technology including Internet have brought new way of education such as Distance education, Cyber University, Home Schooling and so on. This change of education have also brought about the change of a tool and medium for education. It is a using multimedia contents in education. Using the multimedia learning contents on line education is considered as one of new way of education and expected to bring learner's better performance. Therefore, it's necessary to research online education contents and its design. In this paper, we discussed how the multimedia contents should be designed to help to reinforce what the learner have learned and researched a critical factor of online contents to effect on learner's better performance.

Today, the data broadcasting service provides various multimedia contents to users. This paper suggests a resource management system which controls multimedia resources in order to reduce the receiving time of the contents during the realtime data broadcasting of multimedia traffic information. To verify the efficiency of the resource management system, this paper has introduced the realtime traffic information integrating and authoring systems through MOT (Multimedia Object Transfer) protocol-based BWS (Broadcast Web Site) service in which multimedia data are transmitted by T-DMB (Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) and implemented a resource management system which controls the creation of multimedia resources in connection with the said systems. As the receiving time of the contents created with resources from the resource management system has decreased by 1/13, they are suitable for realtime data broadcasting.

The purpose of the study was to develope e-Learning multimedia resource management system to support developing of e-Learning contents. This system is to create and manage multimedia resources like video, audio, and image more easily. We analyzed and redesigned media asset management system that would be used in broadcast, press, and industry. This system has SCORM metadata and is consisted of Windows 2003 server and RDBMS. The survey was conducted to investigate usability and satisfaction for the developed system.

As the Internet is used extensively, multimedia information becomes more prevailing and accessible. However, legacy decision support systems rarely mention how to put such multimedia contents into practical use for decision making and support. In particular, no proposals have yet been made on how to integrate the decision technologies and multimedia databases in model management systems. Hence, the aim of this paper is to propose a new model management method to integrating decision technologies and an image database management system to create a multimedia decision support. For this purpose, extended ARG and structured modeling techniques are adopted, to represent image contents and mathematical models respectively. A web-based prototype system is presented to illustrate the feasibility and usability of the methodology.
