이미지 데이터베이스를 구성하여 사용자가 원하는 정보를 추출하는 의미 기반 검색을 지원하기 위해서는 이미지 내용에 관한 의미 정보들이 데이터 모델로 구조화되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 정적 이미지 내용 정보들에 대한 내용 기반 검색과 의미 기반 검색을 제공하는 이미지 데이터 모델을 소개하고 이를 이용하여 이미지가 담고 있는 의미 정보를 표현하고 데이터베이스 스키마로 변환하여 저장하는 구조와 검색하는 방법을 소개한다. 본 이미지 데이터 모델은 이미지내에 포함된 시각 객체들의 내용 정보를 그래프 구조로 표현하고 객체들간의 의미 관계를 정의한다. 이는 이미지 내용에 대한 정확한 정보 표현과 질의와 검색을 가능하게 한다.

This paper presents an authoring system for users to create and edit multimedia documents more easily. Our system supports dynamic authoring to feedback the inconsistency that could be occurred when users authorize and flexible media synchronization. For these, we define a new time relation based on causal relation and provide an internal representation using trees and structured document parsing. The system consists of the components such as visual interface, parsing, and presentation engine. It has been implemented on Microsoft Windows 95 with Visual C++.

Hypermedia systems allow the retrieval and representation of multimedia in- formation such as text, graphics, image and voice/sound using navigation and browsing mechanisms. In this study we developed a hypermedia system which provides hierarchical group, local map and cluster view for effective navigation in hyperspace. The system also supports hot link, reference link, move-to link and multiple link to browse the multimedia information space effectively. This system has been designed to integrate the navigation, browsing and searching function of the hypermedia system in hyman factor perspective and provides the user-friendly user interface mechanism.

인물 정보 검색 시스템은 사용자에게 종합적이고 정확한 정보와 편리한 사용자 인터페이스를 제공해야 한다. 하지만 현재 웹 상에서 이 시스템의 방대한 화장 한자 자료를 표현하는데 EUC-KR은 많은 어려움을 가지고 있다. 그리고 어려운 인명용 한자와 전문 한자 용어로 인해 일반인들의 사용이 어려웠다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 확장된 한자를 표기하기 위하여 UTF-8 인코딩 방식을 사용한다. 그리고 사용자가 알기 원하는 한자의 한글 독음 변환 처리를 통해 데이터베이스의 효율성과 사용자가 쓰기 편한 인터페이스를 제공한다.

Contemporary narrative and documentary share across boundaries between the 'actuality' and the 'creative treatment.' The documentary has blended modes of representation from various genre to reflect the world changing. The narrative movies also has applied the historicality of 'evidence' and 'documents' from documentary to obtain the new form of realism. Boyhood shows a differentiated realism to retain both the narrative structure and the documentary temporality, containing 12 years of timeline with the limited artificial space time. Boyhood also takes the analogical concept of 'the dramatization of the actual materials' from the early documentary films.

Multimedia service via satellite Is supported voice, data, Image and video signals. The representation case model of satellite multimedia are satellite TV. satellite Internet. In the early 1990s, satellite communication and broad casting services successfully expanded form C/Ku band to Ka band. The benefits of operation at Ka-band are greater bandwidth available to accommodate the increased demand for high-speed Information exchange. By the early years of the 21s1 century, millions of households worldwide with dual Ku / Ka-band dishes Satellite multimedia systems receive hundreds of TV channels, originating from around the world, and delivering entertainment, information and education. Many Ku-band satellites have been ordered, but few Ka-band systems are moving into production. So Ka-band systems are characterized that low-cost access to low and high peed, two-way voice, data, and video communications.

This paper describes procedures to model and synthesize emotional speech in a multimedia environment. At first, procedures to model the visual representation of emotional speech are proposed. To display the sequences of the images in synchronized form with speech, MSF(Multimedia Speech File) format is proposed and the display software is implemented. Then the emotional speech sinal is collected and analysed to obtain the prosodic characteristics of the emotional speech in limited domain. Multi-emotional sentences are spoken by actors. From the emotional speech signals, prosodic structures are compared in terms of the pseudo-syntactic structure. Based on the analyzed result, neutral speech is transformed into a specific emotinal state by modifying the prosodic structures.

This paper suggests a multimedia educational system which has the ability to extract intelligent instruction on the distributed environment. The proposed system is designed for supporting individual instruction and real time user interaction. As the system based on CORBA, we put group managing module on it for multi user environment, so it has ability for distributed computing facilities. Using MHEG standard, we can provide multimedia courseware and real time user interaction. To diagnose students' responses and generate evaluations, we use several linguistic variables of fuzzy theory. There are two major advantages for using this system. This system can provide dynamic generation of problems and the ability to provide a dynamic instruction strategy. And it can increase reusability of courseware material for using standard of multimedia representation and communication. We use CORBA and MHEG to overcome the disadvantage of the Web, passive protocol and poor interactivity, HTTP.

Richmedia Service means that interactive media service can provide view with various multimedia elements(such as Video, Audio, Text) at same time. Various Multimedia elements can be serviced by Scene Description technology standards like BIFS(Binary Format for Scenes) and LASeR(Light Application Scene Representation). By providing Scene Component information, richmedia service is available to various multimedia services. so users is available to personalized services fitting temporal and spatial options. In conventional technology, when the scene is changed by user or service, mobile deletes the scene of configuration information and makes new scene of configuration information. this is a very inefficient way. In this paper, Propoesed that by using DOM(Document Object Model) method, to pass only the dynamic configuration part, changes scene method.

In recent years, theories of image and sound analysis have been proposed to work with text retrieval systems and have progressed quickly with the rapid progress in data processing speeds. This study proposes a common representation format for multimedia documents (CRFMD) composed of both images and text to form a single data structure. It also shows that image classification of a given test set is dramatically improved when text features are encoded together with image features. CRFMD might be applicable to other areas of multimedia document retrieval and processing, such as medical image retrieval, World Wide Web searching, and museum collection retrieval.
