A Study on Management of Heterogeneous Object for Effective Presentation of Multimedia Application (멀티미디어 응용의 효율적 프리젠테이션을 위한 이종 객체 처리에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we describe a design method to manage heterogeneous objects for effective presentation of multimedia application. In order to utilize the individual feature of a heterogeneous object, we define a specialized class for each media object, and it also gives a method to process each specialized class combined with various figures that can support user-definition during the authoring phase for a multimedia presentation. The proposed data structures and processing methods are designed to easily extend the functions for handling a data objects by adding another specialized class definitions to existing object classes.

  • In this paper, we present an algorithm for adjusting the position of a user-specified object considering image aesthetics. Specifically, the user-specified object is positioned according to the rule of thirds by inserting or deleting unimportant seam lines from the image. To find such seam lines, a novel weight map is designed using the spatial and color distances from the object. We also design and analyze two approaches to seam carving and insertion. Experimental results show that the proposed method can be used as an effective semi-automatic image recomposition scheme.

  • With recent progress of related multimedia computing technologies, it is necessay to retrieve diverse types of multimedia data based on multi-media content and their relationships. However, different from alphanumeric data, it is difficult to provide relevant multimedia information, be-cause multimedia contents and their relationships are implied in multimedia data. Therefore, in case of a multimedia news service system that is a representative multimedia application, most of new services provide relevant news about text articles and retrieval of multimedia news such as video news or image news are provided independently. In this paper, we present an XML-based multimedia news management system, which provides integrating, retrieval, and delivery of relevant multimedia news. Our data model composed of media object, relationship object, and view object represents diverse types of multimedia news content and semantically related multimedia news. In addition, a proposed view mechanism makes it possible to customize multimedia news, and therefore provides multimedia news efficiently.

  • Users want to browse various stoups of nested attribute values of an object. On the other hand, in case of the presentation of a multimedia object, the form-based presentation is superior to the graph-based presentation. Therefore we propose o form-based presentation transformation scheme that allows users to reorganize the presentation layout to ft the limited screen and to show the values of all the needed attributes. For the representation of the presentation scenario of an object a presentation information class and the presentation transformation operations are defined. We show how these operations transform the default presentation into the wanted presentation by navigating through a multimedia object with the COMIB (COMposite Icon Browser).

Uncertain Region Based User-Assisted Segmentation Technique for Object-Based Video Editing System (객체기반 비디오 편집 시스템을 위한 불확실 영역기반 사용자 지원 비디오 객체 분할 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a semi-automatic segmentation method which can be used to generate video object plane (VOP) for object based coding scheme and multimedia authoring environment. Semi-automatic segmentation can be considered as a user-assisted segmentation technique. A user can initially mark objects of interest around the object boundaries and then the selected objects are continuously separated from the un selected areas through time evolution in the image sequences. The proposed segmentation method consists of two processing steps: partially manual intra-frame segmentation and fully automatic inter-frame segmentation. The intra-frame segmentation incorporates user-assistance to define the meaningful complete visual object of interest to be segmentation and decides precise object boundary. The inter-frame segmentation involves boundary and region tracking to obtain temporal coherence of moving object based on the object boundary information of previous frame. The proposed method shows stable and efficient results that could be suitable for many digital video applications such as multimedia contents authoring, content based coding and indexing. Based on this result, we have developed objects based video editing system with several convenient editing functions.

  • This paper presents the moving objects segmentation algorithms from the sequence images in the stationary backgrounds such as surveillance camera and video phone and so on. In this paper, the moving object area is extracted with proposed object searching algorithm and then moving object is segmented within the moving object area. Also the proposed algorithms have the robustness against noise problems and results show the proposed algorithm is able to efficiently segment and track the moving object area.

Efficient Dynamic Object-Oriented Program Slicing

  • Traditional slicing techniques make slices through dependence graphs. They also improve the accuracy of slices. However, traditional slicing techniques require many vertices and edges in order to express a data communication link because they are based on static slicing techniques. Therefore the graph becomes very complicated, and size of the slices is larger. We propose the representation of a dynamic object-oriented program dependence graph so as to process the slicing of object-oriented programs that is composed of related programs in order to process certain jobs. We also propose an efficient slicing algorithm using the relations of relative tables in order to compute dynamic slices of object-oriented programs. Consequently, the efficiency of the proposed efficient dynamic object-oriented program dependence graph technique is also compared with the dependence graph techniques discussed previously As a result, this is certifying that an efficient dynamic object-oriented program dependence graph is more efficient in comparison with the traditional object-oriented dependence graphs and dynamic object-oriented program dependence graph.

  • Visual Object Tracking is known as the most fundamental problem in the field of computer vision. Object tracking localize the region of target object with bounding box in the video. In this paper, a custom CNN is created to extract object feature that has strong and various information. This network was constructed as a Siamese network for use as a feature extractor. The input images are passed convolution block composed of a bottleneck layers, and features are emphasized. The feature map of the target object and the search area, extracted from the Siamese network, was input as a local proposal network. Estimate the object area using the feature map. The performance of the tracking algorithm was evaluated using the OTB2013 dataset. Success Plot and Precision Plot were used as evaluation matrix. As a result of the experiment, 0.611 in Success Plot and 0.831 in Precision Plot were achieved.

  • In this paper, we propose an object tracking system which extracts moving areas+ shaped on objects in video sequences and decides tracks of moving objects. Color invariances are exploited to extract the plausible object blocks and the degree of radial homogeneity is utilized as local block feature to find out the block correspondences.

  • This paper has been designed extend object-orientid database model that introducted new class basing the Heurilistic Classfication model. In order to implement this model, we have introducted heurilistic class to Object-orinted multimedia program. And we compared copmparing group with treating group using Object-orinted multimedia program and study relationship of creation.
