The purpose of this research is to find the impact of multicultural awareness of pre-service secondary teachers on multicultural efficacy. Specific content of the study for achieving this purpose is as follows: First, the correlation between multicultural awareness of pre-service secondary teachers and multicultural efficacy was analyzed. Second, the effect relation between multicultural awareness of pre-service secondary teachers and multicultural efficacy was examined. As part of quantitative research, the method of study was a survey targeting 234 pre-service Secondary teachers who were sophomores, juniors and seniors at D University, P University and S University located in Busan. The study results earned from this process are as below: First, statistically significantly high positive correlation existed between multicultural awareness of pre-service secondary teachers and multicultural efficacy. The areas of acceptance, openness and respect, which are the sub-scale of multicultural awareness of pre-service secondary teachers, showed high positive correlations with all sub-scale of multicultural efficacy including general efficacy, efficacy in instructional function, efficacy in caring perspectives and efficacy in helping multicultural families. Second, the sub-scale of multicultural awareness that significantly affected general efficacy in the sub-scale of multicultural efficacy of pre-service secondary teachers was acceptance and respect. The sub-scale of multicultural awareness that significantly affected efficacy in instructional function was acceptance. The sub-scale of multicultural awareness that significantly affected efficacy in caring perspectives was acceptance and respect. The sub-scale of multicultural awareness that significantly affected efficacy in helping multicultural families was respect. It showed that openness in the sub-scale of multicultural awareness did not affect multicultural efficacy much.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the factors influencing positive subjective health awareness of middle school-age multicultural adolescents in Korea. Methods: This study used data from the fourth to sixth waves of the Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute. In this study, a panel logit model analysis was performed using the Eviews 8.0 program (p<.050). Results: Socioeconomic status (r=.02, t=2.13, p=.033), body satisfaction (r=.71, t=1.97, p=.048), and depression (r=-.74, t=2.35, p=.018) influenced positive subjective health awareness in multicultural adolescents. When multicultural characteristics were entered into a statistical model with environmental and personal characteristics, multicultural characteristics did not have a significant influence on positive subjective health awareness. Conclusion: Environmental, personal, and multicultural characteristics were related to positive subjective health awareness in multicultural adolescents; thus, an integrated approach considering those variables is recommended. Nursing interventions and educational programs are needed to improve the psychological status of multicultural adolescents and reduce prejudice about them. In addition, nurses need to be sensitive to multicultural characteristics and the developmental characteristics of multicultural adolescents.

This study aims to investigate the impact of pre-service early childhood teachers' civic awareness and multicultural beliefs on their ability to teach democratic citizenship education and to verify the mediating effect of multicultural beliefs in the relationship between civic awareness and the ability to teach democratic citizenship education. The subjects of the study were 226 pre-service early childhood teachers, and a survey was conducted. As a result of the study, first, the civic awareness of pre-service early childhood teachers influenced the ability to teach democratic citizenship education, and the influence of the sub-variables of civic awareness was in the order of rights awareness, responsibility, community awareness, and rational decision-making awareness. Second, the multicultural beliefs of pre-service early childhood teachers also affected the ability to teach democratic citizenship education, and multicultural understanding had the strongest influence among the sub-variables of multicultural beliefs. Thirdly, we found that multicultural beliefs partially mediated the relationship between civic awareness and the ability to teach democratic citizenship education. Additionally, the results highlight the importance of educational interventions targeting multicultural beliefs, as they partially mediate the relationship between civic awareness and the ability to teach democratic citizenship education.

Purpose: This study is a research study to investigate the effects of multicultural experience, perception, and multicultural efficacy on nursing students' multicultural acceptance. Method: The relationship between variables was analyzed using SPSS/WIN 25 program by Pearson's correlation coefficient, and the effect of multicultural experience and perception and multicultural efficacy on multicultural acceptance was analyzed by multiple regression analysis. Results: TVariables affecting multicultural acceptance were multicultural awareness (β=0.30, p<001) and multicultural efficacy (β=0.49, p<.001), and multicultural efficacy had a significant effect on multicultural acceptance. In the results of the regression model, among the variables of multicultural awareness and multicultural efficacy, the multicultural efficacy variable had a greater effect on multicultural acceptance, and both variables had a positive effect on multicultural acceptance. The explanatory power of the regression model for multicultural acceptance was 57.5% (F=59.33, p<.001). Conclusion: Factors affecting multicultural acceptance of nursing students are multicultural awareness and efficacy. Support should be provided to provide opportunities to broaden acceptance.

한국 사회에서 다문화인이 겪는 편견과 차별로 인한 어려움을 해결하기 위해서는 시민들의 다문화 인식이 고양될 필요가 있으며, 공공도서관은 시민이 다문화에 대한 이해의 폭과 기회를 넓혀 나가는 문화 교류의 장으로 시민의 다문화 인식에 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 공공도서관 및 지역의 특성에 따라 공공도서관 일반 이용자의 다문화 인식에 차이가 있는지 살펴보고, 어떤 특성이 다문화 인식에 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 그 결과, 도서관별로 도서관 이용자의 다문화 인식에 유의한 차이가 있음을 파악하였고, 이를 통해 도서관 특성이 이용자의 다문화 인식에 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 공공도서관이 전반적인 서비스 제공에 있어 문화다양성 측면을 고려하여야 할 필요가 있음을 제시하였다.

이 연구의 목적은 유아교사들의 다문화인식과 다문화태도가 다문화효능감에 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇인지를 알아보고자 하였다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 I시에 소재한 유아교육기관에 근무하고 있는 유아교사 394명을 대상으로 질문지를 사용하여 실시하였다. 응답결과에 대하여 첫째, 유아교사들의 다문화인식, 다문화태도, 다문화효능감이 근무지별에 따라 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 유아교사들의 다문화인식, 다문화효능감에서 유의미한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 유아교사들의 다문화인식과 다문화태도가 다문화효능감에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과로 볼 때, 다문화교육에 대한 유아교사들의 인식과 태도가 변화되어야 다문화효능감은 향상될 수 있으므로, 유아교사들을 위하여 다문화교육 연수프로그램 등을 지속적으로 실시할 수 있는 다양한 연구가 진행되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

이 연구의 목적은 초등학생의 다문화인식과 다문화효능감은 배경변인별로 어떠한 차이와 상관관계가 있는지 및 다문화인식이 다문화효능감에 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇인지를 알아보고자 하였다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 전라북도 초등학교 학생 329명을 대상으로 질문지를 사용하여 실시하였다. 응답결과에 대하여 첫째, 배경변인별 모두 다문화인식, 다문화효능감에서 의미있는 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 초등학생들은 다문화인식, 다문화효능감에서 유의미한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초등학생의 다문화인식이 다문화효능감에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과로 볼 때, 초등학생들에게 다문화에 대한 올바르고 긍정적인 인식을 갖도록 지속적인 다문화교육이 이루어져야 하며, 모두가 더불어 살기 위한 삶의 철학을 기르는 다양한 연구가 진행되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

본 연구는 다문화의 급격한 변화 속에서 간호대학생의 다문화 인식, 다문화 수용성 및 상호문화감수성의 관계를 탐색하고 향후 보건의료인력으로서 다문화 인식 제고를 위한 방향을 모색하는데 있다. 본 연구는 일 개지역의 2개 대학 간호학과 학생 135명을 대상으로 설문을 조사하였으며 임의응답 및 중도탈락을 제외한 108명을 최종분석대상으로 하였다. 자료의 분석은 SPSS와 Process macro를 활용하여 빈도분석, 상관분석, 신뢰도 분석과 매개효과를 검증하였다. 연구 결과는 다문화 인식과 다문화 수용성의 관계는 통계적으로 유의한 관계가 확인되었다(r=.572, p<.001). 상호문화감수성과 다문화수용성(r=.650, p<.001), 다문화 인식(r=.456, p<.001)과의 관계도 유의한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다문화 인식과 다문화 수용성 간의 관계에서도 상호문화감수성의 매개 효과가 있었다. 즉, 다문화 인식과 다문화 수용성 간의 관계에서 상호문화감수성은 0.188-0.554의 범위로 95% 신뢰구간에서 0이 포함되지 않아 간접효과가 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 고려했을 때 다문화 수용성을 높이기 위해서는 다문화 인식에 대한 제고와 더불어 상호문화 감수성을 높이는 것이 중요함을 확인하였다.

본 논문의 목적은 학부모의 고정관념과 초등학생의 다문화 인식과 다문화 경험이 초등학생의 다문화 효능감에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 남양주시 학부모와 초등학생 272명을 대상으로 질문지를 사용하였다. 응답결과, 첫째, 초등학생의 다문화 효능감은 5점 만점에 2.84로 나타났다. 둘째, 초등학생의 다문화 효능감에 영향을 미친 요인은 다문화 인식 중 개방성, 수용성, 존중성 모두 다문화 효능감에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 다문화 경험은 직접경험과 간접경험만 다문화 효능감에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과에 따라 초등학생의 다양한 다문화 경험과 인식을 위하여 다양한 교육 프로그램이 개발되어야 한다.

본 연구는 다문화가정 청소년의 타인인식이 심리사회적 적응에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 이 관계에서 자기조절능력의 매개효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 부산시의 다문화 가정 중학교 청소년 127명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 다문화가정 청소년의 타인인식은 자기조절능력과 심리사회적 적응에 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤으며, 자기조절능력은 심리사회적적응에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 다문화청소년의 타인인식과 심리사회적적응의 관계에서 자기조절능력의 매개효과를 검증한 결과, 자기조절능력은 부분매개 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 볼 때, 다문화 가정 청소년의 심리사회적 적응 향상을 위해서는 자기조절능력에 대한 다양한 프로그램들이 개발되어야 하며, 다문화가정에 대한 긍정적인 인식 제고를 위한 학교 및 지역사회의 제도적인 지원이 뒷받침 되어야 한다.
