  • In order to improve the reliability and the stability of static power conversion system, further to optimize the operational characteristics of the system, it is very important to investigate the effects (output and switching component characteristics) of each parameters in the system. Therefore this paper particualrly deals with the characteristics of a novel ZVS multi-resonant conversion system to duty cycle, resonant capacitance, resonant inductance, and output capacitance. The results show that resonant inductance and output capacitance are dominat factors in the system.

Optimal Switching Frequency in Limited-Cycle with Multiple Periods

  • Due to the customer needs of reducing cost and delivery date shorting, prompt change in the production plan became more important. In the multi period system (For instance, production line.) where target processing time exists, production, idle and delay risks occur repeatedly for multiple periods. In such situations, delay of one process may influence the delivery date of an entire process. In this paper, we discuss the minimum expected cost of the case mentioned above, where the risk depends on the previous situation and occurs repeatedly for multiple periods. This paper considers the optimal switching frequency to minimize the total expected cost of the production process. In this paper, first, the optimal switching frequency model is proposed. Next, the mathematic formulation of the total expectation is presented. Finally, the policy of optimal switching frequency is investigated by numerical experiments.

  • This study proposes an enhanced switching pattern that can improve energy transfer efficiency in an active cell-balancing circuit using a multiwinding transformer. This balancing circuit performs cell balancing by transferring energy stored in a specific cell with high energy to another cell containing low energy through a multiwinding transformer. The circuit operates in flyback and buck-boost modes in accordance with the energy transfer path. In the conventional flyback mode, the leakage inductance of the transformer and the stray inductance component of winding can transfer energy to an undesired path during the balancing operation. This case results in cell imbalance during the cell-balancing process, which reduces the energy transfer efficiency. An enhanced switching pattern that can effectively perform cell balancing by minimizing the amount of energy transferred to the nontarget cells due to the leakage inductance components in the flyback mode is proposed. Energy transfer efficiency and balancing speed can be significantly improved using the proposed switching pattern compared with that using the conventional switching pattern. The performance improvements are verified by experiments using a 1 W prototype cell-balancing circuit.

  • 최근 WDM 기술을 적용한 광네트워크에서 중계 노드로 광크로스커넥터를 적용함으로써, 중계 노드에서 트래픽 병목 현상에 의해 지연이 발생하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방안으로 EN(Edge Node)간 단일 홉을 갖는 다중링 유형의 다파장 레이블 기반의 광패킷 네트워크 구조를 제안하였다. 제안한 방식에서 이용되는 광패킷 구성 방법과 다파장 레이블을 이용하여 다중링 기반의 광네트워크를 구성 할 경우, 단일 Optical 대역과 다중 Optical 대역을 이용하여 구성 가능함을 제시하고, 두 방식의 특성을 비교 분석하였다. 이때, EN의 출력에서 광패킷 충돌이 발생하여 광패킷 손실이 발생하는데 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 광패킷을 정적 및 동적으로 타임 슬롯에 할당하는 방안을 제시함으로써 패킷 충돌 회피가 가능함을 분명히 하였다. 그리고 제안한 방식에서 지연은 EN에서만 발생하므로 CN(Core Node)에 의한 지연은 발생하지 않는다. 따라서 본 방식에서 제안한 광네트워크에 대해 EN의 패킷 손실 특성과 호손율, 지연 특성을 분석하고, 본 방식의 우수성과 실현 가능성을 나타냈다.

  • In this paper, we proposed the electric circuit using one common arm of H-Bridge Inverters to reduce the number of switching component in multi-level inverter combined with H-Bridge Inverters and Transformers. and furthermore we suggested the new multi-level PWM inverter using PWM level to reduce THD(Total Harmonic Distortion). and we used the switching method that can be same rate of usage at each transformer. Also, we tested the proposed prototype 9-level inverter to clarify the proposed electric circuit and reasonableness of control signal for the proposed multi-level PWM inverter.

A (k,t,n) verifiable multi-secret sharing scheme based on adversary structure

  • A (n,t,n) secret sharing scheme is to share a secret among n group members, where each member also plays a role of a dealer,and any t shares can be used to recover the secret. In this paper, we propose a strong (k,t,n) verifiable multi-secret sharing scheme, where any k out of n participants operate as dealers. The scheme realizes both threshold structure and adversary structure simultaneously, and removes a trusted third party. The secret reconstruction phase is performed using an additive homomorphism for decreasing the storage cost. Meanwhile, the scheme achieves the pre-verification property in the sense that any participant doesn't need to reveal any information about real master shares in the verification phase. We compare our proposal with the previous (n,t,n) secret sharing schemes from the perspectives of what kinds of access structures they achieve, what kinds of functionalities they support and whether heavy storage cost for secret share is required. Then it shows that our scheme takes the following advantages: (a) realizing the adversary structure, (b) allowing any k out of n participants to operate as dealers, (c) small sized secret share. Moreover, our proposed scheme is a favorable candidate to be used in many applications, such as secure multi-party computation and privacy preserving data mining, etc.

복잡한다 층구조 IC 패키지의 회로 모델링 및 스위칭 노이즈 분석 (A Simplified Circuit Model and Switching Noise Characterization of the Complicated Multi-Layer IC Package)

  • A new simplified circuit model for the switching noise analysis of the complicated multi-layer IC package is developed. The current flowing mechanism on the ground and power planes of the package is simplified by using the dependent current soures and partial plane circuit model. The methodology is very cost-efficient as well as accurate. It is demonstrated that the nosie based on the simplified circuit model has an excellent agreement with that of the complicated full circuit model. However, the simplified model takes only 5 minutes for the switching noise simulation, while the full circuit model takes more than 4 hours.

  • Transporting a large table using multiple robotic agents requires at least two group behaviors of homing and herding which are to bo coordinated in a proper sequence. Existing GP methods for multi-agent learning are not practical enough to find an optimal solution in this domain. To evolve this kind of complex cooperative behavior we use a novel method called fitness switching. This method maintains a pool of basis fitness functions each of which corresponds to a primitive group behavior. The basis functions are then progressively combined into more complex fitness functions to co-evolve more complex behavior. The performance of the presented method is compared with that of two conventional methods. Experimental results show that coevolutionary fitness switching provides an effective mechanism for evolving complex emergent behavior which may not be solved by simple genetic programming.

Spectral Properties of a pH Responsive Water Soluble Spironaphthoxazine and Its Multi-Switching Property

  • A water soluble spironaphthoxazine (SPO) was synthesized, and its spectral properties were determined. Under UV irradiation, colorless SPO shows intensive blue color while the intensity of its initial fluorescence decreased. In addition, SPO also exhibited high sensitivity to pH stimuli both in colorimetry and fluorometry distinguishing from the spectral appearance observed under UV irradiation. Further, integrating these two optical characteristics a three-state switching system can be established, and all interconversions can be observed by naked-eye.
