This paper presents a systematical approach to study carrier based PWM techniques (CPWM) in diode-clamped and cascade multilevel inverters by using a proposed named multi-modulating pattern method. This method is based on the vector correlation between CPWM and the space vector PWM (SVPWM) and applicable to both multilevel inverter topologies. A CPWM technique can be described in a general mathematical equation, and obtain the same outputs similarly as of the corresponding SVPWM. Control of the fundamental voltage, vector redundancies and phase redundancies in multilevel inverter can be formulated separately in the CPWM equation. The deduced CPWM can obtain the full vector redundancy control, and fully utilize phase redundancy in a cascade inverter In this continued part, it will be deduced correlation between CPWM equations in multi-carrier system and single carrier system, present the mathematical model of voltage source inverter related to the common mode voltage and propose a general algorithm for multi-modulating modulator. The obtained theory will be demonstrated by simulation results.

In this paper, we have studied the performance of the AOA (Angle of Arrival) in multi-antenna systems for LBS (Location Based Services) and we also analyzed the performance of the AOA in SISO (Single Input Single Output) in multipath environments and their differences. The adequacy of AOA positioning in new communication environments was determined. Currently used positioning methods in 3G communication environment has been developed based on SISO. However, the accuracy of SISO-based TOA (Time of Arrival), TDOA (Time Difference of Arrival), AOA positioning techniques degraded in multipath environments. The communication system will be changed and developed. According to enhanced positioning techniques are required. Using antenna characteristics and the phase difference between antennas of LTE-Advanced standard's key technique MIMO system AOA positioning, and SISO based AOA positioning performance were analyzed. We found that AOA technique potential for use based on Multiple antenna systems by computer simulations.
We investigated the combined effect of fiber chromatic dispersion and self-phase modulation (SPM) in multi-channel subcarrier multiplexed (SCM) optical transmission systems. We theoretically analyzed the transmission characteristics of the SCM signals with the effect of SPM and chromatic dispersion in a single-mode optical fiber by numerical simulations based on the nonlinear Schrodinger equation. The numerical simulation results revealed that the effect of fiber dispersion and SPM could occur independently between subcarrier channels in two-channel SCM systems for small optical modulation index (OMI) and large channel spacing. However, for large OMI, small channel spacing, and large fiber launching power, we found a performance degradation of the two-channel system compared to that of a single-channel system. These parameters are therefore important for the optimization of multi-channel SCM systems applicable to radio over fiber networks.
Thermalhydraulic reactor simulation of tomorrow will require a new generation of codes combining at least three scales, the CFD scale in open medium, the component scale and the system scale. DNS will be used as a support for modelling more macroscopic models. NEPTUNE is such a new generation multi-scale platform developed jointly by CEA-DEN and EDF-R&D and also supported by IRSN and FRAMATOME-ANP. The major steps towards the next generation lie in new physical models and improved numerical methods. This paper presents the advances obtained so far in physical modelling for each scale. Macroscopic models of system and component scales include multi-field modelling, transport of interfacial area, and turbulence modelling. Two-phase CFD or CMFD was first applied to boiling bubbly flow for departure from nucleate boiling investigations and to stratified flow for pressurised thermal shock investigations. The main challenges of the project are presented, some selected results are shown for each scale, and the perspectives for future are also drawn. Direct Numerical Simulation tools with Interface Tracking Techniques are also developed for even smaller scale investigations leading to a better understanding of basic physical processes and allowing the development of closure relations for macroscopic and CFD models.

Acoustic radiation efficiency is one of the important factors in the prediction of underwater radiated noise of ships. A ship has much equipment to operate successful mission in a ship. Most of equipment is running simultaneously as multi-excitation and becomes the source of underwater radiated noise. In many cases of multi-excitation, phase difference between multi-excitation is not considered. Because vibration response under multi-excitation is the vector sum of each single excitation, acoustic radiation efficiency based on surface velocity field can be affected by phase of excitation. In this study, acoustic radiation efficiency of a plate on air and a stiffened cylindrical model in water under multi-excitation with phase difference is investigated.

In this paper proposes a multi-carrier MFSK-DPSK/DS-CDMA combined modulation techniques in Nakagami fading environment. Also, multi-carrier DS-CDMA combined system is a promising technique for mobile communications systems, since it has a strong immunity to multipath fading and increasing bandwidth efficiency. The modulations under consideration are noncoherent M-ary frequency shift keying (MFSK)and an MFSK based joint frequency phase modulation utilizing differential phase shift keying (DPSK). With the result, performance improvement of power efficiency and bandwidth efficiency combined system in multi-carrier MFSK-DPSK/DS-CDMA are better then conventional communication system.
According to recent researches, apparent power in non-sinusoidal single phase system can be represented with geometric algebra. In this paper, the geometric algebra is applied to apparent power defined in a multi-line system having transmission lines with frequency-dependent resistances under non-sinusoidal conditions.
For the analysis of compressible multi-phase and real gas flows, characteristic form of Roe's Riemann solver was derived using real gas equation of state. It was extended to multi component reactive system considering variable specific heat. From this study, it is known that some correction should be made for the use of existing numerical algorithm. 1) Sonic speed and characteristic variable should be corrected with real gas effect. 2) Roe's average was applicable only with the assumption of constant properties. 3) Artificial damping term and characteristic variables should be corrected but their influences may not be significant.

In this paper, a new method for reducing harmonic in input AC line currents of converter presents, which is the multi-pulse converter circuit without the input transformer. This system can reduce the harmonic like conventional 12-pulse converter. Both the bridge circuits are controlled with the shifted firing angle and connected 2 tap inter-phase reactor. Using 2 tap changing on inter-phase reactor, the input current is controlled with the different two values in order to make the input current waveform 12 pulses.

In this paper, a feedback linearization control is proposed to regulate the output voltages of a three-phase four-wire inverter under the unbalanced and nonlinear load conditions. First, the nonlinear model of system including the output LC filters is derived in the d-q-0 synchronous reference frame. Then, the system is linearized by the multi-input multi-output feedback linearization. The tracking controllers for d-q-0-components of three-phase line-to-neutral load voltages are designed by linear control theory. The experimental results have shown that the proposed control method gives the good performance in response to the load conditions.
