컴퓨터 기반의 협력적 문제해결력 성취를 예측하는 학생과 학교 및 ICT 요인 : 다층모형 분석을 중심으로 (Student-, School-, and ICT-Factors Predicting Computer-based Collaborative Problem Solving: Focusing on Analyses of Multi-level Models)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 고등학교 학생들(142개 학교의 4863명)의 PISA 2015 컴퓨터 기반의 협력적 문제해결력(Collaborative Problem Solving, 이하 CPS)에 미치는 학생, 학교 수준의 배경요소와 ICT 요인을 설정하여, 설명 변수가 없는 기초모형(모형1)부터 모든 변수가 투입된 최종모형(모형5)까지 2수준 위계선형모형(Two-Level Hierarchical Linear Model, 이하 HLM)으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 성별, 사회경제문화적 배경, 협동지수는 CPS 점수를 정적으로 예측하였던 반면 학생들이 지각하는 교사의 불공평함은 CPS 점수를 부적으로 예측하였다. 둘째, 학교 밖에서 이루어지는 학습 목적의 ICT 사용빈도가 많을수록, 그리고 오락 목적의 ICT 사용빈도와 학교에서의 ICT 사용빈도가 적을수록 CPS 점수가 높았다. PISA 2015에서 최초로 측정된 ICT 태도 중 ICT에 대한 흥미가 높고 ICT 기기 사용에 대한 자율성이 높을수록 CPS 점수가 높았으며, ICT를 사회적 상호작용(SNS, 채팅)을 위한 도구로 더 중요하게 인식하고 있는 경우에는 CPS 점수가 낮았다. 셋째, 학교 수준 변수에서는 학교의 학습 분위기를 저해하는 학생 행동이 적을수록, 교사 근무환경 만족도가 높을수록, 그리고 학생 당 이용가능한 컴퓨터 수가 적을수록 CPS 점수가 높았다. 결론적으로 컴퓨터 기반의 협력적 문제해결력 소양을 높이기 위해서는 학생들이 ICT에 대한 흥미나 자율성을 가질 수 있도록 조력해야 하며, 학교현장의 ICT 기기의 효과성을 높이기 위한 ICT 활용이나 SW 교육과정에 대한 지침이 마련되어야 할 것이다.

공작기계 열변형의 실험적 보정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Experimental Compensation of Thermal Deformation in Machine Tools)

  • Thermally induced errors of machine tools have been recognized as one of the most important issues in precision machining. This is probably the most formidable obstacle to obtain high level of machining accuracy. To this regard, the experimental compensation methodologies such as software-based method or origin shift of machine tool axes have been suggested. In this research, to cope with thermal deformation, a model based correction was carried out with the function of an external machine coordinate shift. Models with multi-linear regression or neural network were investigated to selected a good one for thermal compensation. Consequently, multi-linear regression model combined with origin shift was verified good enough form the machining of dot matrices of plate with ball end milling.

  • This paper proposes about decentralized control approach based Leader-Follower formation control using LOS (Line of Sight) algorithm and unknown input observer. The position of robots which is a basic information in multi-robot or single robot motion control is determined by localization algorithm fusing UPS (Ultrasonic Position System) and kinematics model. For formation control, a decentralized control approach individually installing a local controller in leader and follower robot is adopted. Leader robot is controlled to track a specified trajectory by LOS algorithm, and the other robots follow the leader by local controller based on tracking platoon level function, self-sensing data and estimated information from unknown input observer. The performance of proposed method is proven through the formation experiment of two vehicle models.

Dynamic Collaborative Cloud Service Platform: Opportunities and Challenges

  • This letter presents a model for a dynamic collaboration (DC) platform among cloud providers (CPs) that prevents adverse business impacts, cloud vendor lock-in and violation of service level agreements with consumers, and also offers collaborative cloud services to consumers. We consider two major challenges. The first challenge is to find an appropriate market model in order to enable the DC platform. The second is to select suitable collaborative partners to provide services. We propose a novel combinatorial auction-based cloud market model that enables a DC platform among CPs. We also propose a new promising multi-objective optimization model to quantitatively evaluate the partners. Simulation experiments were conducted to verify both of the proposed models.

Numerical evaluation of hypothetical core disruptive accident in full-scale model of sodium-cooled fast reactor

  • A hypothetical core destructive accident (HCDA) has received widespread attention as one of the most serious accidents in sodium-cooled fast reactors. This study combined recent advantages in numerical methods to realize realistic modeling of the complex fluid-structure interactions during HCDAs in a full-scale sodium-cooled fast reactor. The multi-material arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian method is used to describe the fluid-structure interactions inside the container. Both the structural deformations and plug rises occurring during HCDAs are evaluated. Two levels of expansion energy are considered with two different reactor models. The simulation results show that the container remains intact during an accident with small deformations. The plug on the top of the container rises to an acceptable level after the sealing between the it and its support is destroyed. The methodology established in this study provides a reliable approach for evaluating the safety feature of a container design.

  • 최근 딥러닝 기술의 발달과 함께 신경 네트워크는 컴퓨터 비전에서도 성공을 거두고 있다. 컨볼루션 신경망은 단순한 영상 분류 작업뿐만 아니라 객체 분할 및 검출 등 난이도가 높은 작업에서도 탁월한 성능을 보였다. 그러나 그러한 많은 심층 학습 모델은 지도학습에 기초하고 있으며, 이는 이미지 라벨보다 주석 라벨이 더 많이 필요하다. 특히 semantic segmentation 모델은 훈련을 위해 픽셀 수준의 주석을 필요로 하는데, 이는 매우 중요하다. 이 논문은 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 네트워크 훈련을 위해 영상 수준 라벨만 필요한 약지도 semantic segmentation 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 약지도학습 방법은 대상의 특정 영역만 탐지하는 데 한계가 있다. 반면에, 본 논문에서는 우리의 모델이 사물의 더 다른 부분을 인식하도 multi-classifier 심층 학습 아키텍처를 사용한다. 제안된 방법은 VOC 2012 검증 데이터 세트를 사용하여 평가한다.

  • 멀티 레벨(Multi-level) QAM(Quadrature Amplitude Modulation)은 전송대역의 효율적인 사용을 위한 전송방식의 하나로 많은 연구가 이루어져 실용화가 진행되고 있다. 이러한 전송방식을 사용하는 수신기에는 전송과정 중 채널에서 발생하는 ISI(Intersymbol Interference) 및 위상 오차(phase error)를 보상하기 위해서는 등화기(equalizer)와 위상 복구(carrier recovery) 회로를 사용해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 멀티 레벨 QAM 시스템에 적용할 수 있는 효과적인 수신기의 모델을 제안한다. 제안된 수신기에는 Godard 알고리즘을 사용하는 자력(blind) 등화기와 등화기의 출력 신호에 포함된 위상 에러를 복원하기 위해 $\theta$-정합을 이용하여 위상 오차를 복원하는 위상 복구 회로를 포함한다. 또한 다양한 채널모델에 대하여 제안한 수신기의 성능을 평가한다.

적기의 위협 평가 자동화를 위한 퍼지 규칙 방법론 (Fuzzy Rule-Based Method for Air Threat Evaluation)

  • Threat evaluation is a process to estimate the threat score which enemy aerial threat poses to defended assets. The objective of threat evaluation is concerned with making an engagement priority list for optimal weapon allocation. Traditionally, the threat evaluation of massive air threats has been carried out by air defence experts, but the human decision making is less effective in real aerial attack situations with massive enemy fighters. Therefore, automation to enhance the speed and efficiency of the human operation is required. The automatic threat evaluation by air defense experts who will perform multi-variable judgment needs formal models to accurately quantify their linguistic evaluation of threat level. In this paper we propose a threat evaluation model by using a fuzzy rule-based inference method. Fuzzy inference is an appropriate method for quantifying threat level and integrating various threat attribute information. The performance of the model has been tested with a simulation that reflected real air threat situation and it has been verified that the proposed model was better than two conventional threat evaluation models.

Multi-fidelity modeling and analysis of a pressurized vessel-pipe-safety valve system based on MOC and surrogate modeling methods

  • A pressurized vessel-pipe-safety valve (PVPSV) combination is a commonly used configuration in nuclear power plants, and a good numerical model is essential for the system design, sizing and performance optimization. However, owing to the large-scale and cross-scale features, it is still a challenge to build a system level numerical model with both high accuracy and efficiency. To overcome this, a novel system level modeling method which can synthesize the advantages of various models is proposed in this paper. For system modeling, the analytical approach, the method of characteristics (MOC) and the surrogate model approach are respectively adopted to predict the dynamics of the pressure vessel, the connecting pipe and the safety valve, and different models are connected through data interfaces. With this system model, dynamic simulations were carried out and both the stable and the unstable system responses were obtained. For the model verification purpose, the simulation results were compared with those obtained from experiments and full CFD simulations. A good agreement and a better efficiency were obtained, verifying the ability of the model and the feasibility of the modeling method proposed in this paper.

A Hierarchical Model for Mobile Ad Hoc Network Performability Assessment

  • Dynamic topology is one of the main influence factors on network performability. However, it was always ignored by the traditional network performability assessment methods when analyzing large-scale mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) because of the state explosion problem. In this paper, we address this problem from the perspective of complex network. A two-layer hierarchical modeling approach is proposed for MANETs performability assessment, which can take both the dynamic topology and multi-state nodes into consideration. The lower level is described by Markov reward chains (MRC) to capture the multiple states of the nodes. The upper level is modeled as a small-world network to capture the characteristic path length based on different mobility and propagation models. The hierarchical model can promote the MRC of nodes into a state matrix of the whole network, which can avoid the state explosion in large-scale networks assessment from the perspective of complex network. Through the contrast experiments with OPNET simulation based on specific cases, the method proposed in this paper shows satisfactory performance on accuracy and efficiency.
