M-ary OSTBC MIMO 시스템의 성능 연구 (Performance of M-ary OSTBC MIMO System)

  • Alamouti 알고리즘에 기반한 M-ary $2{\times}N$ OSTBC(Orthogonal Space Time Block Coded) MIMO(Multi Input Multi Output) 시스템의 성능을 두개의 파라미터, 즉 constellation 숫자(M)와 수신안테나 숫자(N)를 변화시키며 컴퓨터 모의실험에 의하여 알아보았다. $2{\times}N$ MIMO 스템의 성능과 단일 송신안테나 시스템의 성능비교를 위하여 MRC(Maximum Ratio Combining) 다이버시티 안테나 시스템의 성능 역시 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통하여 수행하였다. 10 dB EbNo QPSK 시스템의 경우 Alamouti $2{\times}1$ MIMO가 단수안테나 시스템에 비해 4.2 dB의 BER을 향상시켰으며 $2{\times}2$ MIMO는 $1{\times}2$ MRC 대비 7.4 dB의 BER을 향상시켰다.

  • A Variable Structure Model Reference Adaptive Controller (VS-MRAC) using state Variables is proposed for single input multi output systems. . The structure of the switching functions is designed based on stability requirements, and global exponential stability is proved. Transient behavior is analyzed using sliding mode control and shows perfect model following at a finite time. The effect of input disturbances on stability and transients is investigated and shows preference to the conventional MRAC schemes with integral adaptation law. Sliding surfaces are independent of system parameters and therefore VS-MRAC is insensitive to system parameter variations. Simulation is presented to clear the theoretical results.

  • The pendulum is a SIMO(Single-input multi-output) system that both angle of pendulum and position of cart controlled simultaneously by one actuator. In this paper, propose a hybrid neuro-controller to apply to pendulum system. We design the conventional optimal controller and the neural network as a identifier, which can identify the uncertainty of plant not modeled, respectively. Then we combine them into a novel controller, with a structure that the error between plant and identifier is added in conventional optimal control input Finally, the paper shows the validity of the proposed controller through computer simulations and experiments.

  • We designed the Intermediate Frequency(IF) distributor for multi beam backend system and manufactured Voltage to Frequency Converter(VFC) to measure the multi-beam receiver performance. Multi beam receiver has 15 channel receivers and can get 15 spectrums at once. The multi beam receiver has more observation efficiency than single beam receiver. We manufactured the 15 IF distributors to distribute IF signal for Autocorrelation spectrometer that is radio signal processor. Also, we manufactured the VF Converter to test the performance measurement of receiver for Korea VLBI Network(KVN) system which is under-construct in Seoul, Ulsan and Jeju. As a result of performance measurement, we could obtain linearity of 99.4% on the input power vs output frequency and measured the operating range of input frequency.

  • 일반적으로 다변수 계통에 대한 퍼지 제어에서 퍼지 규칙을 얻기가 어려워 입출력 사이의 페어링을 이용한 독립적인 단일 입력 단일 출력의 병렬 구조를 이용한다. 그러나, 결합되지 않은 입출력 변수간의 상호작용으로 제어 성능에 나쁜 영향을 준다. 특히, 강한 결합 특성을 가진 계통의 경우 제어 성능을 아주 저하시킨다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 상호작용에 의한 영향을 보상해주기 위해 상대 이득 행렬을 이용한 신경 회로망을 도입하였다 제안한 뉴로 퍼지 제어기는 역전파 알고리즘으로 학습되며 강호작용에 대한 결합강도를 자동으로 조정하여준다. 제안한 뉴로 퍼지 제어기의 성능을 200MW급 보일러 계통에 대한 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통해 입증하였다.

  • In this paper, we suggest a modified Gradient method for the identification of plant parameter. And also, through this new identification method, a direct adaptive control theory is proposed for a single-input single-output discrete system. Direct adaptive control theory proposed in this papar ensures global stability and the results of compute simulation show that the proposed algorithm can be applied to both stable and unstable plant.

  • An automatic tuning method of a PID controller which is used for single input single output processes is proposed. In the proposed tuning method, the frequency response data model is adopted along with the performance index which is an integral of time weighted square error between reference model and process frequency response data model for tuning. This method is easier to retune when either the process dynamics is changed or the reference model is changed. Finally, an example is provided to show the usefulness of the method.

  • Typical temperature control methods of a cooler for machine tools are hot-gas bypass and compressor variable speed control. The hot-gas bypass system has been widely used to control the cooler temperature in many general industrial fields. On the contrary, the compressor variable speed control is focused on special fields such as aerospace and high precision machine tools which need high precision control. The variable speed control system usually has two control variables such as target temperature and superheat. In other words, the variable speed control system is basically multi-input multi-output(MIMO) system. In spite of MIMO system, the proportional integral derivative(PID) feedback control methodology that based on single-input single-output (SISO) system is generally used for designing the variable speed control system. Therefore, it is inevitable to describe transfer functions for dynamic behaviors of every controlled variables and decide the PID gains with tremendous iteration process. Moreover, the designed PID gains do not provide optimum system performances. To solve these problems, high performance controller design method based on a state space model is suggested in this paper. An optimum controller is designed to minimize both control errors and energy inputs. This method was more simple to describe dynamic behaviors and easier to design the cooler controller which is MIMO system.

A Feedback Wideband CMOS LNA Employing Active Inductor-Based Bandwidth Extension Technique

  • A bandwidth-enhanced ultra-wide band (UWB) CMOS balun-LNA is implemented as a part of a software defined radio (SDR) receiver which supports multi-band and multi-standard. The proposed balun-LNA is composed of a single-to-differential converter, a differential-to-single voltage summer with inductive shunt peaking, a negative feedback network, and a differential output buffer with composite common-drain (CD) and common-source (CS) amplifiers. By feeding the single-ended output of the voltage summer to the input of the LNA through a feedback network, a wideband balun-LNA exploiting negative feedback is implemented. By adopting a source follower-based inductive shunt peaking, the proposed balun-LNA achieves a wider gain bandwidth. Two LNA design examples are presented to demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed approach. The LNA I adopts the CS amplifier with a common gate common source (CGCS) balun load as the S-to-D converter for high gain and low noise figure (NF) and the LNA II uses the differential amplifier with the ac-grounded second input terminal as the S-to-D converter for high second-order input-referred intercept point (IIP2). The 3 dB gain bandwidth of the proposed balun-LNA (LNA I) is above 5 GHz and the NF is below 4 dB from 100 MHz to 5 GHz. An average power gain of 18 dB and an IIP3 of -8 ~ -2 dBm are obtained. In simulation, IIP2 of the LNA II is at least 5 dB higher than that of the LNA I with same power consumption.

MIMO 채널에서 고속 무선 통신을 위한 LDPC 부호를 갖는 터보 병렬 시공간 처리 시스템 (Turbo Perallel Space-Time Processing System with LDPC Code in MIMO Channel for High-Speed Wireless Communications)

  • 터보 처리는 무선 단일 입출력 통신 시스템과 마찬가지로 무선 다중 입출력 (MIMO: multi-input multi-output)통신 시스템에서도 재귀 처리를 통하여 Shannon Limit 근접하는 방법으로 알려져 왔다. 재귀 처리는 복호와 간섭 제거의 상호 영향을 극대화시킬 수 있으나 LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) 부호는 내부의 복호 처리의 지연으로 인해 터보 처리에 사용되지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 고속 무선 통신을 위한 터보 병렬 시공간 처리를 갖는 LDPC 부호화된 다중 입출력 시스템을 제시하고 낮은 신호 대 잡음 비 (SNR: Signal to Noise Ratio) 에서 복호된 프레임의 신뢰도를 판정하기 위한 평균 연출력 신드롬 (ASS: Average Soft-Output Syndrom) 기법을 제안한다. 모의 실험 결과는 제시된 시스템이 기존 시스템보다 성능이 뛰어나고 제안된 ASS 기법은 낮은 SNR에서 성능저하 없이 터보 처리의 평균 재귀 횟수를 효과적으로 줄이는 것을 보여준다.
