This research aims to suggest the composition of multi-functional furniture for single households, responding to the changes of consumption pattern caused by the recent trends of the single-person household living in a small residential space. It is expected that a multi-functional furniture for single households in the current context should be increased the efficiency of spaces. Using a customized questionnaire, we examined the preferences of multi-functional furniture composition for single households. A questionnaire was developed by collecting images using key words related to multi-functional furniture and analyzing the final images by multi-functionality, furniture classification system and behavior. The most preferred multi-functional furniture composition are counter-tops and chest of drawers, followed by chest of drawers and beds, counter-tops and tableware, lighting and beds, closets and drawers. This research contributes significantly in that it suggests the basic data of optimized flexible multi-functional furniture design for single-person household by linking various behaviors and furniture in the house.

다기능 주변기기는 원래 이미지 처리 작업을 중심으로 수행하는 장치였지만 팩스 기능이 결합하여 전자화된 이미지 데이터를 전송하는 기능과 네트워크 기능이 추가되어 비약적으로 발전하였다. 또한, 다기능 주변기기는 인터넷 응용, 애플리케이션 확장, 원격 공유, 이미지 처리의 기능이 추가되었다. 하지만 다기능 주변기기는 네트워크 연결로 인한 위협으로 발생하는 데이터 노출 및 도청 등의 보안 취약점이 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 다기능 주변기기에 대한 평가 기준이 필요하지만, 현재는 다기능 주변기기에 대한 공통된 보호프로파일이 존재하지 않아서 제품에 대한 안전성을 평가하는데 구체적인 평가 기준을 적용하지 않아 평가 품질의 균일성을 유지하는 것이 어려웠다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 다기능 주변기기에 대한 위협을 분석하여 안전한 다기능 주변기기를 사용하기 위해서 공통평가기준을 기반으로 다기능 주변기기에 대한 보호프로파일을 개발하였다.

An experimental study was performed on the time lag, lift and drag characteristics of a multi functional spoiler which is a device to increase lift and drag contrary to conventional spoiler which decrease lift and increase drag. In this study, a wind tunnel investigation was made of the effect of incidence angle, slot width, and chordwise location of multi functional spoiler on the time lag, lift and drag characteristics of a wing. The results indicate that the time lag of a multi functional spoiler is influenced mainly not only by the chordwise location of a spoiler but also by the slot width between spoiler and wing upper surface. Multi functional spoiler can reduce time lag effectively by slotting the trailing edge of spoiler with slot ratio (slot width devided by the wing chord length) between 0.05 and 0.1. Also, it shows that the lift and drag coefficients of the wing with the multi functional spoiler and trailing edge flap are increased by 20% and 80%, respectively, compared to the wing with trailing edge flap only.

The specific purpose of this was to investigate if ir was feasible to design and execute garments that were multi-functional in purpose for women living in an expended world of social and occupational interaction which rerequired flexibility and convenience in their clothing appropriate to their multiple roles in society. The study was to carry out based on the selected situations(business situation-social situation and private situation-social situation) and designs deduced from the situations. The garments could permit flexibility in style through adjustable features which could be attached to, or detached from, the garment depending on the occasion and need of the wearer. As the results of the study, the characteristics of multi-functional garments were found as follows : First, the garments could bring about flexibility in garment formation through adjustable details, overlay and patch, in order to increase the multi-functional usage of the garments. Second, the style of garments could be expressed design images to meet the needs of flexibility and convenience for the various occassions. Third, the multi-functional garments could meet the needs for time and economic values for the women who play multple roles.

Due to the shortage of elderly care services in urban areas, multi-functional welfare facilities are proven to be very effective for delivering various service needs of elderly in Japan. Introduction of new longterm care policy for elderly in Korea would change many aspects of elderly care service facilities. Especially elderly home care services like adult daycare centers will expand drastically after beginning of elderly longterm care insurance. The purpose of this research is to study and analyze multi-functional welfare facilities in Japan focusing on the types of day service in those facilities. Planning of daycare centers in multi-functional welfare facilities for the elderly can be classified to 8 types. Those types are daycare centers with senior housing, longterm care insurance facilities, senior centers, small multi-function facility, medical facilities, educational facilities, community facilities and general housing projects. Each type has different benefits for the networking of services for the elderly. Design of daycare centers in multi-functional welfare facilities have distinctive features in entrance and user approach, space allocation and circulation planning. The study of daycare centers and multi-function planning should be followed to make better home care environments for the elderly in Korea.

In this paper, we introduce the general form of a viginti functional equation. Then, we find the general solution and study the generalized Ulam-Hyers stability of such functional equation in multi-Banach spaces by using fixed point technique. Also, we indicate an example for non-stability case regarding to this new functional equation.

This research is a study on development of section restoration mortar by multi-functional slag aggregate. Compressive strength, flexural strength and other physical properties on five standards are measured to obtain optimal addition rate (of multi-functional aggregate) and to investigate applicability of multi-functional aggregate in developing repair mortar. As the study result, the properties of repair mortar, such as compressive strength and flexural strength etc. are improved by addition of multi-functional aggregate and confirmed reduction effect of air content.

Multi-functional voltage source inverters (VSIs) have attracted increasing attention in recent years for their advantageous auxiliary services for power quality enhancement in autonomous microgrids. These types of VSIs can not only achieve a proper control scheme in autonomous mode but also cope with the prescribed power quality and stability requirements. These functionalities are integrated within the same device, thereby significantly improving the cost-effectiveness of microgrids while decreasing the investment and bulk compared with those of multiple devices with independent functionalities. Control strategies for power quality enhancement in autonomous microgrids using multi-functional VSIs are comprehensively reviewed in this paper. In addition, such VSIs are discussed in detail, and comparisons of which are also provided. Lastly, a number of future research directions for multi-functional VSIs are recommended.

The study investigated the effect of multi-functional fabric on the autonomic nervous function and psychological variables of 20 students. The experimental group exhibited lower values in anxiety, depression, fatigue and stress level and higher emotional level. This study reveals that multi-functional fabrics reduced the low frequency/high frequency power ratio of heart rate variability. These results support the multi-functional fabrics increases cardiac parasympathetic tone. In addition, experimental group were found to have lower heart rate compared with controls. This augmented heart rate in experiment provides support for stablizing autonomic nervous system. In conclusion, multi-functional fabrics may stabilize the autonomic nervous system and psychological symptoms.
