Design of A Simple Disk-type 3-DOF Actuator (단순 원판형 평면 3자유도 액추에이터 설계)

  • A disk-type 3-DOF actuator which has new principle and very simple structure is proposed. Also it utilizes the relation of bias and control fluxes produced by permanent magnets and coils, respectively, like other conventional electromagnetic actuators, but its main feature is that both the coils and permanent magnets are fixed in the stator, which makes it easy to design the shape of moving part. Operating principle is that a moving disk is driven by reaction force of Lorentz force acting on the fixed equivalent coil. Simple analytic approach and FEM analysis are performed to determine the design parameters so as to increase the driving force and distance. And some experimental results show the feasibility of the proposed actuator.

  • This paper presents the magnetic equivalent circuit analysis of a double-excited, two-degree-of-freedom (DOF) motor. The double-excited, 2-DOF motor is a laminated structure, making it easy to manufacture and giving it simple operating principles. We explain the structure of the 2-DOF motor and analyze the static characteristics using a magnetic equivalent circuit (MEC) to reduce analysis time. The feasibility of MEC analysis was confirmed by experimental results of the tilting, panning motion. We also confirmed the occurrence of holding torque in every motion.

  • A new 6-DOF parallel haptic device is proposed. Many existing haptic devices require large power due to having floating actuator and also have small workspaces. The proposed new mechanism can generate 6-DOF reflecting force. This device is relatively light by employing non-floating actuators and has large workspace. Kinematic analysis and kinematic optimal design is performed for this mechanism. Dexterous workspace, global isotropic index, and global maximum force transmission ratio are considered as kinematic design indices. To deal with such multi-criteria optimization problem. composite design index is employed. For the given operational specifications, actuator sizing for this mechanism is also carried out.

  • The fluid system such as, the quantity control of raw water, chemicals control in the purification, the waste water system as well as in the feed water or circulation system of the power plant and the ventilation system is controlled with the valve and moter pump. The system's performance and the energy saving of the fluid systems depend on control of method and delicacy. Until, PI controller use in these system but it cannot control delicately because of the coupling in the system loop. In this paper we configure a single flow system to the multi variable system and suggest the application of 2-DOF PID controller and the tuning methods by the neural network to the electrical power of the flow control system. the 2-DOF controller follows to a setpoint has a robustness against the disturbance in the results of simulation.   • In this paper, we presented a design and control method of multi-stage with wagon and lift stage. Multi-stage system has 4 degree-of-freedom(DOF), i.e., forward/backward/left/right/rotate and up/down motion. Wagon mechanism in the type of two wheel and steering is proposed in order to improve for the maneuverability compared to the existing differential-type wagons. Also, the lift mechanism is designed by interlocking type in order to make the maximum height bigger than 10 times of the original height. We also proposed a path planning algorithm. The performance of the propped system is validated via multi motion experiments, so that the multi-stage system is useful for various performances production.
