  • This paper presents a back-calculation technique leer the prediction of the behavior of earth wall inserted in multi-layered soil deposit. The soil properties are back-calculated from the measured displacement at each construction stage and the behavior of earth wall far the next construction stage is predicted using back-calculated soil properties. For multi-layered soil deposit, the back-calculation would be very difficult due to the increase in the number of variables. In this study, to solve this difficulty, the back-calculation was performed successively from the lowest layer to the upper layers. An efficient elasto-plastic beam-column analysis was used for forward analysis to minimize the computation time of iterative back-calculation procedure. The coefficients of subgrade reaction and lateral earth pressure necessary for the formation of p-y curve were selected as back calculation variables, and to minimize the effect of abnormal behavior of the wall which might be caused by any unexpected action during construction, the difference between measured displacement increment and computed displacement increment at each construction stages is used as the objective function of optimization. The constrained sequential linear programming was used for the optimization technique to found values of variables minimizing the objective function. The proposed method in this study was verified using numerically generated data and measured field data.

  • In this study, we aim to converge a technology for analyzing the hydraulic circuit of a loading arm with an- other one for analyzing multi-body dynamics by utilizing analysis software SimulationX. Further, this study intends to overcome the limitations of the existing technology for analyzing a hydraulic circuit with a variation at the rotation center of the moving mass and the difficulty of incorporating the behavior in a gravity field. First, the specifications of the hydraulic circuit components were reflected in an analysis model to secure reliability. Hydraulic circuit modeling was then performed using a single analysis model with a verified reliability. Subsequently, the multi-body system (MBS) model of the loading arm was formed. Finally, the analysis model of the hydraulic circuit and the MBS model were converged to check if the circuit analysis result was exactly reflected in the MBS model. The convergence analysis model has development cost-saving effect because it is capable of predicting the dynamic behavior of an object without the prototype.

  • The reliable estimation of the system parameters and the accurate prediction of the system behavior are important to design tunnel safely and economically. Therefore, the back analysis using the field measurements data is useful to evaluate the geotechnical parameter for tunnel. In the back analysis method, the selection of initial value and uncertainty of field measurements influence significantly on the analysis result. In this paper, to overcome uncertainty of field measurements, we performed the back analysis using the displacement data gained at each step of excavation and support.

  • This study aims to methodology a system which is able to monitoring and analysis of long span bridge in real time using multi GPS. Through setting up many GPS at the important points of long span bridge and measuring displacement in real time, over all 3D configuration of bridge could be analyzed. Behavior analyzing system developed in this study is able to digitize and visualize the overall and points displacement of bridge and deal with events actively. Also it is able to calculate statistical data related to analyze behavior through the constricting database of measuring data.

  • In order to study the shear mechanical behavior of prefabricated and assembled multi-key group stud connectors, this paper conducted push-out tests on 10 prefabricated and assembled multi-key group stud connectors, distributed in 5 groups, and detailed the failure modes of each specimen. Based on the finite element software, a total of 22 models of this type of stud connector are established, and validated the finite element models using the push-out tests. Furthermore, the effects of stud diameter, number of key groups, and spacing of key groups on the shear resistance of prefabricated and assembled multi-key group stud connectors are analyzed. Combined with the test and finite element, the force analysis is carried out for the stud and first-pouring and post-pouring concrete. The results show that the spacing and number of key groups have a significant impact on the shear capacity and shear stiffness of the specimen. For a single stud, the shear force is transferred to the surrounding concrete via the stud's root. When the stud is finally cut, the steel and the concrete plate are separated. Under vertical shear force, the top row of studs experiences the highest shear, while the middle row has the least. Based on statistical regression, a formula of assembled multi-key group stud connectors is proposed.

  • The purpose of this study is to find what male consumers value in their clothing behaviors, as well as to investigate how the consumers' shopping values and store VM impact on their clothing purchase behaviors. For data collection, research questionnaires were responded by 202 male students living in Busan. The collected data were analyzed according to the frequency-factor analysis using SPSS for win 10.1 Package, the factor analysis using Varimax, reliability analysis, and multi-regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows; First, the shopping values were composed of hedonic, utilitarian, and economic value, and VM was divided into store facility, store image, layout, and fashion information. Second, multi-regression analysis was conducted to find the impact of consumers' shopping values on their clothing purchase behaviors. The result showed that the hedonic shopping value and utilitarian shopping value significantly affected the consumers' clothing purchase behaviors, while economics shopping value did not show any statistical significance. Third, multi-regression analysis was conducted to find the impact of store VM on consumers' clothing purchase behaviors. The result showed that store image, layout, and fashion information had a significant impact on consumers' clothing purchase behaviors.

  • Nowadays, the user-centric application based web 2.0 has replaced the web 1.0. The users gain and provide information by interactive network applications. As a result, traditional approaches that only extract and analyze users' local document operating behavior and network browsing behavior to build the users' preference profile cannot fully reflect their interests. Therefore this paper proposed a preference analysis and indicating approach based on the users' communication information from MicroBlog, such as reading, forwarding and @ behavior, and using the improved PersonalRank method to analyze the importance of a user to other users in the network and based on the users' communication behavior to update the weight of the items in the user preference. Simulation result shows that our proposed method outperforms the ontology model, TREC model, and the category model in terms of 11SPR value.

  • Considering the above points, this study has been conducted to find out the effects brought by perceived organizational justice towards organizational citizenship behavior, with focus on multi-dimension and multi-class nature of trust. With this objective, I researched the following. First, which type gives larger effect to organizational citizenship behavior, the type of distributive justice (that is lower dimension of organizational justice) or that of procedural justice. Second, what effects are given to the 5 types of trust, by distributive justice and procedural justice. Also, what effects are given to organizational citizenship behavior by the 5 types of trust. Third, which type of justice gives larger effect to organizational citizenship behavior when trust is served as a medium. Fourth, which items should be dealt in priority to lead members of organization towards a desirable direction. The research for this purpose was conducted on the basis of comprehensive analysis of variable including. socio-population variable.

  • Over recent years the offshore wind turbines are becoming more feasible solution to the energy problem, which is crucial for Egypt. In this article a three floating support structure, tension leg platform types (TLP), for 5-MW wind turbine have been considered. The dynamic behavior of a triangular, square, and pentagon TLP configurations under multi-directional regular and random waves have been investigated. The environmental loads have been considered according to the Egyptian Metrological Authority records in northern Red sea zone. The dynamic analysis were carried out using ANSYS-AQWA a finite element analysis software, FAST a wind turbine dynamic software, and MATLAB software. Investigation results give a better understanding of dynamical behavior and stability of the floating wind turbines. Results include time history, Power Spectrum densities (PSD's), and plan stability for all configurations.
