윤리적 슬로건 티셔츠의 선택 기준과 착용에 따른 태도변화 (Attributes Importance and Wearing Effect of Ethical Slogan T-shirts)

  • Some groups do ethical activities (such as ethical slogan t-shirt campaigns) only to complete the requirements for ethical duty; consequently, some people question the effectiveness of those products. The attributes of ethical slogan t-shirts should be considered seriously to reduce skepticism when planning a campaign. Researchers can also suggest a new purpose for ethical t-shirts using an ethical message. In study 1, we conduct a conjoint analysis that suggests realistic multi-attribute choice decisions. The suggested multi-attributes wear design aesthetic (high/low), price (high/low), where we donate (close/far), and the size of firm (big/small). In addition, participations were divided into two groups according to eco-friendly attitudes to confirm differences in choices between two groups. Study 1 showed that price is the most important attribute, but design aesthetic also remains important. In addition, a group that has a high eco-friendly attitude thought "where we donate" was more important than other groups. In study 2, a pre-post approach investigated wearers' attitude changes. We also divided participants into two groups and one group wear high level design aesthetic t-shirts (and vice-versa) to measure the attitude change difference. As a result of study 2, the wearers partially changed their eco-friendly attitudes. The group that wore high design aesthetic t-shirts showed a greater difference than other groups. Through this study, we conclude that customers seriously considered the design aesthetic. Finally, wearing ethical slogan t-shirts can change the attitudes of wearers.

대중교통전용지구의 조성목적에 따른 계획요소별 중요도 평가 (Weights of Attributes in Creating Transit Malls)

  • 이 연구는 대중교통전용지구의 조성목적에 따른 계획요소별 중요도 평가에 관한 것이다. 대중교통전용지구의 조성목적은 교통수요관리형과 지역활성화추진형으로 구분하였다. 이를 바탕으로 계획요소를 토지이용, 도시설계, 교통, 사회문화 특성으로 분류하고 이를 4As(Attraction, Amenity, Accessibility, Activity)라 명명하였다. AHP(Analytical Hierarchy Process) 기법을 통해 각 조성목적별로 계획요소의 중요도를 평가한 결과, 교통수요관리형은 교통(52.7%), 토지이용(25.6%), 도시설계(13.7%), 사회문화(8.0%) 순으로, 지역활성화추진형은 토지이용(36.1%), 교통(30.6%), 도시 설계(17.7%), 사회문화(15.6%) 순으로 도출되었다. 또한, 조성목적별로 세부계획요소의 중요도에서도 차이가 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 대중교통전용지구의 조성목적을 구분할 필요가 있음을 뒷받침하며, 다양한 계획요소의 반영을 위해서는 교통부문 단독계획이 아닌 타 계획과의 연계가 필수적임을 시사한다. 또한 승용차 접근성이 배제요인이 아닌 선택요인이라는 것과 사회문화적 특성에 대한 고려도 필요함을 확인하였다.

도시공원녹지의 생태성 및 기후변화 대응성 평가 기초 연구 (A Preliminary Study on Assessment of Urban Parks and Green Zones of Ecological Attributes and Responsiveness to Climate Change)

  • Problems in regard of ecological stability of urban ecosystem ensue from climate change and urbanization. Particularly, urban ecological conditions are deteriorating both quantitatively and qualitatively to a great extent. The present study aims to assess the current condition of selected sites (i. e. urban green zones and parks) in terms of preset assessment components; to find out problems and relevant solutions to improve the quality and quantity of parks and green zones; and ultimately to suggest some measures applicable to coping with climate change as well as to securing the ecological attributes of urban green zones and parks. According to the findings of this study, from quantitative perspectives, ecological attributes and responsiveness to climate change are high on account of the large natural-soil area(80%). By contrast, from qualitative perspectives including the planting structure (1 layer: 47%), the percentage of bush area(17%), the connectivity with surrounding green zones (independent types: 44%), the wind paths considered (5.6%), the tree species with high carbon absorption rates (20%), water cycles (17%), energy (8%) and carbon storage capacities(61%), ecological attributes and responsiveness to climate change were found very low. These findings suggest that the ecological values of urban parks and green zones should be improved in the future by conserving their original forms, securing natural-soil grounds and employing multi-layered planting structures and water bodies, and that responsiveness to climate change should be enhanced by planting tree species with high carbon storage capacities and obtaining detention ponds. In sum, robust efforts should be exerted in the initial planning stages, and sustained, to apply the methodology of green-zone development along with securing ecological attributes and responsiveness to climate change.

항만물류서비스의 평가에 관하여 (On the Evaluation of Physical Distribution Service in Ports)

  • It is required to consider pricing and non-pricing factors and external economy in order to achieve the objects of physical distribution system in a port. Recently, among the three factors, much attention has been paid to non-pricing factor in the system. Although physical distribution service in a port(PDSP)has been frequently mentioned in documents and literature related to port and shipping studies, few study on it has not been systematically and scientifically made due to the following problems; $\circ$ there are not proper criteria to evaluate level and quality of PDSP and as a result it is difficult to set up a unified standard for doing so. $\circ$ algorithms to evaluate problems with complex and ambiguous attributes and multiple levels in PDSP are not available. This thesis aims to establish a paradigm to evaluate PDSP and to abvance existing decision making methods to deal with complex and ambiguous problems in PDSP. To tackle the first purpose, extensive and thorough literature survey was carried out on general physical distribution service, which is a corner stone to handle PDSp. In addition, through interviews and questionnaire to the expert, it have extracted 82 factors of physical distribution service in a port. They have been classified into 6 groups by KJ method and each group defined by the expert's advice as follows; a. Potentiality b. Exactness c. safety d. Speediness e. Convenience f. Linkage Prior to the service evaluation, many kinds of its attributes must be identified on the basis of rational decision owing to complexity and ambiguity inherent in PDSP. An analytical hierarchy process (AHP) is a method to evaluate them but it is not applicable to PDSP that have property of non-additivity and overlapped attributes. Therefore, probablility measure can not be used to evaluate PDSP but fuzzy measure is required. Hierarchical fuzzy integral method, which is merged AHP with fuzzy measure, is also not effective method to evaluate attributes because it has vary complicated way to calculate fuzzy measure identification coefficient of attributes. A new evaluation algorithm has been introduced to solve problems with multi-attribute and multi-level hierarchy, which is called hierarchy fuzzy process(HFP).Analysis on ambiguous aspects of PDSP under study which is not easy to be defined is prerequisite to evaluate it. HFP is different from algorithm existed in that it clarified the relationship between fuzzy measure and probability measure adopted in AHP and that it directly calculates the family of fuzzy measure from overlapping coefficient and probability measure to treat and evaluate ambiguous and complex aspects of PDSP. A new evaluation algorithm HFP was applied to evaluate level of physical distribution service in the biggest twenty container port in the world. The ranks of the ports are as follows; 1. 전자정부 포털사이트 평가요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Factors for Evaluating e-Government Portal Sites)

  • By far, numerous e-government projects requiring huge investments have been conducted in Korea to increase the administrative efficiency and improve the service quality via Internet. However, there's little research focusing on methods and techniques for analyzing and evaluating the projects either to economically justify the investments or to assess the quality of the system and of on-line services to citizens. The purpose of this paper is to suggest a set of factors to take into account for evaluating e-government portals and to empirically test the factors to provide useful implications for building such portals. Based on the literature reviewed, we constructed a research model that includes content, public service, community, design, technology, and portal's attributes as independent variables and the user's satisfaction and the administrative efficiency as dependent variables. A reliability test revealed that the evaluation factors proposed in the paper are sufficiently reliable, and a multi-regression analysis indicated that five hypotheses should be accepted. The findings of the study suggest that emphasis should be placed on public service quality and portal site attributes, among others, when implementing portals.

Virtual Network Embedding with Multi-attribute Node Ranking Based on TOPSIS

  • Network virtualization provides an effective way to overcome the Internet ossification problem. As one of the main challenges in network virtualization, virtual network embedding refers to mapping multiple virtual networks onto a shared substrate network. However, existing heuristic embedding algorithms evaluate the embedding potential of the nodes simply by the product of different resource attributes, which would result in an unbalanced embedding. Furthermore, ignoring the hops of substrate paths that the virtual links would be mapped onto may restrict the ability of the substrate network to accept additional virtual network requests, and lead to low utilization rate of resource. In this paper, we introduce and extend five node attributes that quantify the embedding potential of the nodes from both the local and global views, and adopt the technique for order preference by similarity ideal solution (TOPSIS) to rank the nodes, aiming at balancing different node attributes to increase the utilization rate of resource. Moreover, we propose a novel two-stage virtual network embedding algorithm, which maps the virtual nodes onto the substrate nodes according to the node ranks, and adopts a shortest path-based algorithm to map the virtual links. Simulation results show that the new algorithm significantly increases the long-term average revenue, the long-term revenue to cost ratio and the acceptance ratio.

A Group Decision Model for Selecting Facility Layout Alternatives

  • Facility layout problems (FLP) are usually treated as design problems. Lack of systematic and objective tools to compare design alternatives results in decision-making to be dominated by the experiences or preferences of designers or managers. To increase objectivity and effectiveness of decision-making in facility layout selections, a decision support model is necessary. We proposed a decision model, which regards the FLP as a multi-attribute decision making (MADM) problem. We identify sets of attributes crucial to layout selections, quantitative indices for attributes, and methods of ranking alternatives. For a requested facility layout design, many alternatives could be developed. The enormous alternatives, various attributes, and comparison of assigned qualitative values to each attribute, form a complicated decision problem. To treat facility layout selection problems as a MADM problem, we used the linear assignment method to rank before selecting those high ranks as candidates. We modelled the application of the Nemawashi process to simulate the group decision-making procedure and help efficiently achieve agreement. The electronics manufacturing service (EMS) industry has frequent and costly facility layout modifications. Our models are helpful to them. We use an electronics manufacturing service company to illustrate the decision-making process of our models.

Multi-Attribute Data Fusion for Energy Equilibrium Routing in Wireless Sensor Networks

  • Data fusion is an attractive technology because it allows various trade-offs related to performance metrics, e.g., energy, latency, accuracy, fault-tolerance and security in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Under a complicated environment, each sensor node must be equipped with more than one type of sensor module to monitor multi-targets, so that the complexity for the fusion process is increased due to the existence of various physical attributes. In this paper, we first investigate the process and performance of multi-attribute fusion in data gathering of WSNs, and then propose a self-adaptive threshold method to balance the different change rates of each attributive data. Furthermore, we present a method to measure the energy-conservation efficiency of multi-attribute fusion. Based on our proposed methods, we design a novel energy equilibrium routing method for WSNs, viz., multi-attribute fusion tree (MAFT). Simulation results demonstrate that MAFT achieves very good performance in terms of the network lifetime.

  • 센서 네트워크는 온도, 습도 등 서로 연관된 여러 종류의 스칼라 데이타를 감지하기 때문에, 다차원 영역 질의가 유용하게 사용된다. 그리고 데이타 기반 센서 네트워크에서는 데이타가 센서에 직접 저장되기 때문에, 다차원 데이타를 효율적으로 관리하기 위해서는 데이타 주소 지정이 매우 중요하다. 이전의 다차원 영역 질의 처리 기법들은 데이타를 효율적으로 관리하는데 집중하여, 네트워크의 동작 시간(수명)을 고려하지 않았다. 본 논문은 Hilbert 곡선을 이용하여 센서 노드들을 선형화하고, 각 센서에게 데이타 공간을 균일하게 배분시키는, 동적인 데이타 분산 기법을 사용함으로써 네트워크 동작 시간을 연장시키는 방법을 제안한다.

디자인 프로세스에서 평가방법의 문제점과 퍼지이론의 적용 (A survey of evaluation method in the process of product design and the application of fuzzy theory)

  • In the process to design a product, the values of the product will be designed must be considered in respect to the multi-dimensional properties consisted of subjective and objective attributes. As same reason, methods to evaluate the design alternatives in the process must evaluate the overall attributes and relationships among its, also. In this paper, the defectivenesses of evaluation methods in the process of product design are summarized. One of the severe defectivenesses of the methods is the insufficient rationality of calculation procedure. Then, we introduce the developed quantitative evaluation method to accomodate this defectiveness and to be considered a evaluator's feeling or ambiguity when evaluating design alternatives by means of fuzzy theory, and suggest it's application steps on the process of product design to be used easily.
